Chubby baby no more (9months)

Kaylee Kay turned 9 months on Saturday.  I cannot believe it.  It has gone by so so fast.  Just like everyone had told me it would.  She is no longer my little baby.  She is almost to big to cradle and doesn't like to cuddle in bed in the mornings anymore.  She is so talkative and active now.  She crawls all over the place since 8 months.  She is now waving and saying Hi, mama, dada, and yeah.  She loves food anything I'm eating she wants.  Her favorites are greek yugurt, mashed taters, anything blueberry, rice treats and WATER!  I am still nursing her and I am so glad I have made it this long.  I am loving the quiet times I get with her when she is nursing.  She loves playing with toys and has recently got lots of new ones.  Her favorites are her elephant ball blower and little phone and piano.  She loves music still and has started to dance along mommy:)  She loves her daddy and gets so hyper when she hears the garage door.  She will give kisses and pull your hair out at the same time...haha.  She likes anything with bright colors.  She loves her mommy, and still hates if I leave the room.  She stands up in her crib and likes to pull all of her crib bumpers apart.  She still sleeps through the night (most the time.)  Still has zero teeth,  both the bottom ones are sitting right there but won't break through, poor girl.  Her laugh is the best thing I have ever heard and her smile melts my heart.  I am so lucky to have this baby girl as mine forever.

she used to be like 78% for weight.  She has slimmed out so much since starting to crawl and she is so much more active. The doctor says she is perfect and growing right on pace for her.  She still looks kind of chubby cause she's a shorty.  I do miss the little chubby bunny but sure do love her growing personality and watching her learn new things. We cannot wait to go to Oregon in 5 days to be with my family!! :)

Maui Trip.

We decided to take a little family trip to Maui just the 3 of us.  Zack has been working so hard & has had an amazing year...so we thought it was well deserved.  Plus I've been dying to go to a beach.  Also my parents have a fantastic Timeshare in Maui they weren't going to use, so we were so down to take advantage of free lodging.  So we flew out Sunday the 28th and had to go to Phoenix then Maui.  It was about 6 hours of flying.  I was super nervous about the 5 hour flight with baby, but seriously she did so amazing.  She slept 4 of the 5 hours and never cried.  We were praised by everyone on the plane.  It made me so happy.  She is the best babes.  We got to Maui around 2:30 & got a rental car & i got us a sweet deal on a new Ford Explorer...such a nice SUV.  We headed to the Westin Villas in Kaanapali.  If you Have never been there, it is definitely worth checking out....It is Amazing.  The rooms have full kitchen & a huge jetted tub.  We pretty much spent the week at the pool, lounging, shopping, Eating!  All my favorite things to do.  We brought our baby monitor & were able to leave baby in the room while she napped & we watched her from our phones at the pool.  It was so nice to be able to have some time with Zack alone & get some good sun.  We spent a lot of time at the kids are where they had a pirate ship that u could play in with slides & fun stuff.  Kaylee loved the water and could be in it all day.  Luckily she never got burned...I seriously lathered her up big time.  We ate at amazing places....I gained 4 lbs.  Totally worth it.  It was such a fun relaxing trip.  I did do something so Blond though....we went to the airport to leave back home....got up to the counter & our confirmation # kept saying too early to check in...I'm like um What the heck.  So i ask the lady yeah we were a day early.  SO we had to pay a pretty penny to make it on that flight...but we did it.  Zack had to be back to work and we just wanted to get home.  I was super embarrassed and felt so bad to waste our money like that, but you live & you learn i guess.  Zack was so sweet and understanding.  Also i will never to an overnight flight ever again...we did that on the way home & i couldnt sleep cause baby was sleeping on me & i could never get comfortable.  But overrall we had an awesome time.  Making memories with your family is what this life is about.  I'm thankful Zack works so hard so we are able to take vacations.  We are so blessed.  I love my Family so much.  Till next year....:)

6 months old cutie.

