blueberry picking

We took advantage of a very rare 70 degree weather day and took a last minute trip to go blueberry picking with Bit and her Mommy.

This fun tractor welcomed us to the berry patch.
I need to tell you that blueberry picking is nothing like strawberry picking. The whole time we were picking I reminded Mommy over and over again that I did not like blueberry picking.

I did enjoy walking along with Bit and having a picnic though!

happy birthday daddy!

Last week we celebrated Daddy's birthday. We started his special day by decorating with balloons, streamers and a banner. We enjoyed cinnamon rolls for breakfast too!
Our "sister" Miss Alex shares the same birthday as Daddy. She came over to celebrate with cupcakes.

Brother can eat a cupcake in less than a minute now. He may grow up to be one of those speed hot dog eaters!

He does always make sure to offer a bit to us though!

big canoe

We went from one vacation to another. This time Mommy, Brother and I went up to Big Canoe for a few days. Mommy's family has been going since she was Brother's size. When we arrived I went fishing with Poppy, Pappy, Betsy, Chip and Megan. Megan did a fantastic job of capturing lots of great pictures.

This is one of the 3 fish I caught with Poppy.

I liked to hold the fish and then throw them back in the water.
I also tried to free the worms, but nobody else seemed to like that.

Fishing was the highlight of my trip, but we did a lot of other super fun things too! Mommy did not do a good of a job as Megan did of capturing it all on camera though.

We went to the pool after fishing. They have a great big kid pool with lots of water squirting fun!

I borrowed a water gun and really enjoyed squirting all of my family!

We got to see and play Mommy's cousins' kids, which I guess are some kind of cousins to me too. Here I am playing with Lil Nugget in a giant box of toys.

Trying to get a picture of all the great grandchildren was not easy...or very successful! Poppy tried his best!

We also enjoyed lots of great meals together, playing on the playground and great family time. I can't wait until next year!

And what trip to the lake would be complete without LOTS of boat rides! Brother and I are big fans and really enjoyed our daily adventures. We would head out before most people were even awake to avoid the heat and boat traffic.

I decided early in our trip that I wanted to ride the "little boat" with Daddy. I think everyone was surprised when I really went out for a little ride.

After about 3 minutes I decided I was good and ready to head back to the dock.

Brother and I watch Daddy take the wave runner out for a spin from the boat in the dock.

Daddy and Brother decided to take a dip in the lake to cool off after all of our adventures. After Brother realized you can swim in the lake, he kept trying to crawl back down the ladder!

It may surprise you to hear, but I love when Brother and I have matching outfits. I think I get that from Daddy.
