Behind Scene

What we see May not be What We see..

I always believed that for everything that took place has it's very own reason. Be it good or BAD. What we see is good may not be exactly good and what is bad may not be exactly bad.

It reminds me of a story...and is like something like this:-
Long Long ago, there lives a Prince..
He was very smart looking...
One day he finger got cut off and was very sad about it.
Everyone was sad to hear the news too and thought is such a pity...

BUT.. There was a day he was Kidnapped..
When the Kidnapper saw that he has missing finger and thought that is not worth the price as he is a handicapped..and he let him off...

Thus..initally everyone see it a very bad thing that he lost his finger but then there maybe a reason behind. he could have lost his life if not bcos of his finger..

**I think i may remember the story wrongly..but the morale is there. i will go find out the correct version and publish again accordingly..

Below is another story that i think share the sample morale..

THIS IS JUST IN

This little pearl was just sent to me by email. Something to make you appreciate where you are at this particular moment.

After Sept. 11th, one company invited remaining members of other companies who had been decimated by the attack on the Twin Towers to share their available office space.

At a morning meeting, the head of security told stories of why these people were alive...... and they all were about the simple things of that morning...

As you might know, the head of the company got in late that day because his son started kindergarten.

Another fellow was alive because it was his turn to bring donuts.

One woman was late because her alarm clock didn't go off in time.

One was late because of being stuck on the NJ Turnpike because of an auto accident.

One of them missed his bus.

One spilled food on her clothes and had to take time to change.

One's car wouldn't start.

One went back to answer the telephone.

One had a child that dawdled and didn't get ready as soon as he should have.

One couldn't get a taxi.

The one that struck me was the man who put on a new pair of shoes that morning, took the various means to get to work but before he got there, he developed a blister on his foot. He stopped at a drugstore to buy a Band-Aid.
That is why he is alive today.

Now when I am stuck in traffic, miss an elevator, turn back to answer a ringing telephone ... all the little things that annoy me. I think to myself, this is exactly where God wants me to be at this very moment.

Next time your morning seems to be going wrong, the children are slow getting dressed, you can't seem to find the car keys, you hit every traffic light, don't get mad or frustrated; God is at work watching over you.

May God continue to bless you with all those annoying little things and may you remember their possible purpose.

Pass this on to someone else, if you'd like. There is NO LUCK attached. If you delete this, it's okay: God's Love Is Not Dependent on E-Mail.

Blogging@Work

Look! It's 4:35pm and Opal shld be at work but she is BLOGGING!!!
Got this shot while i was testing the camera and I like this pic very much.
Sunflower: It brightens up my day and will clear my cloudy mood when i see the smiling face.
So please smile when u see me! and i will smile back! this makes the world a more friendly place to live in...

Success is as dangerous as failure. Hope is as hollow as fear.

What does it mean that success is as dangerous as failure? Whether you go up the ladder or down it, your position is shaky.
When you stand with your two feet on the ground, you will always keep your balance.

What does it mean that hope is as hollow as fear? Hope and fear are both phantoms that arise from thinking of the self. When we don't see the self as self, what do we have to fear?

See the world as your self. Have faith in the way things are. Love the world as your self; then you can care for all things.

Empty your mind of all thoughts.
Let your heart be at peace. Watch the turmoil of beings, but contemplate their return.

Each separate being in the universe returns to the common source. Returning to the source is serenity.

If you don't realize the source, you stumble in confusion and sorrow. When you realize where you come from, you naturally become tolerant, disinterested, amused, kindhearted as a grandmother, dignified as a king. Immersed in the wonder of the Tao, you can deal with whatever life brings you, and when death comes, you are ready. The great Tao flows everywhere

If you realize that all things change, there is nothing you will try to hold on to. If you aren't afraid of dying, there is nothing you can't achieve.

Trying to control the future is like trying to take the master carpenter's place. When you handle the master carpenter's tools, chances are that you'll cut your hand.

This Old Man

Inspiring Selfless Story

One day an old man boarded a bus.
As he was going up the steps, one of his shoes slipped off.
The door closed and the bus moved off so he was unable to retrieve it.
The old man calmly took off his other shoe and threw it out of the window.
A young man on the bus saw what happened, and could not help going up to the old man and asked, "I noticed what you did sir. Why did you throw out your other shoe?"
The old man promptly replied, "So that whoever finds them will be able to use them."

The old man in the story understood the fundamental philosophy: do not hold on to something simply for the sake of possessing it or because you do not wish others to have it.
We lose things all the time. The loss may seem to us grievous and unjust initially,
but loss only happens so that positive changes can occur in our lives.
We should not always assume that losing something is bad, because if things do not shift, we'll never become better people or experience better things.
That's not to say of course that we only lose "bad" things; it simply means that in order for us to mature emotionally and spiritually, and for us to contribute to the world, the
interchange between loss and gain is necessary.

Like the old man in the story, we have to learn to let go.
The world had decided that it was time for the old man to lose his shoe.
Maybe this happened to add momentum to a series of events leading to a better pair of shoes for the old man. Maybe the search for another pair of shoes would lead the old man to a great benefactor. Maybe the world decided that someone else needed the shoes more.

