I can't believe Christmas has come and gone!!

Is it weird to anyone else that Christmas is gone?? We are heading to 2009?? It seems very strange to me!! So I hope you all had a very merry Christmas! We had a great Christmas!! Because of Andy's surgery he ended up having an extra 4 days off, which was nice! But because of the Crazy weather and bad roads on Christmas day we didn't get down to Andy's Grandma's house, we tried for an hour to get there but only ended up in Shelley, with just enough time to turn around and get back to make it for dinner at my Grandma's house, another 45 minutes!! It was actually really fun! Kyler got a great nap in & we had fun talking and trying to maneuver our way though crazy drifts! But just so you all know, Andy is doing much better!! He is still just a little bit sore, he went back to work yesterday & all seems to be fine!! Thanks for all the love and concern!! We love and appreciate all of you!!

Our fun Christmas adventure!!

Saturday night Andy came home from work complaining of a side ache, he said that he thought it was his appendix. He didn't act like he was in enough pain to be his appendix, but I just went with it, thinking it was probably nothing. We got to the E.R. at about 8:30 am on Sunday they ran some tests, they acted like it couldn't be his appendix too. But after all the test results came back he was right. They sent for a surgeon to come visit with us, when he started talking to Andy and examining him he didn't believe him either, so he went to check the chart before he would agree to anything. When he came back he told Andy that sure enough his appendix needed taken out but he couldn't get over the fact that Andy just didn't look sick enough. lol!! They scheduled the surgery and they took him back. It was probably the most hour of my life. I think i looked at the clock every minute for an hour. When the doctor came into the waiting room and said that everything was fine, I was so relieved.... I know that is was only an appy with MINIMAL risk, but it didn't matter!! They made me wait another half hour before I could see him. He did great. I don't think he knew what he was getting into when he said that he wanted to go to the E.R. They wanted him to stay over night to make sure all was well. It was a LONG night, but I was glad that I could be there with him. I wouldn't have been able to if my parents hadn't taken Ky. I didn't need to be worried sick over both my babies!! We got to come home around eleven O'clock this morning, and it was GREAT to be home. Thanks to all those who came to see us, for all the calls of concern and everyone offering to help out. Tonight Andy is doing well. Feeling much better and the pain has subsided a little, he is mostly just sore.

What we've been up to.

Here are some really cute pictures I found of what Ky has been up to the past few weeks.
This is the first time Kyler was put in Time out and he stayed... he wasn't happy about it but he stood there until his daddy said he could come out.
He has a new facination with pots... I'm not sure what that is all about!

This has to be his favorite past-time. The first thing he does when we get to grandma & grandpa's is find his grandpa and go straight for the horse!! They play on it for hours!!

Thanksgiving

Yes I know I am slow!! This thanksgiving was very busy for us. Luckily for us though andy's boss gave him Black Friday and Saturday off so we could enjoy Thanksgiving, which we did. On Wednesday I made 4 pies, the next day two more, plus packing for the weekend preparing a salad and stuffing for another Thanksgiving dinner all before 11:30!!! CRAZY I know, but Andy has a very large family, so we needed them!! My pies turned out amazing thanks to my very talented sister. And I was so tired and sick of pies not only did I not want to take a picture of them, but I didn't even want to eat any. lol!! We went to dinner at Andy's brothers house and the food was Delishious. That night we went to Island park to have another Thanksgiving with my family the next day. My brother's family came from Phonenix for Thanksgiving, which was so fun! We stayed in Island park until Saturday. Sadly though on Thursday night kyler got very sick and threw up all night... 8 times!!! It was so hard because our cabin is getting smaller every year and we were all sharing space, so having a sick child is miserable. I wanted to come home so bad but they wanted us to stay. Friday he acted so much better, but that night was the same story again. When we got home I was so excited to be there!!!

