Young Womens Camp!!!

I was lucky enough to go to young womens camp this week. I had a BLAST! It was so fulfilling and so much work(my feet and hands have never hurt so bad) and I was so uplifted. Young Womens Camp (for those of you who don't know) is a week long camp for girls 12-18. Most girls are mormons, but vistors are always welcome. It is a camp that teaches girls skills, values, hard work, and gives them more desire to follow the path of Christ.

I was a cook. We cooked for 120 people breakfast lunch and dinner. It was fun to remember that I can do more than take care of Jax day in and day out.

Seriously, a part of me wants to go back.

Landon worked hard at home + watched season 1 of prison break :). I think he gained a greater appreciation of what I do every day, and I gained a greater apprciation of what he does.

I got home Saturday afternoon and decorated for a couple of my friends baby shower.

It was a good week. The church is true! Familes are forever!

Til next week :)

Its was INSANE how much food we bought. These pictures represent 1/4 of what we got. Basically a day)

Thanks Heather and Tiff for watching Jax. Heather took Jax to the golf course for her sons camp :)

Me and Rima were the cooks. That much meat was kind of gross to me :)

Crazy, Hazy, Sleepless Party

We had quite a house full this week. Scott was here all week and my nephews were here for half the week. Its been a crazy hazy sleepless party.

LANDON
was able to go golfing a couple of times. He also did very little studying which I liked :). So did all the boys. And he probably liked too.

BECCA
I cut my hair over 5 inches. My hair was so long. Its still long. We went to the library and the park with the Hobsons and then had a fun pool party on Friday. I was called into Young Womens!!!!!! (I'm sooooooooooooooooo excited :)!)

JAXSON
Did great in nursery. He is making the cutest animal noises. I need to record it. He likes to rock out with daddy. He can get in and out of his car seat by himself. He is a pretty sensitive kid. One night this week I was crying and he came up to me, looked me in the eye, then kissed my cheek and gave me a hug. Maybe a coincidence, but I don't think so. I think one of his gifts will be sensitivity. He gets so excited about balls, flowers, food, going outside, going to the park, playing with little kids, finding sticks, seeing planes, learning about animals, seeing daddy come home. If I were to describe Jaxson in three words right now, they would be: Sensitive, Independent, and Excited. Oh and jaxson LOVES to wrestle!

WE
Had a BBQ with the Haslams, watched the NBA finals (boo!) with the hobsons, had dinner with my family this weekend, and went to the Navarro's for dinner tonight. We stayed up way to late, every. single. night. We had a fun week.
Off to girls camp I go. Happy Week :)

Kings for an Hour

Its been a pretty chill week.

Monday we decided to do a little spring (summer)  cleaning. One of the nicest things about having a smaller apartment is that it only takes 8 hours to deep clean your entire place. I love when every nook and cranney is clean. :)

For fathers day (technically thursday) we decided it was time to buy a King bed. So we spent most the day shopping. We purchased a bed, decided that wasn't smart financially, and 40 minutes later we called Mattress World and asked if they would cancel our order. So alas. We are still just queens.

Other than that, I went to book club. Fun! We went to PBS Kids park day and relearned that we don't like big crowds and lines. So we walked the canal, got some ice cream, and road the people mover. On the way home we got stuck in traffic due to a pretty big fire

Lastly, my little brother scotty is in town. So far, so good. Last night we bought a puzzle. Today we finished it. Scott also took Jax to nursery and then left. Jax did great. We had a great fathers day dinner. And now we are watching the NBA finals. My nephew Josh is here. I set up a pretty awesome bed for him if I do say so myself, take a look. :)

Happy Week!!

Quick cleaning break

Organizing the blanket closet

He wanted to meet them, but this was as close as he'd get

LOVED his cookie monster balloon

Dancing on the People Mover. Fitting right?
