Yo Gabba Gabba

Last week, we took Mason to see Yo Gabba Gabba Live with the Rubel family. I"m not sure who had more fun...the kids or us.

Mason and Ethan loved it! Mason was a little nervous at first, but he couldn't peel his eyes away from the characters.

We did a lot of clapping, singing, dancing, and so on. It was so much fun.

Here are a few pictures and a short video from our big night.

First Driving Lesson

One afternoon Mason's Nanee pulled out Drake's car for him to play in. Little did we know, his foot could reach the pedal. The first time his foot hit the pedal, it took off and it scared him a little bit, but he continue to play around with it until he was comfortable. He had a very serious look on his face, but you could he was happy so much fun. He'll be ready to jump right back in next time!

Here is a video of it:

Change

We've seen a lot of changes in Mason over the past couple of months. One of the biggest changes is his vocabulary. He is talking all the time now, and we just LOVE it. Its so fun to have a little conversations with him. His responses always make me smile. One morning while driving I was talking to him about God's creation and I asked him who made the trees and he said, "God did"....this brought a big smile on my face. :)

Another change in Mason is his imagination. He loves to play with his toys, but he especially loves his Disney pals that his Papaw gave him. The Mickey gang is officially part of our Dew Crew...Mason wants to take a bath with them, feed them, sleep with them, take them on walks, to church, and so on. I just hope one of them doesn't go missing, especially Donald Duck. That seems to his favorite for the time being. He goes around yelling, "Donald" when he goes missing. lol!

Mason had a "boo boo" on his big toe. He wasn't thrilled about putting a band-aid on it at first, but he loved the idea of putting on Donald and then he was okay with putting it on his toe.

That's all for now. I will update again soon!

Mason-18 months

We had Mason's 18 month old pictures taken. It was our last session in our baby package...it was a little sad when we finished. I can still remember our first session where he could barely hold up his head....I am so amazed how much a child will change and learn in 18 months!

The photo session was a little rough...he was SUPER BUSY. Trying to get him to sit still was challenging. Nick and I were so concerned that the photos were going to turn out rough, but it turns out they were WONDERFUL! Now I'm having a hard time picking out my favorites. Here are couple of my favorites:

Vacation in Pensacola, FL

Last week we were in Pensacola FL for vacation with Justin and Kylie, Nathaniel, Ashley, Drake, and Kaylee, Myra and Don, and Jamie. It was such a blessing to share these times with family; however, we did think about the rest of family that wasn't able to join us and wish they could have joined us.

We had a WONDERFUL time in FL. The condo we stayed at was great...it was right next to the beach. We slept with the doors open every night so we could hear the ocean. It was so relaxing. Just thinking about it makes me want to go back.

Our first night, we took a boat ride with Justin and Kylie and 10 other people. Mason was very shy at first, but when the boat started the captain turned on some music...all of a sudden Mason gets in the middle of the boat and starts dancing away! It was so funny! Everyone was getting a kick out of it. The captain even threw a dollar at him. It was a night I will always remember. It was really dark outside, but I was able to capture some of this on camera.

We took Mason to the beach last year when he was about 9 months. He did not seem to mind the sand or ocean, but he sure did this time! He wanted NOTHING to do with the sand. After two days, he finally would sit on a towel and play with it. He did LOVE the pool so we spent a lot of time there. Nick didn't mind that at all! (Nick hates the sand too!) Here is a video of Mason and Drake having a big time.

One night we went down to the broadwalk where there was a lot of music playing. Mason started dancing as soon as he heard the music. Here is another video of him dancing away.

After 6 days of being in FL, we had finally gotten Mason to walk in the sand and then on day 7 he was loving it. We all had a ball playing with him on the sand. He loved the ocean too! We could barely keep him away from it. Here is video of Mason going to check the ocean out.

I took A LOT of pictures...as always, way too many! They are all loaded on facebook.

Hope everyone has a great week!

Easter

We were in FL for Easter this year. We missed being home for Easter with our families, but we still had a good time.

Mason received two basket this year. One from his Nani and one from the Easter Bunny who visited us in FL. We also has a little Easter egg hunt at our condo for Mason. It was a fun day!

Another post coming soon about our vacation trip!

Enjoying the Spring Weather

Spring is here and we LOVE it. I love to open the windows and let the cool air blow in, see all the flowers blooming, enjoy the smell of fresh cut grass, and so on.. Its even better to see Mason enjoy it as well. Our little boy sure does love being outside! He loves to do anything outside...play ball, take a walk, swing, pick up sticks, sit on the porch, and so on.

The past weekend, we went to the park with Nathaniel and Drake. These two boys had so much fun!

This has nothing to do with Spring, but I have to share. I was cleaning out the refrigerator and apparently Mason wanted to make sure I didn't throw away the milk. Haha! Oh, how I'm so thankful for him.

Hope everyone has a great week!
