Workshop on the Go with Tommy Patterned Paper

This new Workshop on the Go Scrapbooking Kit features another new Paper Pack called Tommy. With a definite nautical theme this paper is great for summer.

This Workshop to Go is one of the first kits that will be featured in my new Monthly Workshop on the Go Crop Club.  There is a new page here at my blog that will explain all the details about this new club.  This is going to be a great way to keep those scrapbook pages flowing.  Call or e-mail me with any questions and to sign up.  You don't want to miss out.

Here is a simple card that I put together with the Tommy Paper, an embellishment from the Tommy Assortment, and the exclusive stamp set from the Workshop on the Go Kit.

I started working on a two page layout using the papers and items from this kit, but I need to leave it sit for a bit, and take a look at in the morning see what wonderful ideas pop right into my head.

Leave me a comment below and let me know if you think I am on the right track with this one!

Day 7 of New Idea Book - Surf's Up Paper

Just to mix things up a bit - on this snowy blustery day, I am going to introduce the new Surf's Up Paper Pack from Close to My Heart.

And if you already thought I was a little confused today - wait till you see the very "unsummery"  project I made with this groovy, summer fun patterned paper pack.

I didn't use them on either of the projects I am showing today, but the Surf's up Assortment Embellishment pack is awesome, and the Workshop to Go Kit is going to be a huge hit for summer pages.

Surf's Up Workshop to Go Kit  and Patterned Paper

I do love the summer colours in the Surf's Up papers.  The blues and teals and coral colours are great and really make me wish I was at the beach.
Today though, my eye was caught by the warmth of the gold fabric look paper, and the coral coloured floral paper.  Together these papers just had a nice homey feel to me.
So I got out my February Home Sweet Home Stamp of the Month and the My Creations Star that I have been trying to decide what to do with - and here is what I ended up with.
I really like the way it turned - the papers give it just the feel I was hoping for.  I  hope you like it too.

I also put together a pretty simple card to show you the "ocean view" side of this paper pack:

Stay warm everyone - a few more months and we will all be heading to the nearest lakefront to cool down!

Cheers,

Heather

Day 3 New Idea Book - For Always Patterned Paper

Today I have been working with another new Close to My Heart Paper Pack called "For Always".  As the name suggests this black and white paper is an excellent backdrop for Wedding photos or for wedding accessories (invitations, menus, favour boxes, etc).  However, the great thing about black and white is that it goes with anything.  This paper will work with any colour or theme you can think of.  And - the best part -  co-ordinating fabric.  Yes Fabric!  I am going to have way to much fun finding fun and pretty things for us to create with the new Close to My Heart Textiles that come in two different sets - one to co-ordinate with the For Always papers and one that co-ordinates with the Chantilly papers.

Here is a simple layout I created with the For Always papers.  I added Pacifica and Sky cardstock with the pattern paper at the request of my daughter.  The flower is made with the CTMH For Always Textiles and embellished with a glitter button from the new Black Button Assortment.  The title is cut using the Artiste Cricut Collection from Black cardstock and painted with the Create a Shade Pearl Paint.

Next is a super quick card.  Honestly I took about two minutes to make. The heart is from our new Glitter Paper that is - Cricket Compatible - yes it's true.  I cut this myself!  You will not believe how nicely this paper cuts on your cricut.  Those of you that took advantage of the Whoo's Your Valentine promotion last might have already got a sneak peak at the Glitter paper.  You are going to love it!!

Here are some of the supplies used in this post.  To see more please visit my shopping web site.

Day 2 New Idea Book - Buzz and Bumble

The next new paper pack that I would like to introduce you to is called Buzz & Bumble.  The paper pack is a lovely summertime treat.  The papers will co-ordinate beautifully with earth tones, but can be livened up with some brighter shades for a bit more kick.

I have used the Buzz & Bumble patterened paper to cover one of the Close to My Heart My Creations Recipe/Photo Boxes. I decorated and embellished using the stamps and accessories that are included in the Buzz & Bumble Workshop to Go Kit.

The girls and I are going to use this box to keep seed packets in and maybe to collect magazine clippings and notes when we find something we want to try in our garden that we are planning for 2013.  I really like the way it turned out.  Take a look and see what you think.   Heather

Chantilly Lace.....

the only thing I  don't like about this paper pack is that I can't get the Big Bopper out of my head, and an overwhelming urge to watch Happy Days re-runs.

Seriously -  I am having a great time working with this set of papers.  I cannot believe how many different looks and colour combinations are possible with this set.  Here a few cards I have made so far.  I don't think I will be running out of ideas for this great paper pack until the next idea book comes out!

Home Sweet Home - February Stamp of the Month

This month's Stamp of the Month is a wonderful set of sentiments about our love of  the comforts of Home.  Whether it is a building or a feeling - there really is no place like Home.  So lets celebrate all the things that "Home" means to us.

I knew that I wanted to do a scrapbook layout with these stamps, I found this picture of my 2nd daughter the day after she was born, at Home.  My labour was very quick and we never made it to the hospital, so this seemed like a great photo to feature on a page about the joys and comforts of Home.

To create this layout I used one of our brand new paper packs called Chantilly.  I absolutly adore this paper, and the button embellishment are one of my favourite in the new Idea Book.  I also used an embellishment from the new Wooden Mini-Medly Accents set, Champagne, Cashmere, and Colonial White Card Stock, and an old favorite the Rossette Ribbon.   Don't forget to visit one of my preview days next week to see these great new products in person.

This lovely stamp set is available during the month of February for only $5 with a purchase of $50.00 or more.  You are also able to purchase these stamps for the regular price of $17.95, but only until February 28th.
