Lando:
He was recovering from call week & golf weekend all week. Only to then be on call again and go skiing. So I tried to let him sleep a lot on Saturday and he slept in til 9 on Sunday. He almost got sick this week too and then told himself he wasn't getting sick, worked out, took a shower and got over it. We went skiing with the Dittos on Friday which was a blast and then he worked all night. BUT because we got our security system, I slept like a baby. Which was nice. My favorite moment of the week with Lando, other than date night, was when Annie & Kelly came over Saturday morning to grab Lincoln and Landon heard them. So he got up to hang out. He had only been asleep for 2 hours and was ready for anything.
Becs:
I did that no heat hair curl thing with my hair and loved it. So easy and nice. I tried a lot of new recipes this week and Butter Chicken was everyones favorite. I had a really nice scripture study with a few other christian ladies on my street. I loved talking about the differences between the four gospels. I went and got my jaw checked out and the Oral Surgeon basically told me i'm too stressed and that is why my jaw hurts. Which is what my back surgeon told me too. So I think the universe is trying to tell me something. I took an hour bath on Saturday so i'm working on it. I did lots of visits this week. Katalyn & Casey came over on Friday night with me and that was a blast. The think Jax looks just like me. And went to Lindi's parasport auction, which was amazing! I led the discussion at church and then we had a family day at home. In fact I actually cancelled plans with some friends so that it could just be our little family. My life is full of wonderful boys, an amazing husband, and lovely humans. My mom did end up in the hospital this week and she seems okay. I haven't dwelt on it mostly because I think she'll be okay. But also because, I can't lose my mom. So I refuse to think about it.
Jaxson:
His parent teacher conferences were this week. His teacher raved about him and also said he should skip a grade. Which i'm adamantly opposed to. I can't have him grow up any faster than he already is. But i'm leaving it in his court. I think he's old enough to make this decision. He is the cutest little basketball player at deacons ball. He really helps all those boys have confidence. And he is not a ball hog at all. He loves young mens. He loves passing the sacrament. He loves his family. He is tender hearted and cries a lot when things don't go as he hoped or planned or wanted.
Tyler:
His teacher raved about him too. Said that he and his bestie Owen were the role model in their class. He said Ty is respectful and kind and a great reader and she loves having him in her class. Tyler has been reading the New Testament all on his own. In fact tonight Landon and I were at a Ma & Pa training and Ty was bummed because he couldn't find his scriptures to read. I don't know how much he is getting out of it, but he certainly feels something. He also loves playing with Owen. Oh and I hear him lots of mornings, especially on the weekend playing make believe with Luke and Brigs. He is excellent at that when he wants to be.
Luke:
I love how cuddly Luke is. And when Landon is on call, I always have him sleep in my room. Though he ends up there most nights anyway. Luke has lots of emotions and I constantly feel like I don't spend enough time with him. I actually think this week i'm going to have him miss school and I'm going to take him to the museum because I think he'd really love it. He plays doggy with brigs a lot. And he loves puzzles. And he can sing the New Testament Song. I love his little music heart.
Brigs:
Gosh he is darling!!!! SO SO SO dang cute. And he has gotten better at us leaving him this week. He let us leave him with a little girl for 10 hours on Friday and for date night on Saturday. I think I worry about Brigs eating the most. Sometimes he just eats like crap. And I just don't have the mental capacity anymore to stop that. I get why parents are so much easy on their younger kiddos. I love reading to Brigs lately and he loves it too. We just need to get him to stop screaming, bitting and pinching. BUT he is a pro pottier. He only had one accident this week and it was at the very moment that my mom told me she was going to the hospital. So I had to go really quick. And I didn't really process it. And now my family is giving me a hard time for focusing on brigs poppy bum over her "heart attack". Hahaha. Oh man. Life is busy sometimes!
ANYWAY. There it is. Life is wonderful.
Also, This is what I text Landon in regards to my leading the discussion at church. He wasn't going to be there and I just wanted my thoughts down somewhere:
I said to landon: “I don’t think my testimony has been strengthened at all.”
He said: “Really. Is there any particular part of your testimony that was strengthened.”
So I reviewed my list that I had worked on the last 3 months. And these are the parts of my testimony, that I feel like are stronger then they were 92 days ago:
1: I know there is a God who listens to my prayers
2: Recording and reviewing impressions really helps me see how my relationship with Heaven is a daily occurrence
3: The Holy Ghost is real and is trying to help me in life and with my responsibilities
4: God sends family and friends to lift us in our struggles
5: God sees our efforts
6: Fasting is a really tangible way to bring Heaven closer
7: The sacrifice of going to the temple, is far less than the blessings and peace that comes through going to the temple. There is some magic that happens in my life, when I attend the temple
And of course landon text back:
8: Landon is usually right.