We didn't even get unpacked before we were off getting our Christmas tree. We decided to try to cut down our own tree this year. I had never done that before and thought it would be a fun tradition. Well it worked out ok. We have a HUGE beautiful, but kindof gangely tree. We don't quite have enough ornaments to put on all of it so they are scarce. But we like it. Kyler didn't get to come, since he had been sick. But maybe next year. Here are some pictures to show you of our week. Here is our beautiful tree standing probably 10 ft tall.
Kyler helping Grandpa vacuum at the cabin
We tried to get a picture of all the grandkids while they were all together, we only had one that turned out ok and it wasn't on my camera... so this is the one you get.
Emry, Brynly, Anna & Kyler
And last but not least... kissing cousins... Kyler giving anna a goodbye kiss!! We told him to give anna a kiss bye-bye so he got down on his knees and bent clear under her to give her a big smooch!! The first one was a lot better. This picture was after the fact and we got him to do it again, sorta. It was cute!

TWILIGHT!!

I still can't believe last night. It was crazy how many people went out to see the movie at midnight. Even though I was one of the crazy people. I loved the movie and I am so glad that I got to go last night. It was so fun!!! Thanks Jen & Becky for inviting me!

So Behind!

I have been trying to figure out an update on our somewhat boring life. Since it is almost Thanksgiving and my last post was for Halloween I thought I should say something. Kyler is still getting very big, he is getting very busy, nothing close to his cousin Emry, but busy for him. He loves to play with the pots and pans, I think he thinks he is going to be a drummer. I caught him in the kitchen with four pots sitting around him and lids as cymbals, he'd bang the pots with the lids. I thought it was so cute I ran to get my camera and he messed it all up and I couldn't get him to go back. : ( I'll keep trying!! Thanksgiving is next week and we are so excited, for a couple reasons. We've never done Thanksgiving with Andy's family, because his parents usually go visit Liz (Andy's sister) but this year they decided to stay home and Andy's oldest brother, Dan, just moved back home so most of the family will be in town for Thanksgiving and we are very excited. Also my very favorite big brother is coming home from Phoenix for Thanksgiving with their adorable little anna. YAY!! I'm so excited!! Other than getting ready for Thanksgiving and Christmas, their isn't much else to update.

Halloween

Isn't he the cutest Tigger you've ever seen??? So we had a very busy Halloween day! At 2:30 we went to the Trick-or-treat Street, which is a whole bunch of businesses in Idaho Falls get together and create a "street" of RV trailers and pass out candy to all the kids. We got a good load of candy and coupons, but I don't know that it was worth the hour wait in line to go through. Then after dinner we headed down to Firth to hit up a trunk or treat... we got another good load of candy!! I don't know what we are going to do with all this candy!! After that was over we went to see Grandma & Grandpa Boyd. This is where I convinced Andy to put on the adult sized Tigger constume... we had daddy & baby tigger!!! I was very impressed that he actually did it!!!! lol!! Then we hit my grandparents houses and finally at 9 we got home, and some family joined us to play games! It was such a fun, but exhausting day!! Kyler loved trick-or-treating!!! He even lifted his own bucket up for people to put the candy in... and he wouldn't let anyone else carry it!! It was very cute!!

New Haircut

So I am finally posting the before and after pictures of Kyler's most dramatic haircut. This is actually his third haircut, I knew I needed to cut it, but I thought it was so cute I just couldn't bring myself to do it! So my sister finally told me that he looked like a girl and it needed to be done! So she did it! So here they are:
BEFORE:AFTER:I had so many people asking where the curly hair came from, so I dug up this picture.

