Flower bear

Morning Folks!
Are you going to be watching the BIG Royal Wedding later? I might watch for a bit, I'm looking forward to seeing the actual event, but I'm already bored by all the media chatter!

In the meantime, here's my mid way reminder post for the challenge over at Penny Black Saturday Challenge.
As usual ANYTHING PENNY BLACK GOES
The optional 'Extra' challenge this month is
USE YOUR FAVOURITE PENNY BLACK STAMP

As usual, I found it almost impossible to choose just one favourite PB stamp - I love them all! Eventually I settled on using this cute bear stamp, called unsurprisingly 'Flower Bear', because it is useful for many different occasions - birthdays, thanks, get well soon etc.  I also used one of my favourite layouts:

I love the way this cute bear is trying to hide the flowers behind his back, even though they are taller than him!

Can you smell the sea?

Morning Folks!
Hope everyone is OK and ready for the new challenge over at Sparkles Monthly Challenges, where our new theme is

SEA SHELLS

Confession time from me - I found this a very hard challenge! Despite my best efforts and a good old rummage through both my rubber and digi stamps I couldn't find a single suitable image for this challenge! Time for some head scratching and panicking! Eventually I came up with the idea of a seaside style image with real shells. I found a beach image from a very old precoloured Michael Powell set of papers that I bought years ago but had forgotten about until the aforementioned great seashell hunt. Then I spent another hour playing hunt the seashells in my embellishment drawers .... if only I was more organised!!
Anyhow, enough waffling ... here's my card which I actually quite like after all the hassle!!

Here's a few close ups too:

The hollow shells were also a nightmare to stick down, in the end I packed them with foam squares and added glossy accents to the edges:

Olivia

Morning Folks!

The new challenge at Passion for Promarkers is just starting, Linda has choosen a nice easy theme:
GEMS and / or PEARLS
so we are hoping to see lots of entries!

Here's my card using a new digi I treated myself to last weekend in the Bank Holiday sale over at Digi Stamp Boutique, this is the super cute Olivia.
I had a slight panic whilst colouring this as my cool grey 1 promarker was dying but it just about lasted so that I could finish the kitty fur. Had a check and realised that I had had that promarker well over 3 years - which is really good value for money I reckon!
Hope you can see the tiny gem on the collar:
The papers are my latest favourites, First Edition Floral Fancy which has just about migrated from the 'stroking' to the 'in use' paper collection!
Flowers are by Prima
Gems, pearls and sentiment from deep in my stash collection.

Don't forget to pop over to

An old favourite!

Morning Folks!
It's a bank holiday weekend here in the UK and the weather forecasters are predicting it's going to be hot - amazing!
Bring it on is all I can say!! I need some decent sunshine!
I hope you have something nice planned for the weekend.

As it is the first Saturday of the month, a new challenge is just starting over at Penny Black Saturday Challenges and as usual
ANYTHING PENNY BLACK GOES
The optional 'Extra' challenge this time is
Use Your Favourite Penny Black Stamp

Goodness me, I think this has to be one of the toughest challenges ever!! I mean really where to start - I have sooo many favourite PB stamps - I really struggled to choose. I must have wasted at least an hour trying to make up my mind. In the end I decided to use this little cutie:
The stamp is called Delights and I opted for this one because I think (??) it is the first PB hedgehog stamp I ever bought and my addiction has just spiralled from there! I love the simplicity of this stamp, which makes it suitable for lots of occasions.

Here's the card I made:

Card Details:
Penny Black 'Delights' coloured with promarkers
Embossing Folder - Crafter's Companion English Country Garden Collection - Delicate petals
Papers - Dovecraft Back to Basics Berry Blush and scraps
Sentiment - LOTV
Memory Box 'Pippi' Butterfly die cut
Pearls, gems and ribbon from stash.

I do hope you'll pop over to the main blog, just click on the picture below, to see which stamps the rest of the design team used on their inspiration cards.
We're also looking forward to seeing your entries, we are generously sponsored by

It's Reindeer Time!

Hello Again,
I'm back again with my second DT post of the day!

As it is the first of the month, we have a new challenge over at SPARKLES CHRISTMAS CHALLENGE , and the theme choosen by Lynne is:

REINDEER

Brace yourselves because my card is quite bright and bold! I've used a digi from Bugaboo, that I've had for years - I can't find the exact same image in the shop just now but there are some which are quite similar. I thought the bold image would work with this equally bold spotty paper from Dovecraft - Spots and Stripes Festive range. The wooden star was a RAK from a friend and the gold sentiment has been cut with a Xcut die.

Obviously this isn't just any reindeer - it has to be Rudolph complete with a shiny red nose! He's coloured with promarkers.

Amy with Gifts

Morning Folks!
This is my first DT post of the day - unusually two DT posts are on the same day so I'll be along with my post for Sparkles shortly, but in the meantime ...

This week, for the new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers, we'd like to see some

EMBOSSING

(wet or dry or both if you are feeling adventurous!)

Here's my card using Gift Amy from our sponsor Sasayaki Glitter:

I was really pleased when I managed to buy this fab embossing folder (along with a few stamps) from a fellow crafter on Facebook a few weeks ago. It's Cuttlebug - Happy Birthday which I have been wanting for ages but never managed to find at a sensible price. I embossed a piece of Core'dinations cardstock, lightly sanded it and then added some Wink of Stella and tiny gems for a touch of sparkle.

Don't forget to pop over to
to see what the rest of the design team have made!
Get creating with your Letraset / Winsor & Newton markers and join us!! Remember you can enter any type of creation, it doesn't have to be a card.

As I mentioned this week we are generously sponsored by Sasayaki Glitter

who are giving a digi to our lucky winner!

Thanks for visiting today xx
