James truly is the world's best daddy. I know there are others out there who have claimed this title for their husbands or dads, but I'm pretty sure there is no contest. James is the real deal! On our previous blog I did a post

about what an amazing husband he is and here we are almost two years later and I love him more than ever. I always thought James would be an awesome dad, but I really had no idea just HOW awesome until our little Lucas came into our lives.
I know that there are some dads out there that view their role as parent as a job, unpaid, no holidays, without any benefits. THAT IS SO SAD! Parenting is the greatest role James and I will ever play and we LOVE every minute of it.
James does an amazing job of leaving his work behind at the office. Once he steps through our door, he immediately switches to his daddy role and you can tell how much he loves it. The highlight of Luke's day is the moment James walks through the door. He runs to the door yelling "Da Da" with his arms outstretched. The crappiest day at work will be washed away in seconds as he helps to tie on Luke's cape and plays "dinosaurs" with him. He's never been afraid to change a diaper (other than the day Luke decided to pee all over me, ha ha) and he always knows just the right way to help a tired mommy.
James LOVES to read Lucas stories every night and he never skimps on the funny voices. He loves teaching him new animal sounds (the latest is a gorilla - sorry ward members for the gorilla sounds during the Sacrament this past week, lol) and he loves teaching him how to have an imagination. He and Lucas play "clean-up" every night and I love watching him teach Lucas where to put his toys and which things to throw away or give to mommy. Lucas is becoming a super helper, thanks to his daddy.
I think the biggest reason James is the world's best daddy is that he is such an incredible example. He's intelligent, hard working, a worthy priesthood holder, kind, and just a genuinely happy person. I'm so lucky to have him for my husband and Luke is the luckiest kid around to have him for his Daddy!!