Whatever the reason, we can't avoid losing things. The old man understood this. One of his shoes had gone out of his reach. The remaining shoe would not have been much help to him, but it would be a cherished gift to a homeless person desperately in need of protection from the ground. Hoarding possessions does nothing to make us or the world better. We all have to decide constantly if some things or people have run their course in our lives or would be better off with others. We then have to muster the courage to give them away.
DO NOT DWELL UPON THE PAST.. LOOK FORWARD AND MOVE!

As the Sunset here...

Is The Begin of A New Day..

It may be the sun setting here but the sun is also rising at the other end of the world..
Many times we tend to only pay attention to what we can see but not realising things that can happening which we don't see...

Attended a wake and I've got alot of thoughts..
I was thinking..
Did we spend enough time with our loves ones..?
Did we spend time listening..?
Did we spend time sharing..?
Did we ....
Did we....???

Things happened fast and unpredicted..
Today we may be having lunch or fun together,
But we do not know what will happen later..
This point we maybe talking happily...who noes the next sec one of us will just die?

When someone passed away, will they be at the wake?
My answer is YES! A BIG YES!
So please do not quarrel or talk things not good about the person, cos he or she will know and will be SAD to hear that too!

This is a postitive entry! Please remember to spend more time with your close ones and do not argue with them cos you may regret not spending more time with them and y argue over a small matter!!!

TUES Morning Thoughts

As a second passed..
As a minute passed...
As an hour passed....
As a day passed.....
and we grew day by day...lived months after months...
what are we really achieving...
Are things we worked for eternal? We worked everyday and trying our very hard to achieve our very own goal. But PAUSED.. spend some precious time and really come to think about it, what is a thing that is eternal and that is worth our effort to spend our precious time on it and not wasting our breathe here now.

MONEY,ASSETS,CAREER...etc
Some maybe working very hard for money...
Some maybe working very hard to buy a house, a car, club membership..etc
Some maybe working very hard for career OR EVEN stepping on your dearest friends or colleague who also have to work to live, just to climb to the top ladder...

BUT HEY! on the day when we have to leave this world as some belived that we are just a visitor here....
CAN WE BRING ALONG OUR ASSETS/MONEY?
YOU MAY BE A CEO, DIRECTOR, GM, MANAGER, EXECUTIVE OR A CLEANER,
BUT WHEN U ARE PRONOUNCEd DEAD, WHAT WILL YOU BE?

Imagine, If you were given a chance to be sick and you know you got no much time left, what you wish for? Would it be MONEY,ASSETS,CAREER...etc?

Come to think about it.. We were given a chance to live... We are here with a mission OR We are really just a visitor here with a Social Visit Pass from Above?

15 September 2005

Going back to Singapore today and will definitely miss Taipei. I will have to go back to my normal routine work and school.
We took Free Go Bus to the airport around one thirty for 135NT per pax. The bus tour us around taipei and reached the airport @ abt 2pm.
And now i'm writing the blog on the plane Jetstar 3K522 with my fujitsu laptop 6120... Singapore I'm back..

I love taiwan .. I love the People here.. they are 彬彬有禮 polite and friendly... and the customer service is BANG!! EXCELLENT!!! kids here are well trained too... EVERY THING IS GOOD!!!
Things i See in Taiwan which we don't get to see in Singapore...

Other than places of interest is different (of course).. the traffic is in another direction and way the people here lives are different too!!!

1. At the Train Station, everyone will take their initiative to keep right and the left lane will be "overtaking"...
2. At the Train Station, everyone will queue in the line to wait for train boarding and will let passenger alight first!!..unlike Singapore where everyone will squeeze all the way in.
3. And the customer service is Taiwan is way far better than us. They were polite. In the night market, we won't get scolded for not buying. and they will ensure we pay for the value. 服務周到, 笑臉迎人 .. serve with a smile.. customer will buy and feel happy
4. Teenagers here are well dressed and discipline unlike what i see in our country.
5. At the Train Station, there is even VOLUTEERS. They will make sure things is inorder and assist us (Tourist). What we don't see in Singapore.
6. The pace here is just right..not too fast..not too slow...
7. Safety was not a concern. at least i feel safe when i'm there and i'm taking public transport everyday... When is late, there is even security petrol at the train platform.

and more more more.... you will know when u by chance visit taiwan. When i was here i was so impressed by this place and think that we (singapore) still have many rooms for improvements..
I will be back to taiwan again and will bring my grandma along...

Acknowledgement:
Thanks Laurie for bringing us around and din even charged us a single cent and you even have to fork money to bring us around. ** Laurie has to spend money buy Swimming Costume @ S$40 just to bring us to hotspring and not to disappoint us. You bring us to good places, good foods and many many...
If Laurie din bring us around, i doubt we can cover so many places. We not only covered the places we want to go but Laurie brought us to unexpected nice places such as Bi Tan… xiao you keng… etc
many many thanks to you and 503 always... hope to see you again soon..be it Taiwan or Singapore or anywhere... All the best to you and good luck for your studies.

||I'm uploading my photos.. shld be ready soon||