Update

I know I haven't really written a post in a really long time, I don't have any pictures on this one, but just to finally write a new post. Kyler is and actually has been walking for a little over a month now. He has just started to climb... I'm a little nervous for this one! I finally broke down and cut off Kyler's cute curly locks. I cut A LOT of hair off. My sister and others were telling me that he resembled a girl... so I guess it is for the better. I never thought I'd ever let my son's hair grow out... but those curls were so dang cute I couldn't help it! I'll have to put up before and after pictures! Kyler has also kinda said his first words, uh-oh and wow. I don't think anyone could really pick it out... BUT I CAN!! lol!
This week Kyler and I are in Montana, back were I moved from. My brother-in-law & sister-in-law are moving to Idaho Falls... YAY! So excited for them to be close... and they are very excited too!! So I am up here helping them pack for the move. I know how badly I hate moving... and my poor sister-in-law is having to pack up their entire house alone, since her husband has already been relocated to IF and he is on a business trip to Dallas. So I volunteered to come up and help her for a few days. It has been fun hanging out again, and getting everything ready for the big day... which is this Friday and Saturday!!
Sorry... we are pretty boring at the moment. I think that is all that is new with us!!

Birthday Pictures

So Yesterday's post I said that I put a candle in Ky's pancake and how mad he was that I wouldn't let him eat it until I took a picture... Here is the thrilled look on his face.My very talented sister helped me with the cake. Thanks SueAnn!! We found the idea somewhere on the internet, I couldn't even tell you where. But it was so fun making it. And I must say that it was DELICIOUS!! I love chocolate... and this recipe had lots of it!! It was called "Too much chocolate, Cake" YUMMY!! We baked it in a roundish cake pan and frosted it orange, used a mallet to give it personality and black licorice for the stripes... Have you guessed it yet... A basketball! Kyler loves basketball! He has a little hoop and two miniature basketballs... Thanks Alex!! So that was part of my inspiration!! lol!!Kyler thought is was so funny that everyone was singing to him, he giggled through the whole "Happy Birthday" song. And wanted to touch the flame on the candle... not blow it out... thanks to his cousin, Brynly we got the job done!! She is a very good helper! After seeing Kyler dig into the cake I knew that the three hours spent on making the cake was well worth it! He loved it! At least the part of it that actually made it into his mouth! And the ice cream he liked as well... until it fell on him and was making him cold. He had to take a quick bath in the sink after finishing!! He was one dirty boy!! He even had some cake in his diaper!!He was very spoiled. Thank you to everyone!! He is a very lucky boy to have so many people who love him. Here are some pictures of Ky tearing open his presents. He loved to rip the paper and unload the presents, not really paying attention to what was inside. Overall it was a very good day. Thank you to everyone! We appreciate and love all of you!!

Love at first sight!

I can't even begin to believe that my little baby is already a year old. I've been thinking about it all night, how amazing September 19, 2007 was. At 2 am my water broke (the weirdest feeling ever!) We got to the hospital and checked in about 3. They tried to get me going by walking around, I only got half way down the hall when I had to find a garbage can. They loaded me back up in a wheelchair and took me back to my room to lie down. The contractions were right on top of each other and I had a hard time remembering to breathe through them. We barely caught the anesthesiologist before the left... at 5 he came in to give me the AMAZING drugs! (I was dialated to a 4) About 20 minutes later I was asleep. Miracle drug! The nurse told me that at 8 they would come back to check me. Shortly after 8 they came to check me, panicked the nurse asked me if I had the urge to push... which I didn't. She said that I was fully dialated and told me not to push until the doctor came. Within 5 minutes there were so many nurses in the room preparing it for baby Kyler to grace the world. About 8:25 the doctor came in and I started to push. I couldn't feel a thing it was nice. I think I pushed for about 15 minutes. The cord was wrapped around Ky's neck so after he unraveled it I saw him. My beautiful baby boy, weighing 8 lbs 14 oz, measuring 22 inches long. I remember the first time I saw him I was so amazed at the love you can instantly have for someone. It was most certainly love at first sight . Being a mother is the most amazing, difficult, frusterating, and rewarding calling. I have loved every minute of it. I feel so grateful & blessed to be his mommy.

