Change, Change, Change....

Lately there have been some very positive changes in our lives. Living in Provo was different to say the least.. we were lucky to be able to sublease our townhome and get out of our contract early, and found a great place in American Fork, which is where I've been wanting to live for a long time. We moved just a couple of weeks before school which was crazy and a bit stressful but wonderful. The kids always amaze me...they are absolutely fantastic and always make it work. We've had some talks and some hard times but all in all they are so strong and always thinking positive. It's always a little scary with new things and not knowing anyone or anything, but they love their new schools and the new neighborhood.. we are also a lot closer to family which has proved to be a very good thing. Another great change is that since we've moved here (last December) I've been working for an Audiologist in Provo.. I have been so blessed and grateful to even have a job in this economy but needless to say it was not a great environment and I needed to get out. My boss has been difficult to put it lightly. I have been putting in resumes and getting a rare interview here and there, but I finally was able to find a job that will be great for me, close to home, what I want to do, and they matched my pay which is a huge blessing. I started last week and I love it so far. I've also been able to get the strength to rid my life of some negative relationships and that has opened up the ability for great strong positive relationships. Life Is Good. :)

moving to the other side of the tracks....

While we've loved living in Northern Utah and being closer to family and other friends, the weather, mountains, flowers, etc... we have not loved living in Provo. We weren't in a good area and the Junior High was below par. We were able to sublease our townhome and found a perfect place in good ole' AF. It's close to schools, rec center, and everything else. In a cul-de-sac, great neighbors area, everything.. also closer to family. Who could ask for anything more?? Moving was not fun in the least. Special props to my amazing parents (again!) and my bro, bro in law and nephews and niece. Love you all so much, could not have done it without you!!! Here's to the future.. it's looking bright!!!

Spring Break 2010-- Our Mission: Fun or Bust!!!!

The kids have their spring break this week. Ryley's bff from St. George came up on the St. George shuttle last Friday (her mom let her miss 3 days of school!) and stayed until today. What a sweet girl. We just love Sazja and her family and she is just like another daughter to us. Ryley is really growing up, almost 13 now.. wow. I finally gave in and let her get her first highlights! We have had a ball so far shopping, eating, watching movies, having sleepovers, being white & nerdy and laughing a lot!! I took tomorrow and Friday off from work (gasp!) to spend more time with them.. we are headed up to Salt Lake and Park City, I have a few things up my sleeve, and of course a bit more shopping and fun, with lots of laughing. Love these kids, I am so blessed!! So, here goes the rest of Spring Break, with lots more pictures to come.... Fun or Bust!!!!! :)

Making one awesome little man's day......

So Koby's dad took him to the Nascar race in Las Vegas for the weekend. They went down to St. George and stayed and then drove to Vegas. They had a blast and Koby ate it all up... the neatest thing happened while they were there... a man randomly walked up and gave them 2 garage passes, completely free, no strings attached.. said he couldn't use them, and wanted them to have them. The passes are worth $140 each!! I just think it's so awesome when people do things like that.. paying it forward, without looking for money or something for them. And it made my little man's day. So to whoever that man is, thank you so much.. you did something that I couldn't do, and it was incredible. I hope to be able to be on my feet more and more as the days, months and years go by so that I can do little and big things here and there throughout my life.. and making other people happy.

Time flies when you're.. busy!! :)

I can't believe it's going to be February on Monday!! So glad though, I'm ready for warmer weather. So far this year is going well, work is keeping me busy, kids are doing well in their schools, and life is good in general. Looking forward to moving on at some point, but for now I am so grateful for where we are at. As I think about February I think of Valentine's Day... pink, red, hearts, love.. I am so blessed to have so many wonderful people I love and that love me. I continue to be amazed at what blessings I have been given in my life.

Being Grateful

Lately there have been a lot of good times, and some not so good.....today I thought it would be a good time to write down the many things I am grateful for, so here goes...

I AM GRATEFUL:
*that I am healthy and able
*for my 3 beautiful amazing kids
*for the gospel
*for my amazing parents and family
*for a warm place to call home
*for a job
*for my amazing and supportive friends
*for sleep
*for laughter!!
*that no matter how bad I mess up people still seem to love me.

These are just a few of many many things I am grateful for in my amazing life. Through good times and bad I have so much to be happy about. Thank you all for adding a piece to my puzzle of life. Without you it would not be complete.

All Moved In

It's hard to believe we've been here for almost a week! If I haven't mentioned it my parents are AMAZING. They are always there to help out no matter what the situation, and I simply couldn't have done it without them. As a matter of fact, the one day we packed and loaded all day long and drove up here was my dad's 65th birthday.. if that isn't love, I don't know what is. Happy Birthday Dad!!!! I tried and tried to do it all myself but the fact is it was just too much. I'm really good at underestimating things, I get that from my mom. ;) When we got here, I had lots of great help from a bunch of strong men that made the move in quick and almost easy. Thanks everyone!! We got in just in time for 2 big snow storms, 3-4 inches each day... it was a great way to throw us into this new world with white stuff.... from using 4 wheel drive (with white knuckles!) to buying sleds and boots. The kids have been in heaven and I'm lucky if I can get them inside long enough to eat dinner. All of the boxes are unpacked and while I may have a very messy garage full of stuff and many boxes under the stair closet, that just comes with the territory of moving in a smaller place.. besides, I am fully embracing my new favorite word: "simplify"
