10 Years Ago Today

Ten years of you and me and all these kids! - Together
we make a pretty good team.  Thank you for all you are
and will become. Thank you for loving me sweetly.
You are mine, and I am yours - today, and everyday, forever!
Happy Anniversary Seth!  I love yur guts!

We went up to Jackson for the day. We just poked around
in all the shops, had a fancy dinner and then went to Kmart
to stock up on all those things that aren't so easy to come by
normally.  Not too exciting for the 10 year, but we're going
tropical later when we are neck deep in snow and could use a break.

So I had been growing my hair out for a while - hoping
someday to get a messy loose perm or something. This
was the longest it had been since high school. But when
the hair lady said it was too long for curls and the weight
of my hair would drag it down, it just had to go. This was
fine - I have always gone back and forth having both long
and short. The truth is, it always ends up in a ponytail
anyways because I am a bit lazy when it comes to fooling
with myself.  If it wasn't tied up, it had peanut butter,
boogers, or spit up in it.  The kids were sick of being
"the lucky winner" when they found a piece in their dinner
or a wad between their toes.  Seth too was tired of being
the vacuum cleaner repair man.  I think he's just jealous!

At first I wasn't sure if I liked it, but now I wonder why
I didn't do it sooner. So low maintenance. I probably
should have done it in the spring for the warm weather,
because now I am definitely going to need that scarf, Frosty!

I had been telling everybody I got 12 inches off, but when I
got my measuring tape out it was actually 16-19 depending
on the layer! Yikes.

The girls and I went to visit my dear friend Jen in Denver.
We decided Camille needed a cut too....

Our new do's

Ben was the one who really needed the haircut,
I just didn't want to.  Long hair is only cute on
little boys, and I won't allow it when he gets
older, so I was trying to drag it out as long as possible.
I think he had been begging me several times a day for
a month or so. He was pretty mad when I made myself
an appointment and then Camille came home with hers
cut.  We almost made it to school pictures, but the week
before was all he could endure. FINE Ben!
Awe - Look how handsome!