On sept. 15th our Kaylee Kay turned 6 months.  She is the funnest, sweetest little girl in the world.  I cannot explain the joy she brings to my heart.  Her personality is really starting to shine through & it is a Silly one.  She laughs at pretty much anything I do.  She constantly is smiling, which surely brings me pure happiness.  She is loving sitting up and playing with toys...and its been nice to be able to set her down and get things done while she plays.  She still is a cuddle bug who loves to be held.  I love it and never want that to stop.  There are some days we stay in our pjs and snuggle and watch movies all day...some of my very favorite days ever.  She also loves being outside,  I've recently been going walking in the mornings with a couple girlfriends in my culdesac & she loves it.  She also is a sleepy head like her mama.  I usually put her to bed about 9 pm and she usually doesn't wake till 7:30 then i feed her and lay her next to me and we sleep till 9ish.  It's fantastic.  We love SLEEP!! Lucky me.  She eats plain greek yogurt every morning and applesauce or mashed potatoes at night before bed.  She also loves water & Organic apple juice.  I still nurse her every 3-4 hours too.  She also snacks on yogurt buts & rice puffs.  She is a chubby girl.

she fits into anything 6-12 months.  But thinks are usually long on her. :) but her belly fits 12 month clothes haha.  I love this sweet pea more than words can describe and it grows more & more daily. 

Baby Catch up 4 & 5 months...

Soooo i have been so behind in my blogging. No real reason just being a lazy mom:) 

So at babies 4 month check up she was:

16 lbs.

24 inches

16 in head size.

At for months she has started to full on babble like insanely loud.  It's funny.  She likes to mimic my facial expressions.  She can roll over on both sides & scoot a little bit.  tried rice cereal a couple of times not a huge fan.  She is sleeping through the night & really is such a good baby. 

5 month old baby kaylee:

She is still rolling over but she finally rolled from her back to her belly!  She is still not a huge fan of baby food, but we recently gave her mashed potatoes and i think we got a winner:)  She is starting to sit up on her own...not all the way but very close, any day now.  She is the happiest, sweetest girl.  Her laugh is so amazing.  She loves weird noises & when I make silly faces.  She loves nakey time & dance time in the mornings. She loves to be held facing outward so she can be involved.  She doesn't like to take naps when there's things going on, wants to be part of the party.  She sleeps from 9-6 then goes back to better after feeding till about 9. Thank goodness...I am such a sleepy head.  She still likes her binky, and has really started liking toys.  She still loves music, especially when i sing( i have a horrible voice but she likes it.)  Thankfully she still loves morning cuddles & kisses. Loves when her dad comes home, I think she knows it's play time:) Life is getting even more fun everyday with this beauty. Lover her so much.

Oregon trip & Anniversary & birthday....

FINALLY, we got to go to Oregon to see my family and all of my sisters new babies! All of my sisters including my sister in law were pregnant with me, just all 1-3 months behind.  Such a fun thing.  It was so cool to all be able to talk about our pregnancies and have new babies together.  It was so great to see how cute the little cousins were all together.  It will be a blast when they grow up to all be close in age.  Baby girl did great on the plane.  She only fussed on the landing part on the way there because it was a bumpy, fast decent.  But I was so proud she did so great. Slept most the time.  It was so nice to just relax with my whole family for 9 days.  My parents were so in love with baby Kaylee.  She loved them back, especially grandpa.  We spent all night talking, eating, and playing games.  My parents have a huge backyard with a pool, trampoline and a little track to ride the four wheelers. All 12 grandkids were running around having the time of their lives.  Well not the babies of course. HA.  It was funny cause we all breastfeed & we all seemed to be on similiar schedules so we would all be on the porch with our little booby covers on feeding the babies.  It was awesome.  Zack my bro and I went golfing one day, which was really fun.  We also got to go to the Nike employee store and get sick Nike stuff for half off, Zack was dying with Joy!!! I can't wait to go back to Oregon, everytime i leave im so emotional.  I love my family more than anything.


