Sweet tooth Mouse

Evening Folks!
A quick post from me tonight, I just wanted to show you the card I made today for the monthly progressive challenge over at Gerda Steiner Designs. This little cutie is called Sweet Tooth mouse, he looks like he's having fun licking out the bowl - I'm not sure what's in there, perhaps vanilla cake mixture ?? Ahh, happy childhood memories!
I gave the grey promarkers a bit of an outing colouring this one, not sure why but I felt this was definitely a grey rather than a brown mouse. This is a bit smaller than my usual card size so I kept it CAS - I wanted the image to be the main feature, plus I also needed to get some dinner cooked too :-)

I'm looking forward to seeing what image Gerda sends out for October, so far they have all been super cute and fun to colour.
Thanks for visiting today and for any comments you leave xx

Get your party hat on!

Afternoon Folks!
I actually found the time to finish a card this week which was not for a DT commitment - yay!
I needed a card for a male relative so I reached for one of my all time fave PB stamps 'Birthday Dog' along with some papers from the Wellington collection.

He is coloured with promarkers and a distress ink background. I added a bit of glossy accents to his nose and a bit of wink of Stella for a little sparkle around the candles:

Deacon's Swing

Morning Folks!
Hope you're all well?
This week, the new challenge at Passion for Promarkers is

THE GREAT OUTDOORS

Autumn seems to be well on the way here, there is bit more of a nip in the air as the evening arrives. Have to admit to sneaking the heating on for a bit last week, not for long but I can't stand being cold - makes me miserable! You might have guessed that summer is my favourite season (the hotter the better!) but I do love the colours of autumn and these seem to be reflected in my most recent makes including this one:

I used a cute Bugaboo image called Deacon's Swing which I think was a Friday Freebie years ago. I can't find it in the shop but there are some lovely digis featuring Deacon.

Little Hooty

Morning Folks!
Goodness, how can it be the middle of September already? Even more scary, how can my son be 18 today, I'm feeling old!!!
Over at Sparkles Monthly Challenges the new theme is

USE YOUR DIES & PUNCHES

Here's my card using a Stampin' Up owl punch which I 'had to have' but which has not seen that much use! I blew the dust off of it and found some nice autumnal coloured scraps of paper to use. The background wood grain paper is from The Works, amazing quality for £2 a pack - it is really more like card.  The sentiment is a Letraset Rub On - remember those??

The owl is perched on a trimmed down Memory Box Lavish Branch and the corners are made using a  Diesire die.
Here's a closer look at Little Hooty:

Lucy's Flowers

Morning Folks!
Hope everyone is OK? I have a very sad face today as I'm going back to work after the summer holidays - I'm worse than the kids!!
This week, the new challenge at Passion for Promarkers is

ALL IN A DAY'S WORK

We would like to see you use images which reflect someone's occupation.

Here's my card using 'Lucy's Flowers'  from our sponsor Sasayaki Glitter, obviously she is a gardener or perhaps a florist!!  I actually had another piece of paper in mind for the background while I was colouring,  but then at the last minute decided this bold stripe looked better. It was in my odds and ends collection of uncut 6 x 6" papers, it might be dovecraft but I can't be sure as the front cover sheet is long gone. I decided the large image and bold paper didn't need much embellishment.

Unusual for me to colour a person rather than an animal, hoping that my colouring of hair is getting better!

Rudy Reindeer

Surprise - it's me again!!
I know just like buses nothing for ages and then 2 posts back to back!

We have a new challenge starting over at SPARKLES CHRISTMAS CHALLENGE today and the theme is:

CHRISTMAS ANIMALS

What could be more 'Christmassy' than a reindeer?
I was the winner over at A Gem of a Challenge in July and this gorgeous digi stamp was one of the stamps I choose as my prize. He's called Rudy Reindeer and you can find him here in the shop. The papers are from an assortment of Christmas pads, the ribbon is from Wilko, sentiment is LOTV and the wooden star was a RAK from a friend.

He was so much fun to colour with the trusty promarkers. Hope you can see the glossy accents on the nose and stickles on the snowflakes.

Hippo and Ducky

Morning Folks!
It's a new month and time for a new challenge over at

This month we are using this colour palette as our inspiration

or you can just join us with our 'Anything goes' option. I have to be honest here, much as I liked the colour palette I didn't really have a clue what to do with it for ages. Luckily, I found this very old and slightly yellowing stamp during my great stash sort out, it's from LeLo designs and is called Bath Time. The image with the water overflowing the tub made me think of the aqua colours in the palette. Here's the card I made:

Wish I could buy a flowery bath tub like this one!

I have used my 'current favourite' papers, Dovecraft More or Less, as the main background along with a scrap of aqua paper from my folder. Coloured with promarkers and a touch of  white opal liquid pearls. There is also some wink of Stella glitter on the foam. Flowers and rainbow drops are from my stash.

I hope you'll join us over at
This time we are generously sponsored by Di's Digi Designs

Our lucky winner will get 3 digi stamps!
