Lagoon!!!!!!!!!

We finally went to Lagoon on Saturday. We had been telling the kids we would go all summer. I hadn't really been since 9th grade lagoon day (I went once in High school to watch my friend Suzie sing, but we didn't go on any rides) and no one else had ever been. To Jordan's surprise, it was really fun! The rest of us were expecting fun.
There are a lot more rides than the last time I was there, but all my old favorites are still going strong. Ellie was my ride buddy and went on the "big ones" with me. Well not wicked. That one looked a little to scary to her. Reagan and Maddox were content to ride the baby rides. Reagan cries when she gets that "funny feeling" in her stomach, but everyone loved the rattlesnake rapids. It was refreshing to get wet on such a hot day.
Our little monkeys all won monkeys playing the guess it game. I loved that game when I was a kid. Tess rode the train and the carousel which she loved. she was smiling the whole time. We had a great time and promised we would go back next year.

The Woods Visit

The Woods: Dana, Chelsea, Chloe, Felix and Evie

Jordan's sister, Chelsea, and her family came to stay with us this weekend. They live in North Carolina so it was a big deal. All our kids are about the same age and love each other. They had so much fun together. We went to the park and to the splash park, and on Saturday we hiked to Timpanogas Cave. It is quite the hike. It's only about 1.5 miles, but its at least an 8% grade. Every one did great. Jordan had done the Ulcer bike race that morning (111 miles) and pretty much carried Maddox the whole way. The older kids walked the whole way with out any complaining. On the way down poor little Reagan's feet were really hurting, but she kept saying she could do it, but was limping. I finally convinced her that I could safely carry her on my back. I had Tess in the baby bjorn and she wasn't sure I could handle both. I can't believe she had doubts about my toughness!
We loved hanging out with the Woods. I wish we could convince all our family in Virginia and North Carolina to move to Utah. My kids miss all their cousins!

I'm Finished and I'm Happy

I finished the last book in the Twilight series, "Breaking Dawn" , yesterday. Like the others, I couldn't put it down. I was bummed when I finished the third book that there was going to be a fourth. I just wanted the story over. I must say, I am glad there was a fourth. I am happy about how it ended, and Bella (the main character) didn't bug me in this book like she did in the third book. For the two of you out there that haven't read these books... you should.
CONFESSION: I was one of the crazies at Walmart at midnight waiting to get my hands on a copy of this book. Thanks Hillary and Becca (and my new friend Carol) for being crazy with me.
ONE MORE CONFESSION: This was the scene in my bedroom for two days while I read the book. Jordan finally folded it and put most of it away.

Reagan the Kindergartner

My litte Ray-Ray started Kindergarten on Tuesday. She was so excited and cute. She has afternoon kindergarten, but she was ready to go all morning, backpack on and everything. Her teacher is Mrs. Zealey. I am trying to have an open mind about her. She's the only teacher I've heard anything bad about. Reagan has one of her best friends, Gabbi, in her class. She is glad to have Gabbi there, but she always makes friends easily. Her teacher already likes her and told me she is very bright. That's my girl! She is so excited to have school EVERYDAY. I will miss her at home. She is such a big help with Maddox and Tess. I will actually have to play with Maddox now.

Reagan and Gabbi waiting to go into school for the first time. Excited but nervous. (Notice Reagans nervous smile in both pictures)