July 9th was our 2 year anniversary!! I can't believe its been that long already, but yet it seems like we have been together forever.  We have been so lucky to have had the best 2 years.  We have never had that "tough first year or 2" as people say.  Truly been so blessed to have Zack.  We are such a good team.  I really could not have asked for a better husband or father to our daughter.  I wake up everyday so happy & content with my life.  And most of that reason is because I chose the right man to marry.  Every anniversary we watch our wedding video and bawl like babies.  I love it.  This year was extra special having our baby girl to celebrate with us.


My 23rd birthday was july 17th. We went to eat at tucanos then went shopping:)  It was such a great day.  Nothings better then being with your favorite people & getting some new stuff.

3 month old tater tot.

My girl turned 3 months on the 15th!!! It's gone by too fast:( I really miss the little body & sweet newborn phase.  But i will have to say that is has been so much fun lately.  She is the happiest, sweetest babes.  She is laughing everyday, almost all day.  She loves to play & kick and be in her bouncer.  Her sweet smiles and cuddles make everyday so amazing.  I really could not be happier with my life right now.  I'm a blessed mommy, and wife to the best man/daddy ever.

3 month happenings:

weighs about 16 lbs

sleeps through the night!! YAYYYYY!!!!

takes 2-3 naps a day depending on the length of each. sometimes 3 small cat naps and sometimes one long 3 hour nap. 

I can finally bring her to the gym daycare, it was so hard the first day to leave her in there, but when i came back she was sleeping sweetly in the swing.  They said she is one of their favorite babies to watch:)

eats about every 2-4 hrs.

loves to be at the pool, just doesn't like to be all the way in the cold water,  loves the hot tub.  Loves when we stand hr up and hold her hands.  Doing great at holding her head up.  Still as reddish hair and big blue eyes.  And the dimpliest chubby booty!! :) Lover her so!

2 month old chunky girl.

Cannot believe my girl is 2 months already.  Craziness.  She is the sweetest thing.  Truly a special girl with the cutest dimpley bum:)  Okay so this past month has been so amazing.  She is so smiley and happy.  Her personality is starting to show and it is seriously so fun.  My favorite thing is her laugh.  On Mothers day morning we were getting her dressed for church and she just started laughing out of no where for like 5 minutes straight.  Her shoulders were bouncing up and down and she was just hysterically laughing,  the best mothers day present i could of asked for.  Zack and I were laughing/crying cause it was so cute.  She has really started to know our voices,  she gets so happy when she hears her dad come in from work.  Her head is getting strong and she tries to stand up.  She loves lights and music.  Still loves to stick her tongue out & play with it.  She is a hyper little girl.  I love it.  Everyday is getting more and more fun.  I am so thankful for this sweet thing in my life.

2 month old happening:

weight: 12 lbs...77% shes a chunker.

Length:  22 in...34%  kinda a shorty.

Head size: 14.76 cm... 17%  her head is growing good but it's still smaller :)

I'm still breastfeeding...she eats about 5 oz every 3 hours in the day, sleeps about 5-6 hours straight at night then wakes up every 3 after that.  But i don't mind.  I get to nap with her in the morning.  She may be allergic to dairy...trying to figure it out.  Has gotten some baby acne/ rash stuff on her face the last week...not the cutest but its going away.  Her hair is still strawberry blond and she still has a lot of it. Also has big blue eyes so pretty.

Kaylee...the significance behind the name.

Kaylee Kay Nelson.  My sweet baby girl.  You are named after your beautiful Aunt Kaylee Kathy.  She was you mommies sister, but not just a typical sister.  She was my best friend in the world.  We were like twins, stuck at the hip our whole lives.  We had a very special unique bond.  We spent almost all of our time together laughing.  She was especially witty,  her humor was one of a kind.  I would laugh till i would literally be sick to my stomach.  She would dance around everywhere, make weird noises, and sing the all day.  She was such a joy to be around.  She was also the loyalist person i have ever met.  If she loved you she would do anything for you.  There were many times she stuck up for me.  She never let others talk bad about me or our family.  But she also was so kind , and accepting of others.  She had friends from everywhere she went.  Her beauty was radiant,  her smile was so contagious.  She had a strong faith in God.  She knew that he had a plan for her & that the church was true.  Her testimony was always a great example for me, even though i was the older sister.  I was so lucky to have her for those 16 years. 

