Creation Museum

There were a lot of things to see at the museum that we didn't get pictures of.  They had exhibits narrating the story of creation all the way through the story of the tower of babel, including the world wide flood.

These are the plans for the finished Ark Encounter.  As of now, they only have the ark (mostly) finished.

One of the historical displays we got to see.  There were lots more talking about the history leading up to the flood, the preparations for the flood, the estimated mechanics of the ark, and scientific evidence that the flood really did happen!  This one is explaining the proximity of the mountains compared to the flood.

The "Tee Game"

We played a new pool game in Michigan with a wooden golf tee.  Here are the basic guidelines for the game:
Step 1: Plant the tee at the bottom of the pool (preferably in the center).
Step 2: Have everybody line up on the sidelines and wait for the tee to surface (NO GOGGLES ALLOWED!).
Step 3: When you see the tee, jump in and grab it before anyone else!  If you jump in too soon, you're stuck there until you or somebody else finds the tee.
Step 4: If you find the tee, stick it between you're teeth before you surface.  Whoever finds the tee is the next one to plant the tee for the next game.
Step 5: If you're not the one who finds the tee, and you have not yet entered the pool, redeem  yourself via cannon-ball.

Date night (Day 34)

Dad, Mom, Uncle D, and Aunt B rode motorcycles to dinner while the kids stayed home to watch the Peanuts movie.

Cedar Point (Day 30)

We left at 5:30 am to get to Cedar Point, so  we had a few tired kids.

This is the newest roller coaster at Cedar Point...

and this is us in the 2 hour line.

One of the best family rides there was definitely the bumper cars.

It's hard to see but M is giving us a thumbs up.

We had got in line for the Raptor right before the masses.

Cousin E was really excited for the Snoopy section of the park. This is the Woodstock Express.

Of course, it did rain....We could see and hear the enormous curtain of rain as it sped toward us and then, chaos.

Fortunately, we were able to squeeze under a covered picnic area. R was on the very edge.

And this, my friends, is the Top Thrill Dragster. I suggest looking up the video on youtube.

E had an awesome time on the carousel. I had fun too... but why he rode with his legs like that is unknown.

One of the rides in the kiddy land was helicopters and R agreed to go with E...

What she didn't know was that there was a height restriction.
She was too tall, so E flew the helicopter all by himself.

M found his soul mate. He got all giddy every time we spoke about riding Gate Keeper.

4th of July (Day 28)

Uncle D took us to see his hanger and we got to sit in his choppers...

and an unlocked jet.

The coolest chopper was, hands down, the black hawk.

We also got to hold some of his guns.

Our cousins have a pool so we swam before we watched fireworks.

One of the neighbors put on a fireworks show. It was incredible and we got great seats.
The only problem was it practically rained cardboard.
