Joseph Turns 3!

Joseph requested a firetruck birthday and that's what he had. We had party food including matchstick pretzels, fire hose roll-ups, fire balls and fire extinguishers to drink. Joseph invited his friend, Jack Patton, and his sister, Ava, and family to the party. His favorite part was running around in the back yard. He ripped open one present, then went straight to the next. The kids wore fireman hats and enjoyed eating cake. Fun was had by all!

Art Show

Julia's art was selected for an Art Show displayed at the mall for students' work Pre-K through 12th grade. This was an honor because she was one of few preschoolers chosen. She made a birthday cake from glue and tissue paper and was so proud.
After we found out that she was selected, she went to her Daddy and said, "It was an accommplishment for my artwork to be selected and I think that I need a reward" (accomplishment was one of their fancy words she learned at school).  So Curt gave her $3 and she was excited. I asked her if she was going to buy something special with her money and she said, "Mommy, you know the kids that don't have enough food to eat? I want to buy them some food". My heart just melted that she would have such a giving spirit. I hope this continues for her.

Surprise-Tinkerbell!

Tinkerbell paid a surprise visit to Madi's birthday party. Julia was SO excited and followed everything every move she made.

Caught ya!

Opening Valentine's Gifts!

The kids always enjoy opening presents. Julia was so excited that she did a party dance when she opened her movie gift card from us. I thought she might be too young to appreciate a gift card, but she recognized what it was and immediately began dancing. Joseph was most excited about the candy.

Preparing for Valentine's Day

The ice cream cone cocoa gifts we made for Mrs. Sarah and Mrs. Angela.

What else, but heart nails to celebrate Valentine's Day!

I Found Mommy's Boots

Tired Out

This little guy can run and play like the energizer bunny, but when it is time to sleep, he crashes.

Making Valentine's Cookies

Joseph has gotten interested in cooking lately. He likes to be in charge of the mixer. He knows how to lock it, turn it on, and especially likes to turn it on high.

We made the cookies and the frosting from scratch!
The finished product!

Dancing Queen!

Just a regular day in the life of a dancing 5 year old. Julia likes to dress-up and perform dances for us. She told me that she has a "fashion sense" so she picks out her own costumes for the shows.

Making Valentines!

Julia and I made special butterfly Valentine's this year. She decorated them with glittery hearts and personalized each one by writing her classmate's name and her name on every one by herself.

Joseph wanted to make Valentine's too, but his favorite part was eating the leftover suckers:)

Joseph Riding his Plasma Car

Joseph loves riding his plasma car around the house.

Julia loves playing with her barbie's.

Joseph likes to imitate what his sister does. He also LOVES to play in water. I caught him washing the baby's hair.

Cotton Bowl, January 2012

Curt and I had a good start to 2012. We went to watch the Razorbacks play in the Cotton Bowl in Dallas. We had great seats only 6 rows from the field. We cheered them to Victory!

Post Christmas Little Rock Trip

We had a nice trip visiting our friends in Little Rock. The kids had a good time playing and the adults had a good time visiting and shopping. We took the kids to eat at the train restaurant, All Aboard!

Christmas 2011

We had a great Christmas season this year. We are once again very blessed! Thank you to all our family and friends that shared this special holiday with us. We had a wonderful time sharing good food and fun times with everyone!

We got lots of new ornaments this year. These homemade jesters were some of our favorites.
