Brightyn Brooke

Yogurt face! How can you resist this adorable little girl?? Ooooohhh, I love her!

Mr. Tucker

No words...just "Tucker"...

Salt Lake Nationals 2011

Bayli and Hailey have so much fun each year developing a duo for some of the competitions. They took first last year and were so excited that they entered again this year! They are so cute and fun to watch. They really take this thing serious. It was a bummer when they came in second but part of competing is good sportsmanship and I was so glad they showed that despite losing to a duo from their own team...

Good job girls! Proud of ya!

Winter fun at the cabin!

Spring break was a little different this year...well, we took two Spring Breaks technically! My best friend, who also happens to be my sister-in-law, Mindy invited our family to spend a long weekend with their family at their cabin in Island Park! We didn't hesitate to take our own kids out of school for two days and join them for some winter fun! (because we hadn't had enough snow...cough cough)
Mindy and I took off Thursday morning with all the kids (the hubbies would come Friday) and as soon as we hit the mountains, serious snow and slick roads! I was following Mindy and before I knew it, she was fishtailing and spinning and ended up hitting the guard rail! I had all the girls, she had all the boys (including my two) and they were pretty shook up. Luckily, everyone was okay, and she ended up being able to drive her suburban the rest of the way to the cabin.
The rest of the weekend was full of rest and relaxation! The best kind of Spring break, if ya ask me!

Brightyn enjoying some peace and quiet without the kids around to harrass her!
The boys spent many and hour on this X Box, but it was great because they kept to themselves and didn't bother the girls! We loved it!

These are the "Lollies" we call them. I think they are working on a cheer routine. Really not surprising!

Tanner and Coleman, buds!
Tucker enjoying the snow...

And what's better after a cold day in the snow? A hot tub of course!

Thanks Troy and Mindy for the fun weekend!

One tired day!

One day a very determined mommy loaded her two cute little girls in the car for a trip to Idaho Falls and an endless list of errands. Two little girls became so tired, one of which nodded off in the car before we arrived home. The older one decided she couldn't make it further than the door and crashed just as she entered the house...poor, tired little one!

Birthday Girl!

My baby is ONE! What a ride the past year has been! Starting out as a pretty hard baby, crying nightly, or SCREAMING rather really wore us down for the first few months. I wonder how I have made it through some of those literally sleepless nights! But, what a blessing and such fun this adorable little girl has been to our family! We couldn't imagine life without our Bright! We sure love her!

We celebrated her birthday low-key style with grandma and grandpa Clayton and Grandma Pam.

The center of attention hanging out on the table with all of her gifts and Dora cake!
Brightyn and Grandma Clayton...

MMMMM, strawberry cake...delish! Not sure if she's actually thinking that though...what do you think?

Spoiled little girl! She got some pretty fun gifts! Grandma Pam went crazy with the clothes, Aunt Cori sent an outfit, mom and dad got her a book and a ball and her very first doll, and grandma and grandpa gave her some money with which she picked out a book! Not too shabby!

It's a baby doll!
And yes, you are cute baby girl! Happy first birthday! We love you so much!

Jamz Nationals 2011

Bayli's cheer team had the opportunity to compete at a National Competition in Las Vegas...this is an opportunity that doesn't come along too often and it was A.MAZING!!! I was blown away at the teams that were there! Soooo much fun and sooo overwhelming! Our girls worked their guts out to pull their routine together and they looked GOOD! Prior to this competiton they had taken first place in their first four competitions, inluding Grand Champion in two of the comps. They were good and they were ready to take on some tough teams from all over the West!

Some of the girls after their first morning practice.

Bayli and Hailey get ready for their first performance...lots of curls, glitter, and hairspray!

All ready!

A day out on the Vegas strip...

outside of our hotel...

The coolest thing about this competition is that they allow you to stand right up in front of the stage while your team performs...it is so awesome to see their faces! I have never been this close and it was overwhelming! I got emotional watching them and really experiencing the high-energy performance! It was super fun!

After thier performance they get to watch the replay...

Though we didn't do as well and we had hoped, lots of factors to consider in this type of competition, our girls took home third place; but more importantly, they took home determination to come back again and work even harder for that first place prize!

Two very tired, worn out girlies ready to go home!

Until next time...

Go Idaho Falls Elite Allstars!!!

My Cheer girls

Aren't they so fun? I love these two girls! It is a blast to watch them perform and this coming year is going to be double fun as Bridget begins her first year of competition cheer! Go IFEA!!
