Christmas: Jude's first Christmas!!! What a joy it was to have him around. What an even better mother I am that we made it through 3 Christmas celebrations and I didn't take a SINGLE picture of Jude's first Christmas. ...tear. I can't believe that I was such a dork and didn't take any pictures. Thankfully, the grandparents were on top of it and got some taken. The weather was nice though so we were able to see all of our family without any driving issues. We had a nice time with everyone...mostly. HAHAHAH...just kidding, we did have a nice time.
New Years: We didn't do much. I was intending to be in bed around 10 or so but Jude had other plans in mind. He had a little cold and was up a lot!!! I think I ended up falling to my last resort and was nursing him at midnight in order to get him to go back to bed. It worked, thankfully, but he didn't sleep in and we were up bright and early at 6:45 on New Years Morning. The next night, I made some changes. We had a hot humidifier with vapo-steam, we raised the head of his mattress, his nose was saline-sprayed and suctioned, and we put vicks vapo-rub on his chest. He slept great that night and has done so since! (knock on wood).
Jude and our good friend Kyra
Jude has been growing like a little monster! He's 5 months old (plus one week) and is such a boy! He pulls himself to a standing position, he can sit all by himself, and he's saying "da da". I'm amazed to see how much he's learning and growing!! He still hates being on his tummy and has decided that the whole rolling over thing is just not his cup of tea. He can roll from his tummy to his back but what's more likely to happen is that he lays on his tummy crying just waiting for mommy to get him out of his unwanted situation. I try not to give in...but apparently I do because that's what he does. He just seems to have absolutely no interest in moving around if it isn't on his feet.
Thanks Burnsides for the shirt!

Big boy bath tub!
Probably Jude's favorite part of the day is when Daddy comes home from work! No matter his mood, Jude gives BIG smiles to his Dad and then follows it up with the Evening Report - a time when he just babbles about his day.
He is such a trooper and will join me on pretty much any errand and doesn't make a fuss. He's just a wonderful addition to this family and we're so thankful for him! I'm excited to see the things that go on in 2011!