When i lost your aunt Kaylee in the car accident, it was the worst day of my life.  I couldn't fathom the reality of not being able to see her again on this earth.  The pain was honestly to much to carry for me alone....i struggled with who i was & what i believed in.  I felt so alone.  Even though i had a great family who loved me.  I had a huge hole in my heart.  I didn't know how to live without my best friend.  But then i turned to my father in heaven who helped me deal with the pain.  He sent your daddy to save me.  I felt joy again when i was with your dad.  He has been the biggest blessing, besides you.  

I know before you came down to this earth you & her were best buds.  I know she was so excited for you to come down here and be my daughter.  Sharing lots of great stories of us.  You are so blessed to have her as an aunt.  I know without a doubt she loves you.  That she is trying to help you in anyway from the other side.  You guys will have a special connection because of your name.  You will learn to honor her & love her as i do.  But you will also be your own person.  I want you to grow and become a beautiful woman.  Gaining your own strengths & talents.  But i want you to have her also to look up too.  I have always said i was going to name my daughter Kaylee & she always said she would name her daughter Chiami.  It seems so silly, but that's how we were with each other.  It was not silly or weird to us.  I knew when we found out you were a girl that you were going to be Kaylee Kay.  What a special and sweet girl you are.  You have brought so much joy to my life.  You have helped heal my hole in my heart,  it will never be completely whole until i get to heaven and see her again but you have been such a blessing.  I am so honored to be your mother.  You will be such an amazing young woman.  I will love you & tell you how special you are everyday.

I hope you will feel blessed to have your aunts name.  That you will know how special she is & how special you are. I love you sweet daughter.

One month old!!

Baby girl turned 1 month old on Sunday!!  Wow how time has gone by, it seems like yesterday that we were bringing her home.  This has been an amazing, fun month for us.  Our baby girl is the sweetest thing.  She barely ever cries unless she's hungry, but even them it's like a whimper.  She even has had a cold but still is such a happy girl.  She has the cutest strawberry blond hair & big blue eyes. Her fingers & toes are long, so i guess she will be able to climb good...haha.  Her faces she make are super funny.  I would say she gets that from me cause I can make some hideous/ weird faces:)  She also farts a lot, and there loud...it's hilarious, even Zack thinks there funny!  Zack is totally mesmerized/obsessed with this darling girl.  He takes like 20 pics & video a day....so needless to say we got plenty of footage of her.  He is such a help to me which is so nice.  We just love to lay with her and talk to her all night.  She also loves her car seat & loves going in the car.  So we go shopping, dinner all sorts of stuff.  So it's nice cause we are always getting out!  I love being a mom.  Having this little side kick with me is seriously the best.  She has a very sweet special spirit. I'm so blessed to have such a sweet little family. 

1 month happenings for Baby Kay (aka side kick):

* weighs over 10lbs now...shes a good eater
* Loves kisses
* Loves to be held & cuddled
* Loves music
* Loves her car seat & driving in the car
* Farts loudly all day :)
* Gets the hiccups constantly, She HATES them!
* sleeps 3 hour increments at night ( so she wakes up 3x a night)
* sticks out her tongue a lot
* Had her first cold
* Loves her mommies voice, especially when i sing to her.
 

Labor Story:)

To begin lets start with false alarm on March 8th.  I woke up with bad contractions...Zack started timing them and they were about 4 min apart. So we waited for an hour then headed into the hospital.  We got there and i was having major contractions so they checked to see my dialtion. I was only at a 2+ so they watched me for a few hours to see if i could get more dilated.  I didnt so they sent me home since i wasn't far along enough to be induced.  But while this was going on i was talking to my mom cause she was wondering whether or not to fly out.  Her & my sister Karissa flew out on the next flight thinking this was the real deal.  When they arrived i was at home:( The next day was my doc appt.  I told her what happened and she said that because the baby was healthy & I have had so much contractions and was dilated to a 3 & 85% effaced that she would induce me that next Thursday the 15th.  So that was great news.  Because it was only a week away my mom & sister decided to stay and hang out with us:)  Which was so nice. 

