New Life- Busy Life- No Life??

Before things go out of hand, I better steal some precious time that I have left to update and blog.

Have started work at new PR agency situated at Club Street. Food is good there, except I have to worry bout' eating alone cos I have no colleagues to eat with. My two Caucasian bosses are nice, but I don't expect to eat with them too often. I guess will have to pester Peiqiao and Delia to lunch with me hehehe....they are like 10min walk away!

Work is going to be hectic, to say the least. I can almost see myself trying to stay afloat in a few weeks' time....hope things will get better in time to come. I really hope this job will work out and perhaps grow my career with this agency. Fingers crossed.

One of the perks of working here is that I'll get to travel. Exciting trip to HK coming up real soon this Sat. I'll be there shopping over the weekend and then go for an induction training in the HK headquarters on Monday. I'll be back in Spore on Tues night. Was hoping to get Wed morning off work but it seems they desperately need me in office by Wed morning...boo! Gonna be so tired.

My first work trip abroad, alone. Hope everything goes well. I know my parents and Eric are gonna freak out over here in S'pore worrying about my safety.

Too bad I can't catch Eric in action for the NSL opening match on Sat. Wish my Dear all the best. Will miss you lots.

Pam is fretting over V-Day

Shit la. Don't know what to get Eric for V-Day. He has been so nice to me, how how? Must get something special for him.

Shall I:

-Bake a cake for him? Sure fail, so cannot.

-Cook a nice meal for him? Also sure fail, so cannot.

-Make a nice card? Done before, nothing special.

-Buy him a much needed timepiece? Not sincere, use money to buy his heart...

-Running out of ideas....

Maybe I'll just give him what he needs most- Sleep time! hahaha...

The Most Exciting Day In HWA

I've spent close to a year in HWA, and today shall go down as the most exciting day working in HWA.

The clock struck 12 and it was time for lunch. But alas! My usual lunch khakis were treated to a meal by another colleague of mine, so I went for lunch with Silas- (Mr Look-like-nice-guy).

We decided to lunch at Shaw Plaza, instead of the usual Whampoa Market. Silas treated me to Suki Sushi, as a farewell meal since he would be leaving HWA for reservist in Feb. The air-conditioned setting, and wasps of fresh Jap food around us created a relaxed lunch setting. I was shocked when Silas noted the time- 1.10pm!

Late! So we quickly took our leave...and went downstairs for McDonald's soft serve ice-cream. =) My turn to treat Mr Look-like-nice-guy.

As we were rushing out of the building and walking back with quick steps, our soft serves fast melting in hand, Silas spotted a HWA van on the road. It was 3rd in line at the traffic junction, and the light was red. Should we just take the 10min walk back to office or.....?

We then did the most exciting thing. Silas did a quick signal to the driver and swiped open the sliding door. Both of us hopped onto HWA van swiftly, like some spies being tracked down by the merciless government.

Just as the 2 cars in front accelerated, our driver stepped on the pedals and off we go! Licking our soft serves with satisfied smiles on our faces, we reached HWA in just 3 minutes. As we were still late, Silas decided we should not enter from the front reception area, in case our Director (whose room is near the reception area) spots us.

But as we were walking around the reception and heading for the back door, we met our Assistant Director, walking right towards us. Damn Silas, for your brilliant idea....

Both of us tried to hide our giggles and tried acting normal, but our shrewd AD asked "Why so happy today?"

All Silas could think of at the moment was to hold up what was left of his soft-serve, and say "Ice-cream!" It made the both of us look like small kids......

We couldn't contain our roaring laughter once our AD went past us. Yes, that was the most exciting day in HWA for me, however lame the whole incident was.

Disclaimer: No vehicles or ice-cream were hurt in the process....er...but perhaps a few salmon and shisamo were sacrificed =)

Another dose of WangLeeHomania!!

Thanks to Zhimian, I got another dose of lethal WangLeeHomania....right in my bedroom!

I can't believe this friend of mine actually bought me the latest album, and had it delivered to my doorstep.

Love the calendar that came with the album. Totally hot.

Thanks Babe....Muaaaaaaaaaacks!

chicken soup for the soul

Where or who do you turn to when you are feeling blue or simply dreadful?

I know a lot of my friends turn to their partners or close friends and colleagues for support and guidance...but I prefer, sometimes, to keep things inside and wish for those feelings to just go away.

If all else fails, I can always count on Oprah for some guidance and consolation.

I just did that. Visited Oprah.com and read an article on Love. "The Un-Couple: Just Friends...Really"

Instant gratification for a lost soul like me. The article re-arranged my thoughts, and I now know what my stand is on a certain relationship. It suddenly cleared my mind of negative thoughts that have plagued me for the past 2.5 years.

Thanks Dear, for being unconditionally understanding throughout this period. I think you are the greatest! And you deserve my greatest love....

Wang Lee HoMania

I stood for 3 hours, all the while tip-toeing to catch Wang Lee Hom LIVE IN ACTION at the Indoor Stadium.

Zhimian and I were screaming throughout, and totally exhausted ourselves on Saturday. Simply unforgettable when he said his pants were too tight.....oh my god it was so freaking sexy! I think I was the only one screaming when he said that...ssseeessshhh can't believe I could go so crazy over him. *blush*
And then there was another unforgettable moment when I was only 3 feet away from the Music Man himself. Yes! He walked along the aisle where we were sitting, and I was about to lean over the 2 policewoman standing guard in front of me, in a bid to touch him. But alas! I was pushed over by the wave of crazy fans BESIDE me at the very last minute.

Note: they were beside me, not in front of me, so I was in fact not blocked at all, and it was totally possible that I would be able to grab a piece of Lee Hom that night!

WTH, so in the end I was pushed away and nearly fell. But I caught a glimpse of Wang Lee Hom just as I was about to fall. That 3-second seem to be frozen in time and the image of him would last me a lifetime...........oh man.......................so damn handsome......

Zhimian even managed to take a shot of him while she was falling. Best shot of the night Babe!

He was that close okay..........

Check out his bod

And then after a shower when I returned home that night, while patting my legs dry with my towel, I suddenly felt a sharp pain on my left knee. There, I found a huge bump and bruise. And I recalled the fall earlier- during all that mania around me, I bumped into a chair. Damn.
But it was all worth it.
Thanks Dear for the tickets to the best concert of the year! Muuuuaaaacccks!

Woohoo...my 2009 schedule book!

I was presented with a nice pink-purplish box one evening, when I met up with some old classmates for BBQ. Turns out it was a thoughtful gift by a long-time best friend Ms Lin Peiqiao =)

She remembers my favourite flower, and left a small stalk of pink Tulip on top of a 2009 schedule book. Yes, we are all organised freaks, and we love cutesy schedule books to detail our not-so-cute work commitments.

Thanks Babe! The book is really CUTE!

Thanks Love...Muacks!

My Dear is so sweet, he surprised me by putting 2 tickets to Wang Lee Hom's concert in my bag, on the day that I was supposed to do my teeth extraction!.....he hopes this "little surprise" will help sooth any pain later on.

This $400 surprise is not "little" at all my love.

And what's most touching is, my Dear is asking me to go watch with Zhimian!! He says I will enjoy it more with her, since he can't appreciate Lee Hom's performance...............
(I think he doesn't want to see me salivate lah...haha!)

I was laughing all the way to the dentist, definitely took some of my fears away. At least for a while =)
