Things have been going rather well lately. So well, that right now I'm kind of at a loss as to what to blog about. However, it's been a while and it seems appropriate.
So, I have discovered that the CSU marching band practices Monday, Wednesday, Friday from about 3 until 6...or so it seems. Jude and I often go and listen. He's made several friends (more like fans) with the cheerleaders, or whatever they are, that are associated with the Band. Not that I'm surprised that girls are smitten with Jude...
I babysit a sweet baby a few days a week. Jude has learned, rather quickly, how to be gentle and be pals with the baby. Every time we see him, Jude gets bright-eyed and says "baby!" I think they both have a good time watching each other and being pals.

As much fun and excitement as we have during the day, the BEST part of the day is when Daddy comes home. Starting at about 3 or so, Jude starts to look around - out every door and window - and say "Daddy!" with anticipation and excitement. When he hears any kind of noise in the house, he asks for his Daddy. I'm convinced that not only is Jude excited to see his Daddy, but he's also incredibly sick of Mommy by 3:00 and he's in need of a change of pace. So, when Daddy comes home, they rough-house on the bed, play with whatever toy is Jude's fancy of the day, go on a walk, etc. We both love it!

Jude was gifted with the GLORIOUS hair from Ross. It's a beautiful color, thick, quick-growing, and just overall amazing. Unfortunately for him, this means that it grows fast and grows into his ears, etc. I am always feeling like he needs a hair cut. So since we have the clippers and he needed a cut...

Sadly, this experience was like torture for Mr. Baby Pants. More than anything I think it was the noise of the trimmer rather than the actual trim. Nonetheless, he hated it! But once you start, you can't stop... It's not very even - there are patches of longer pieces everywhere but it pretty much got the job done. Now with his shorter hair, Jude looks like a different kid! He's so cute and looks so much older. I miss his long-haired self though. Luckily it'll all be grown back and I'll be wishing for another cut in a few days.

We had some company this week and Jude was such a trooper to help me clean!

What would a kid's life be like without a picture of them playing with pots and pans and wooden spoons? (note the baby gate in the background....clearly I'm motivated to keep him out of the kitchen)