I am so excited for today, his first Birthday, even though he won't remember it. I am very excited. Already today we put candles in his pancakes. He was angry at me that I wouldn't let him eat his pancake until after I took a picture.... you can definatly tell in the picture... but I'll post all the pictures later!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY!!

Valley of the very very HOT SUN!

This past weekend my parents, my sisters & I went to Phoenix to see my brother & his cute family. It is so beautiful down there! But VERY hot! When we left On Tuesday it was 106... in Salt Lake it was around 75. It was so fun being down there, I hadn't been there since my brother got married 6 years ago! Very sad!Little Anna Elise was blessed on Sunday. I'm so glad that I got to finally meet my new little niece. She is so cute!! McKenna's mom made Anna's Beautiful blessing dress, and Jared picked out her shoes. She is such a good baby!We Flew down on Saturday and stayed until Tuesday. Kyler did so good on the plane. He was so curious about the plane and what we were doing. He loved to look out the window!! The best part was that he fell asleep as soon as the plane left the ground both times & slept the whole way! That was nice! While in Phoenix we did a little shopping, the coolest store was IKEA, I'd never been there before, Kyler found his new favorite friend.... but he was too big to bring home, so we had to leave him at the store. We also went swimming... Anna was adorable in her bathing suit! She loved the hot tub, but the cooler pool was too cold for her. Kyler started to jump off the side of the pool... if you can call it jumping! He loves the water! As long as the water doesn't get too close to his face. I also found that kyler loves to watch cartoons! He sat on the couch and watched Tom & Jerry in spanish for quite a while! He does get easily distracted though!

Two years, gone!

Today is our 2nd Anniversary! I can't believe how fast time is flying. Our first year of marriage we lived in Great Falls, MT in a very tiny basement apartment below Andy's brother's house. We worked at Tony Roma's restaurant, together (which means we were ALWAYS together). Most days we didn't have to be to work until 11 O'clock, we slept in everyday! We didn't really have many bills to pay, and nothing much to fight about, except the dishes! After only 4 months we found out that we were going to have a baby & we were so excited, I was nervous!! Just before our 1st Anniversary Andy was offered a Management job with Chili's back at home and we were SO excited to come home. We had a two weeks notice of our move. Within those two weeks we had to pack, find a place to live and move, while I was 7 1/2 months pregnant, it was a challenge. We moved to Twin Falls where Andy did his Management training & I prepared to have a baby. Three weeks after Ky was born we moved into my parents house in Idaho Falls until we found a house, or a place to live. We searched, prayed, searched and prayed some more until we were so blessed to find our beautiful home, which we love. And even AWESOME neighbors, which we also love!! This past year has been Crazy and Amazing at the same time. We have grown so much and luckily we still love each other!! I couldn't imagine being married to a better man! He is everything to me and I love him so much. Neither one of us are perfect, but we make it work together. I am very lucky to have found the man of my dreams & to have eternity to spend with him! I love you Babe!! Happy Anniversary!

Fun in the sun!

On Tuesday my grandpa took all of us up to Blacktail for the day. It was so much fun! My sister & her husband and Andy & I went on these crazy tubes! Everybody had been on them before except me. It was just a little scary, you go SOOOO fast!As we were finishing up our tube went flat... Andy decided to jump ship and join the other tube... leaving me alone in a FLAT tube going really fast I was hanging on for dear life, but I couldn't hang on long enough.... I went flying out and the other tube ran me over. It knocked the wind out of me and I laid in the water trying to catch my breath. RUDE!!!! I can't believe he abandoned me! But it was lots of fun!Kyler loves riding in the boat looking at the water and intently watching whoever is behind the boat. Andy loves to go wake boarding, but we haven't been able to go very much this year, every opportunity he gets, he takes it! Here are a few shots of him behind the boat. What a stud! And last but not least a video of his mad skills & luckily we caught one of his wrecks on video! It looks like it probably hurt! Thanks Ang for the cool pictures and catching the video!!! Love ya!
