Alix is getting baptized next month and we are getting started on her big day. Here are her top three dresses. I will say her final choice was not mine but I love her choice considering I chose all the dresses in her top 6. All three are all very different but very unique and elegant. We are so excited.
So which dress do you think she picked in the end and take a guess which one I picked? Again I picked them all and love them all so you will not offend me I just wonder if other people have my same taste.
Know that I look at them again I really don't know what my favorite one is.

{Dressing Modestly}
This morning I stumbled upon this video as I was searching for my daughters baptism dress. Thought I would share. It brought back so many memories of the time I would shop for my prom and school dances. As well as serving in YW's for countless years. What an amazing YW and what a great example she is to so many others.

{It's Christmas Time In The City}
We love the Classic Song, "It's Christmas Time in the City" It amazes me how not in a million years that I would find home NYC. As a family we watched the Rockefeller Christmas Tree lighting on Television though. Michael Buble sang the song "Silver Bells." I getting tears in my eyes. Even with all the hustle and Bustle that the city brings there is something magical about it. Three days before Christmas Jon passed another Boards test, so up till then he was busy and I was sick. With the money from my dad we decided to spend it on tickets to see Kathy Rigby and spend a day in the City on Christmas Eve. That morning we woke up and started our day riding the train into the city. I have decided this is really the best way to go. Here we are on the train.
This day was so magical. It was one of those days that anything wrong could happen and we would smile through, but nothing wrong happened. It was a perfect Christmas Eve.
The Train Conductor even punched the kids tickets. It was so DARLING. What a fun start of the day.
After reaching PENN STATION we crossed the street to MACY's and ventured to the NORTH POLE to SEE SANTA.
Here's Mason waiting to go see Santa
Here is a pretty mural the girls loved as we were leaving Santa's House.
NEXT WE WENT TO SEE . . . .
WE LOVED LOVED IT! We have the DVD of Cathy Rigby that my kids love and it was really a treat to see her live. This was her last tour that she was doing out of retirement.
At the end of the play Cathy asked the audience to sing SILENT NIGHT.
SO WE SANG SILENT NIGHT
IN THE CITY
ON CHRISTMAS EVE
WITH A ROOM FULL OF PEOPLE
IT WAS AMAZING!
THE SPIRIT TOUCH MY WHOLE FAMILY.
I will never forget that moment.
Here's some food we ate in the city.
Serious BEST FRIES EVER
I never got the name where we bought them just some small buck a pizza place but when I saw these I had to grab a couple and they were so yummy.
The pizza looked delicious, but was the worst pizza I have eaten in NY.
The crust was terrible. If this was my first pizza in NY I would of thought everyone was crazy thinking NY pizza's the best!
Luckily I have eaten some great pizza so yes I still feel NY pizza's the best!!!!!
After then ventured down to Rockefeller Plaza to see the tree. Along the way we enjoyed the decorations. Well Jon, Alix and Me. The rest were asleep. Think goodness for double strollers.
I loved these string of lights!
And here it is!!
The BIG Christmas TREE!!!
It was beautiful and a wonderful sight to see.
It was nothing I imagined it to be
it was better.
However on Christmas Eve everyone else had the same idea we had and joined us : )
We wanted to get a better picture from 5th avenue, where you get the angels in the pictures but that picture will have to wait for another year.
Here's proof I was there too!
This was the first time we saw Time Square at night! It was AWESOME!
When we got home around 5pm we started our Christmas Eve party.
We had some yummy food
(non-traditions foods-it needed to be easy and simple this year)
We danced to some fun upbeat Christmas Music!
Opened some presents from Auntie Amy who gave the kids pajamas!!
Even Santa knocked on our door!
Mason was not a fan of the BIG guy! In fact I have never seen this kid so scared. I decided it was wrong for me to try! I felt so bad for the kid!
MB on the other hand still talks about Santa liking her! But who doesn't like her?
Addison still is amazed he knew who she was!
And this year I saw Alix kissing SAnta Clause
Mason does better as long as Santa is not holding him, but as you can see he is watching his back really close.
Santa brought
pillow pets for all the kids and they loved sleeping with them.
Here they are all snuggled next to the fire while Jon is reading the Christmas story.
In the morning Santa brought wonder gifts to the children. Here is one!
With me being extrememly sick in the month of December I wasn't able to do all the fun things I normally do with the kids, so YES you see these next pictures in order. We made gingerbread houses on Christmas Day! It was a fun family activity.
Here is Jon and MB. I think it won the contest!
Mine!!
Alix's was pretty pimp!
Addison ate here the whole time but used sprinkles galore and it turned out great!!!
This was our Christmas for 2011!

{Lynbrook Branch Christmas Pageant}
The Pageant was great this year! Here are some pictures. I wasn't quite 100% here yet, but my girls were so excited to be in the pageant and Jon had to work and I had to see my girls so I decided to go and only for the pageant and then return home. It was nice to get out for a change.
