One tired day!

One day a very determined mommy loaded her two cute little girls in the car for a trip to Idaho Falls and an endless list of errands. Two little girls became so tired, one of which nodded off in the car before we arrived home. The older one decided she couldn't make it further than the door and crashed just as she entered the house...poor, tired little one!

Birthday Girl!

My baby is ONE! What a ride the past year has been! Starting out as a pretty hard baby, crying nightly, or SCREAMING rather really wore us down for the first few months. I wonder how I have made it through some of those literally sleepless nights! But, what a blessing and such fun this adorable little girl has been to our family! We couldn't imagine life without our Bright! We sure love her!

We celebrated her birthday low-key style with grandma and grandpa Clayton and Grandma Pam.

The center of attention hanging out on the table with all of her gifts and Dora cake!
Brightyn and Grandma Clayton...

MMMMM, strawberry cake...delish! Not sure if she's actually thinking that though...what do you think?

Spoiled little girl! She got some pretty fun gifts! Grandma Pam went crazy with the clothes, Aunt Cori sent an outfit, mom and dad got her a book and a ball and her very first doll, and grandma and grandpa gave her some money with which she picked out a book! Not too shabby!

It's a baby doll!
And yes, you are cute baby girl! Happy first birthday! We love you so much!

Jamz Nationals 2011

Bayli's cheer team had the opportunity to compete at a National Competition in Las Vegas...this is an opportunity that doesn't come along too often and it was A.MAZING!!! I was blown away at the teams that were there! Soooo much fun and sooo overwhelming! Our girls worked their guts out to pull their routine together and they looked GOOD! Prior to this competiton they had taken first place in their first four competitions, inluding Grand Champion in two of the comps. They were good and they were ready to take on some tough teams from all over the West!

Some of the girls after their first morning practice.

Bayli and Hailey get ready for their first performance...lots of curls, glitter, and hairspray!

All ready!

A day out on the Vegas strip...

outside of our hotel...

The coolest thing about this competition is that they allow you to stand right up in front of the stage while your team performs...it is so awesome to see their faces! I have never been this close and it was overwhelming! I got emotional watching them and really experiencing the high-energy performance! It was super fun!

After thier performance they get to watch the replay...

Though we didn't do as well and we had hoped, lots of factors to consider in this type of competition, our girls took home third place; but more importantly, they took home determination to come back again and work even harder for that first place prize!

Two very tired, worn out girlies ready to go home!

Until next time...

Go Idaho Falls Elite Allstars!!!

My Cheer girls

Aren't they so fun? I love these two girls! It is a blast to watch them perform and this coming year is going to be double fun as Bridget begins her first year of competition cheer! Go IFEA!!

Happy Birthday Bayli Kay!!

This adorable girl entered the world of teens this year as she celebrated her 13th birthday! Yes, I am officially the mother of a TEENAGER people...wow! I find that hard to beleive since I celebrated my own birthday along with her and and still in my twenties (aren't we all?)

Anyway, a few things about this sweet girl...

She is such a determined person! She decided this year that she was going to play the violin in the school orchestra. She begged and pleaded for me to let her play. Well, I have to draw the line somewhere and was not going to let her. The girl cheers ten months out of the year and plays the piano (very well, might I add) so that is enough in my book. Well, she wouldn't give up so she talked to the orchestra teacher herself and managed to get permission to join his class, plus he gave her a violin. (Yes, I felt like a schmuck). But, this girl picked that thing up and before we knew it, she is sitting herself in third chair in front of kids who have played for years. Determined? YES!

A cheerleader she is and love it she does! She is amazing to watch on the tumble floor. This year she is pulling standing tucks like they are nothing, not to mention working on her full twist, which she is hoping to get this summer. She loves to cheer and perform and has the motivation to work her hardest and do her best. She just finished the year (we are a bit behind with the blog) and happened to be the youngest girl on the Senior team. We did keep her age a secret and hardly anybody knew that she was only 12! They all treated her like she was 14 or 15...kinda funny!

Besides her talents, she loves life. She is constantly talking about new friends at school and is such an easy-going girl. She doesn't let things bother her at all. She doesn't care what people think of her (hello, opposite of ME at that age) and she is her own person with her own personality! I love that!

She had a really fun party this year for her birthday...only problem is, I got no pictures because I was working me new video camera, so the whole thing was videoed...it was really fun to hang out with her friends and reminisce of the days when I was doing the same things! They are so fun and cute, I just love this age!

Happy 13th my sweet first-born! I love you so very much!

This picture is not very flattering, but it is who she is!