Then March 14th in the early hours I woke with strong contractions again.  But then they stopped after 3 hours, so i didnt go in since the next morning i was going to be induced.  Well that day i kept having sever lower back pain & felt major pressure.  I called my doc around 3 pm and she said head into the hospital.  So we went in about 5ish.  My contractions were 1 min apart and super strong.  But i could only feel them in my back.  i was dilated to a 4 & 100% effaced.  My doc came down & said let's keep you.  She said if I wanted she could break my water to get things going faster. So she broke my water & my contractions grew worse. So I got an epidural, which was heaven sent.  So awesome.  Then they out me on petocin to speed up the process.  I chilled for a few hours feeling splendid cause of the epidural.  My dad and sister Ashly flew in late that night just in time:)  we were all pulling an all nighter and it was really nice having my family, zacks family, and caitlin there to support me.  At about 5 am i was at a 10. i started pushing but had to stop because she was almost out after 2 pushes & my doc wasn't there yet.  So we waited for my doc to get there & with 2 more pushes baby Kaylee Kay came out:)  The actual pushing part was the most amazing exciting most spiritual time of my life.  I loved it.  Holding her for the first time was something i will cherish forever.  Having Zack by my side with his sweet words of love & my family made it that much better.  When she looked up at me she reached her little arm out &  touched my chin, i melted.  I knew she had just came from god & from being with her aunt Kaylee.  So special.  She was so mellow & sweet never even cried just was content.  The first breastfeeding went perfect, she latched on with ease and it was so great.  The whole experience was so amazing,  so much easier and actually enjoyable then i would of thought.  I Loved it! Zack & I are so so in love with this baby girl.  She is such a sweet gentle girl.  She smiles & has the sweetest lips of all time.  She looks like her dad to the max.  Which is adorable.  She has the prettiest strawberry blonde hair and her eyes are getting more blue everyday. We love being parents & adore our baby girl.

35 weeks...ahhh!! :)

Week: 35

Total weight gain: 16 lbs

Babys Length: 18.19 inches

Babies Weight: 5.30 lbs

Cravings: sherbet ice cream, fruit.

Aches & pains: Still swelled kidneys, bad back pain.

Baby Movement:  A lot of big movements.  Can feel her body parts.  She is flipping down her body around a lot...:)

Any other happenings: started cleaning like crazy, getting the house all ready.  Feeling some small contractions.  Got strep throat, which was so miserable.  Coughing made my whole stomach felt bruised and kept me up all night.  Haven't been working out since i've been so sick.

Any other Body changes:  My belly button is sticking out a little bit.  My boobs are massive. Just bought 34DD bra today!!! Yikes.  Still no stretch marks, luckily. 

With only 5 weeks i am starting to feel the nerves & excitement kick in.  I started my one week appointments which are making it seem even closer.  Been watching birthing videos cause i'm a weirdo.  I know that everything will go great its just the unknown and the suprise of labor.  We have gotten everything we need for the baby room.  Now just putting it all together.  Had all 3 baby showers and got so much great stuff.  Zack is getting so anxious,  hes just so excited. I'm like its only a month left and hes like uhhh seems like a lifetime lol. Such a silly boy.  We cant wait to see this sweet girl of ours. 

Oregon Baby shower!

Zack & I went to Oregon feb. 2-5th for my baby shower there.  It was so so great.  I had a great turn out and was able to see my friends i haven't seen in forever.  They all were so great and got me the cutest stuff.  My mom and family did an amazing job setting up.  It was a pink & grey my colors.  We had yummy food and played fun games.  Of course my favorite the diaper game....who doesn't love candy filled diapers??? I am so thankful for such loving and supportive friends & family who are always there for me and who already have shown there love for baby girl.
