Hi Zhen Yao and Xing Yao,

I have been thinking about it for the past few days. To be honest, I am very disappointed with the UV executive team for what has been going on for the publication this time.

It has been week 4 into the semester, and due to a lot of factors, the UV team is however (sadly), unable to gauge our launch date for the magazine. I have agreed to help out in this publication to oversee and to mentor the incoming publication committee, out of goodwill. But to my own surprise, I find myself ‘mentoring’ myself (if you have not realize).

I understand the issue about Senthil has came a huge blow to all of us, no one would have expected that to happen. That being said, personally I feel that more could have been done to firm up the contingency and continuity from the executive team to support the publication team.  I find that this communication and sense of urgency for the contingency, however, has been lacking. It will be illogical to have only Senthil to run the show for magazine alone, after this transition period when Sahimi and I are no longer helping out, he would have needed a team.

The issue about Senthil is just one episode, there are other issues that I am saddened in the way things were being managed.

After the previous batch of UniVantage, UV has been split into two departments – executing and publications team. Despite that, communication is still the key. And this communication should be two way, it should not have been a one sided communication channel from publications to the executive team, from Sahimi to you guys. But sad to say, this channel has been lacking too. I could not sense any support here. I was particularly frustrated in the lack of support for even the simpler tasks like collating logos and updating the status of progress, frequent promptings are needed and the way these tasks were handled were not professional at all, not say the duration taken to get these tasks completed.

Personally I think there should an end to this delay, it is completely irrational for me to continue on to help out with the publication into the semester.

Initially, my stand was to be involved with the magazine till week 4, but looking at the magazine progress, my stand will obviously be redundant.

So this email is to inform you that, I’ve decided to continue the magazine till Week 6 Wednesday (9 Feb), and that is the maximum I can contribute out of goodwill. After that, I will not be willing to be involved in anything related to the UV publications. In addition to that, I will have limited connection during the CNY period as I will be in Malaysia.

I understand by making my stand now it will not reflect well on my part, but this is the most I can help the UniVantage team, and as someone who had been in the committee before, I feel that it is essential for your team to learn how to crisis manage, seniors won’t always be there to help you.

I hope you guys can understand my stand. Thanks.

Dear Dory,

After a month of preparation over the holidays, today marks the final day for the preparation for L’Oreal’s Brandstorm challenge. Yay! So happy!

Here’s Suh’s team – Beau Reve. It means beautiful dream in French.

Speaking of our team, Suh really had so much fun trying to enlarge Yikka’s and her eyes and trimming all of our hair (which were all very messy with stray strands flying here and there). Practically photoshop-combed all our hair. haha. Its very neat now on the photo right. haha =)

But anyways, no matter what will the results be, it has been a fun and enjoyable time working with my two lovely friends – who forever have a pocket full of jokes, doing silly things like checking out hamster photos and camwhoring and digressing with gossips, but yet still get things done. Not to say that suh does not hope we will not get selected. After so much effort being put in, obviously, Suh really hopes that we can get into the semi-finals and best, WIN this competition to go PARIS (OH MY TIAN) like how a beautiful dream should be – purrfect.

We were supposed to analyze the L’Oreal Professional Homme range which was a range specially for males, hence our group photo posing as mafia-like yet with a tinge of sweet demure girls (LOL!) kind of feel, and also handsome guy on the cover page.

Speaking of handsome guys, there’s a really really cute Korean guy in one of Suh’s class this semester! Can’t help but to keep turning her head towards the guy’s direction during class, though its shessshh cannot concentrate on what the prof’s saying and what I’m supposed to say for class part but the guy’s so un-resistible! He looks totally like a cutie pie! Small eyes, high nose, small mouth, slim face, masculine body and a killer smile! AWWWW MELTS. Suh is definitely going to not miss any marketing class this semester, confirm! Korean guy~~~ LOL!

Okay, but anyways, dory, wish us luck kay! Will go visit GYM and ask her to bo bi us too.

Happy New Year! (well not exactly, but its only the 4th day out of the 365 days, so you get the gist will do) =)

School’s officially starting in less than 8 hours time. Is suh looking forward to it? How should I put it…Hmm both looking forward and not - It’s a good thing that Suh will be having things to do (academics) but thinking about the 15 weeks of intensive “grilling” just does not make the experience as enticing as it seems to be. Hmm =S

But still, 1 month worth of  holidays. Suh has rested enough.

So I guess there’s no reason to not give it my best shot again this semester, right? (“YEP!”)

Resolutions? I guess will be happiness for the people dearest to her.  And for lady luck to shine on them too. You know who you are. Hahaha =)
