apple picking

I have been asking to go apple picking for a couple months. This weekend I finally got my chance! This is just a small sampling of the pictures from 1 of the 2 cameras we took. It was a well documented event!

We drove up to Ellijay to a beautiful orchard.
The apples were beautiful and the trees were so full that they were falling off the trees.

Brother concentrated very hard on finding the best apples.The apples were low enough for Brother and I to pick by ourselves!

But picking the higher ones was fun too!

Next, we headed to the petting zoo. Waving hi to the little pony. He liked to sniff me!

Brother played in the pin with the precious little puppies.

I got in the bunny pin to feel their soft fur. They were tiny! 4 are in this picture.

We had a great picnic and then headed back home. I was so excited that I finally got to go apple picking and have started to ask when we can go orange picking. Mommy and Daddy said that will be a little trickier. I am already planning a trip to Florida. I hear Pappy and Lu have lots of citrus to pick!

a fun-filled morning

This morning we decided to surprise Daddy at work with a breakfast treat and card.

Next we headed over to the carpool line at my school. We were having fun while waiting for my turn. I really like carpool! I find it so fun to be dropped off and welcomed to school by a teacher.

Mommy joined a new bible study, so Brother had his first morning in the childcare.

He was racing to get to the room!

He had a great morning and we are all looking forward to next week!

friday family fun night

Last week we started a new tradition in our house- Friday family fun night! Inspired by an episode of curious George and Daddy sleeping in a tent overnight this week, I picked a camping theme for this Friday. We got out my tent, sleeping bags and flash lights to set the camping scene. First we watch a special DVD I got to pick out.

After Brother was in bed, we roasted marshmallows on a little smore maker.

To finish off the evening Daddy read me books by flashlight in my tent before heading to our comfortable beds. Daddy said that sleeping in our beds is the beauty of camping inside!
