A Child's Prayer
We were saying family prayer last night and my son Brycen starts his "Heavenly Father ~ Oh Wait!! Oh God, the Eternal Father, We ask thee in the name of thy Son that the water in the pool will be warm tomorrow when we go swimming. We thank thee that we are getting good grades and reports in school and at work....." He wasn't being snotty or disrespectful, he was dead serious. I couldn't even tell him that he was doing it wrong because he wasn't really, it's just not the way we usually say our personal prayers. He's just so cute!

tag!
Tagged! Here's a gooey, romantic game of tag. Here's how it works: I will answer questions about Bryan and I. At the end of the post, I'll tag 3 people and post their names. Then, those three people can do the same thing on their own blog and so on and so forth. I was tagged by my cousin Shellie. Now it's your turn!!
What is your husband's name? Bryan
How long have you guys been married? 2 1/2 Years
How long did you date? 4 1/2 Years
How old is he? 14 Years Older than I am...
Who is taller? Bryan
Who can sing the best? Depends on the music. I sing church hymns way better but he really kicks it up with Rock and Roll.
Who is smarter? You really expect me to answer this?
Who pays the bills? We both do. We have seperate checking acounts so we split the bills (but I put all the stamps on the envelopes).
Who does the laundry? We both do
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Me
Who mows the lawn? Him
Who cooks dinner? Mostly Me (but I Love it when my husband cooks! He's a great cook and he really likes doing it, but he is usually not home during dinner time).
Who is the first to admit when they're wrong? Neither of us. We're both too pig headed ~ and besides, I am never wrong!
Who kissed who first? Probably me. I asked him not to and he was a perfect gentleman.
Who wears the pants? I would say… Both of us.
I tag anyone who reads this and would like to participate!

Cool Experience
Sunday morning was weird. The kids and I were ready for church on time, but we were dragging so bad that we ended up being late. Things like... the laundry just seemed urgent that I get a new load started before leaving, the bathroom trash needed to be taken outside, and things like that. It was stuff that could have been done anytime of day, but it seemed imperative that I do it right then!
We arrived while our ward was singing the Sacrament Hymn. We would have usually gone in and found a seat, but for some reason I stayed in the foyer. When the bishop dismissed the Young Men to sit with their families, we went into the chapel. The whole place was full! We walked to the front and there were no empty seats all along the way.
We sat on the very front row next to a really nice lady that I know. She had been sitting all by herself and looked a little sad. While I was getting situated, I looked over and saw that we had passed 2 rows that were completely empty!!! Strange ~ I swear they had people sitting in them when we passed...
The kids kept spreading out throughout the course of the meeting and by the end, my friend was pretty scrunched in the corner of the bench. When Sacrament Meeting was over I said "I hope we didn't take up too much room. It seems we completly took over the bench". She just looked at me and started to cry. She said "I didn't mind a bit. I was really feeling down because my family didn't come with me to church today. It was so nice to share your family with you. They are so beautiful and I had a really great time watching them throught the meeting. Thank you for sitting by me. You made my day ~ Really."
Wow ~ Talk about all the weirdness of the morning clicking together. It was meant to be. Heavenly Father was able to give my friend comfort by getting us to church a little late and making sure we picked the seat next to her. What a remarkable experience and I am so glad He was able to work through me even for such a simple thing.

Employee of the Month!!!
Out of a couple hundred IFA Employees, I was chosen as Employee of the Month. It's a pretty cool thing and I am so excited about it. It's nice to be recognized for all that you do.
Ok, so no matter how I try, it's gonna stay this small size, So.... Here is what the article says:
Debbie Plante was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. She graduated from Cyprus High School with letters in music and cheerleading. She attended SLCC for 2 years and received an Associates in E-Business/Accounting from Stevens-Henager College. She worked as a receptionist before coming to work at IFA as the administrative assistant for the Ag Department at the Salt Lake Office.
Deb says she absolutely loves IFA and "want[s] to stay until retirement. I love the atmosphere and the goodness of the people I work with." Her positive attitude toward her job are evident every day as she hustles around the office getting things done. Deb always has a cheerful hello and a smile for everyone she sees. Managers of the ag branches comment that when they need cheering up, they call Debbie - her positive attitude is infectious!
Debbie and her husband, Bryan, have 4 kids. She is very close to her family, both immediate and extended, and loves to get together often. She and her husband both have Harleys and love to go riding. She likes to camp, go to movies, read, scrapbook, go to parties, you name it! Her life is full so when she gets a momnet to relax, that's nice too.
Deb, thanks for all you do. Your smile is appreciated more than you know!
