Travel tag

Morning Folks!

Hope everyone is OK and looking forward to the weekend!
It's time for our 100th challenge over at CRAFT!!

This week we have 2 fantastic sponsors, Fantastic Ribbons + Lia Stampz
and we would like you to use the following recipe:

Ribbon, a tag, 2 squares and a circle

Now, I have to be honest - I really struggled with this challenge as my mojo for card making seems to have run off into the distance. After another card went in the bin, I decided to play with my new stamp from Crafty Individuals and distress inks, along with a luggage tag from Paperchase. Here's the finished result, quite a literal interpretation of the recipe!!

I think the postmark stamp just about counts as a circle and the ribbon started out as peach coloured until I grunged it up a bit!!

Thanks for looking and I do hope you can join us over at CRAFT this time

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

Crafts and Me : Vintage / Distressed
Lollipop Crafts : Shabby chic / vintage
Rainbow Lady - take a town, country or city break

Butterfly cake!

Morning Folks!
Hope you are all OK and looking forward to the Easter long weekend!
Time to stock up on chocolate!!

We have a new challenge for you over at CRAFT this week, it's nice and easy:

FLOWERS!!

I've used this sweet image called 'Butterfly cake' from one of our sponsors,
Bows and Berries who are offering 3 digis of choice as a prize for one winner and also a discount code to all our followers during this challenge. To get 25% off your order use the code BB25 at the checkout.

Our other sponsor this week is Some Odd Girl, who are also offering 3 digis as a prize!

So on to my card, the photo doesn't show the card off to it's best I'm afraid ;-(
I've printed the image 3 times on pearlescent cream card and also printed the image on to cerise card. Quick touch of colour and then decoupaged up the three cake layers and added the little coloured butterflies along with glitter and gems. Surrounded
image with tiny prima flowers and added liquid pearls to the centres. The sentiment is from Craftwork Cards. Simples!!

Here's a closer view:

Still trying to catch up on my DT cards and things though!!

It's one of my favourite challenges over at Lexi's Creations this fortnight!!

ANYTHING BUT A CARD

I've made a post it note holder, using Ladybug flowers from Lexi's shop, 'Fairy Dust Crafts' .

Not many details to this one, the card is from the Paper mill shop and the paper is from my scraps box. The butterfly is from Craftwork cards and the ribbon is from 'The Art of Craft' . It's hard to see in the photos but the ladybird shell has a layer of glossy accents on it !

Moulin Rouge Altered CD !

Hello Folks!
I've been wanting to try altering again for a while, so I've had a go at altering a CD - a great use for those freebies of NO greatest hits from who knows when from the Sunday papers!!
This is certainly a bit different to my usual style but I treated myself to the new Moulin Rouge paper pack this week and it is lovely - gorgeous rich colours and it really set me thinking - rare event lately!!
I painted the edge of the CD with black acrylic paint, added a scalloped cut piece of Moulin Rouge paper, stamped over it with music score stamp. Added gold embossed flourishes to the edges and a scalloped piece of dark pink organza material (not sure of the proper name??). The bodice is a clear peel off, backed with MR paper and coloured over with promarker to take some of the shine off the edging.Punched out the holes and tied up with ribbon. I'm sure I had an Eiffel Tower charm somewhere..but I couldn't find it! I improvised a little picture of the Eiffel tower instead. Embossed flat silver colored frame with gold embossing
powder and inked over with black, added tiny picture of Eiffel tower and sealed with thin layer of Glossy Accents. Here's a closer look:

Think I might have got the bug for altering things and getting inky - knew I shouldn't have bought Craft Stamper mag -LOL!!
Thanks for looking, would love to know what you think - good or bad???

I'd also like to enter this into the challenge at

The Crafty Pad - Alter a CD
Just for Fun - Circles

Meet Rupert!!

Morning Folks!

This morning is a blog first for me - my first blogged scrapbook page!!

I haven't done any scrapbooking for so long!

Anyway, I got a shove in the right direction as our theme at CRAFT this week is

ANIMALS / PETS

so I decided to scrap this recent picture of my very own Easter Bunny -

RUPERT a.k.a. the one eared wonder!!

Sorry about the poor piccy, I haven't got the hang of photographing big pages yet and I think the sun was a bit bright when I took the photo - not that I'm complaing LOL!! In real life the colurs are a bit brighter with more contrast!!

The CRAFT challenge is sponsored this time by Just Tracys Crafts

The prize for the winner is this cute stamp:

Please pop over and check out the rest of the design teams lovely creations and I do hope that you can join us this week!!

Monochrome Mermaid

Morning Folks!!

It's time for a new challenge over at Lexi's Creations, this fortnight our theme is

MONOCHROME

We have a fantastic promarker prize from Letraset up for grabs!!

Here's my card, unusually for me I picked aqua, which is a colour I love but rarely use on cards!!

Still what else could I use with this fab Melody Mermaid image from Fairy Dust Crafts!!!

It doesn't show up too well in the photos but I have used glossy accents covered in glamour dust on her tail to give a sparkly wet look!! Also added some stickles for the waters edge.

Here's a closer look at the 'seaweed' embellishments at the side, complete with mermaid charm from Ewe2cancraft.

Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget we'd love to see your projects over at
