After football practice, we went to the 2009 Legacy Elementary Pumpkin "Value" Walk. Easton's 1st grade class wants others to know that Manners are important.

Lake Powell 2009
Lake Powell 2009 was a great year, except for the fact that our girls weren't with us. Jordyn being in Ghana and Shea serving a mission in Edmonton. Todd Whitt, Meggie, Dani, and Ryne were all on the trip, but Annie was attending to Kids Village and Chase was finishing up some classes at UVU. John wasn't able to be with us either. Kyle was there and so were our good friends Dave and Janie Morley and their 2 boys Tyler and Steve, which is always a pleasure. The weather was great with no rain and beautiful blue skies. Nothing greater than being with family in the beautiful Lake Powell. We look forward to 2010!
Tubing is and was always great entertainment. Easton realized that it wasn't as scary as he thought and that he can hang on even with the big kids.
Nothing brings a family closer together than spending time at Lake Powell with those you love.
Cliff jumping is always a must and this year found a great spot that everyone could jump from. It is always a fun event, except when you're scared to death.
Easton isn't scared to try anything. He wanted Boomer and I to let him jump off where the big kids jumped, which was probably too high for them to be jumping off.
Even though we are brave, or think we are, it's intimidating when you get to the top and it's your turn to jump off. It takes a lot of coaxing from yourself and everyone else. It took J a minute to jump the first time, then he couldn't get enough.
E kept jumping and was the last one off, and then said "Just one more time, pleeeeaaaassse!
Meggie was having a hard time convincing herself that she needed to jump from the highest point. She said "If Marnie jumps, then I will" Love the pressure, NOT! So I decided to be brave and take a turn off the top, until I got up there. I couldn't do it, I was so afraid! I didn't care if they all called me a wimp, I couldn't convince myself that I could jump off that high of a cliff. I even started to panic, by then I said "Screw it!" and turned around and went down to a much lower point. Easton tried to make me feel better by saying " It's okay mom, I will jump with you." So we did!
This is my handsome husband, who's middle name is "Lake Powell" Hahaha!
Kyle went with us this year. It was nice to have extra hands to help out. He and Logan spent alot of time perfecting their boarding tricks.
Easton knee boarded for the first time on this trip. Logan had to help him get on the board and then steady him, so that we could take off. I think Logan was water logged by the time Easton was through. He rode forever! He had a blast and was excited that he had a new trick.
Jensen enjoyed the knee board as well. He perfected a 180 and found himself to be very confident on the board. Jensen isn't afraid anymore to try something new.
Today was hiking day. Across the bay, we went to find the hike that Boomer and Todd had been on many years ago. Easton wasn't sure he wanted to go, but was glad that he did when it was over.
Everyone had to swim to the start of the hike because there wasn't anywhere close to park the boats. I stayed and was the boat watcher, and relaxed for a few and read my book. Loved it, but missed out on their great adventure. They had to swim through rocks that were filled with very cold water and saw some great scenery. Everyone said it was a definite do again!
The boys spent HOURS jumping off the back of the boat and swimming around, dunking each other, and just having a great time in the water. Again, Easton was always the last one out of the water. Many hours of King of bunker hill.
I really thought we left the girls home! Hahah! Logan wanted to see if he could fit into Meggie's swim suit. He made us all laugh, and a bit worried at the same time.
We parked in the perfect spot this year. Shade early about 4pm and sunshine early so we didn't sleep the day away! We will definitely have to remember this one!
Sometimes it's hard being the youngest brother. But in the same sense it toughens Easton up enough that it has his older brothers worried for when he grows up.
Lots of wakeboarding! Great scenery too! This is Logan showing us all his skills! He is very fun to watch, and does better when another boat stops to watch his performance.
Todd and Logan just hanging out watching the scenery and whoever was behind the boat
