swap cards
4 - butterfly swap
used two matching papers same design one light one dark so able to lay top one to match bottom one.
this is rather a 'busy' card for me but i like the result.
love how tilda is 'standing' on the leaves!
entering this card in The Pixie Cottage challenge
whoooo the above card made it to the top three!
3 - group sketch swap
used a lot of oddments on this one
this was the best ribbon i had in to go with the other colours i was using
but a denser ribbon would have been better though the overall result isn't too bad
this year i want to use what i have in and see how long i can go before i buy anything (though i say it each year!)
swap cards
first cards of the year, not been doing much crafting since xmas. lost my mojo, too much other stuff affecting it.
had a bit of a tidy in my craft room yesterday and have now sorted out some of febs swaps/birthday cards from my spares box.
2. dry emossed swap card
the embossing is done on light grey vellum though it looks much darker in the picture
1. oriental swap card
used a new martha stewart border punch

at last some good news for us
hubby had to go in hospital on wednesday for an anigiogram and they managed to unblock the artery they could not do last time in august.
he came home the next morning and has been painfree since :)
been taking it easy and resting though i had to tell him off for trying to run before he can walk lol,
fingers crossed he continues to be ok

293 - 295 stitched
Not done much cardmaking since mid august as hubby has been at home since his heart attack.
My days are spent with him. We are waiting for his next angiogram/angoplasty.
This is now set for begining of January after his December appointment was cancelled due to no beds as they are being used for emergencies.
He has been getting worse over the past weeks and is able to do less and less, just going to the bathroom can knock him out and bring on angina pains.
The mood of our home over the last few months has been quite low and hard for us to live with but there have been brighter times such as getting a puppy Alfie who has been hard work (but getting there with him) and the birth of our first grandchild Daisy on the 14th of December who we are looking forward to meeting hopefully in the New Year (they live down south and we live in the north). Hubby being ill has stopped us traveling for now, our daughter is aiming for a visit in January all being well.
I have made something for a '12 days of christmas' gift swap on one of the groups I am in. I took some photos but the camera was playing up and I was mailing out to a deadline. when I saw the photos later I was dissapointed as they were rather dark, anyway will add them after xmas day when my partner will have opened her gift.
The cards below were in my spares box but I hadn't scanned them, so here they are.
I am only 5 off the pile I stitched so long ago. I do seem to go in phases of using them then not bothering with them for a while.
I would like to 'throw' the last 5 together before the New Year then I can start with a clean slate.

Brrrrr!!! & 292 stitched
173 -
challenges this card is for
sketch & stash - sketch
pollycraft - stitching
scrappy frog - stitching
totally tilda - stitching
chose a clean simple sketch for this card as the paper & stitching busy it up enough, really like the sketch less is more
copics, couldnt get a good pink match with the paper but the threads have a pink/red so used a red instead of pink
added stickles to wings
all papers from stash
used this card for a swap
