Birds Of A Feather

dont have any magnolia birds so went for a teeny tiny one i do have and made it into a thought bubble, the feather is so bright and the colours went together with the paper i thought

Friday Sketchers
quite suprised how this card went, set out with no real ideas then it just seemed to all fall into place. again using my odds & ends bits. will probably add a peel off greeting when i use the card.
the card looks a little lighter on the left due to the scanner not closing properly as the build up of layers and silicone glue

friends new baby part 2

here is the name/word book i made too, using the same card as the exploding box
have put some photo mats on and a few embelishments but didnt want to make it too fussy for them. used cb swiss dots to emboss the letters. there is plenty of room on the back of the pages for the parents to add info or more photos if they wish. also used my bind it all for the first time, have wanted one for a while but now i have decided i will get my use out of it.
the book does actually line up but in the photos it looks a tad out of line

friends new baby

made the basic exploding box about a month ago at a friends craft day then finished it off at home adding the inner box, stamping & embelishments.
i girl i used to work with was due this month and wanted a girl, so i made it with her in mind.
the baby was born on 18th and her name is lillie, so all worked out ok and didn't have to make a blue box. i had fun making this using up lots of itty bits from mags and getting to use a new tilda stamp, well it was new when i made the box.

have made a word book too its 'drying' at the mo so hopefully tomorrow i will take some piccies and add that on here too.

after having a bit of a tidy up in my craft space i came across lots of 'bits' which had come with mags so i am on a mission to use them up as i have cancelled my subscription to the said mag.

it is my birthday in 2 weeks - so to celebrate the last time I can say on my birthday I am 30 something, I am offering this candy.
There is a pack of Dovecraft stamps, a Papermania metal Birthday, ribbons, large tags, red and white roses and some 6x6 and 8x8 papers, and some handmade papers. I will also put in some die cut flowers and stamped images.
My beautiful daughters helped me choose this candy (so it is a bit colour clashing!!), so on Sunday 1st June (the day after my birthday) Ellie will draw a 1 lucky person's name out of the hat.

the card on the left looks very dark but it is bright yellow and dark brown so it looks better in real life

ohh i do love b&w, the glitter glue is showing up as blue on the scan but it is not on the card, just a silvery glitter glue

missed the challenge last week but wanted to still have a go i like this stamp just dont use it enough
coloured in with pencils, added some handmade background paper
with floral embelisments

used a brass mandala stencil for this card
the pink layers are dry embossed, the lilac layer is stitched then 3d and mounted onto square card wasn't too happy with the floral colours but they were the nearest i had
