Fish are Jumpin'

Morning Folks!
I'm back home after a few days away in the Netherlands which was wonderful - I don't think I have ever seen as many Spring bulbs before!! This was the view across the fields about 5 minutes from where we were staying:
Just stunning!
Back to blogging, this week Kitty has chosen the new challenge theme over at Passion for Promarkers  which is  ADD A CHARM

Here's my card, with apologies for the slightly fuzzy picture! I found this fish charm in my stash and so the fishing theme was decided! I was quite surprised to find I had 3 fishing stamps in my collection - not bad considering I don't know any fishermen! I decided to go with the Penny Black stamp (no big surprise!) as it matched the colours on this piece of stripey paper really well!

Love the lips on these fish!!

Little ladybirds

Morning Folks!

This week, Karen has chosen the theme of

FLOWER POWER

for the new challenge at Passion for Promarkers

We are generously sponsored by:

who are giving 4 digi images to our lucky winner!

Recently, in an uncharacteristic bid to get more organised and to reduce the amount of stray notes and scraps of paper on my desk (which I always mislay at the crucial moment) I decided to invest in a decent notebook. Sadly, the supermarket selection was practical but a little dull ....

so I decided to use this fun bugaboo image called Scene it - ladybugs to add a bit of interest:

Here's a closer look, the ladybirds have glossy accents on their shells and there's a touch of stickles on the flowers!

I'm hoping that the bright colour will mean that I'll be able to find the notebook on my desk ... wish me luck because it currently looks like a bombsite!
I'm off to do some tidying up!

Meanwhile, don't forget to pop over to

Gingerbread man

Morning Folks!
Pinch, punch first day of the month ...
Could someone please tell me why March went by so quickly??  It will soon be Christmas again!!
If you are trying to get ahead this year with your Christmas makes you might like to join the fun over at Sparkles Christmas Challenge, where the new theme is

CANDY CANES

I must admit when I first read this challenge theme, my heart sank a bit because I don't have many stamps that have a candy cane on them. The House Mouse one I did think about using includes a hamster and no matter how hard I try when colouring him, he always ends up looking like a ginger tennis ball - not really the desired effect. After some head scratching and a quick google search, I found this cute gingerbread man complete with candy cane at Whimsie Doodles - perfect for a quick tag:
