The STITCHES club

J joined the "stitches on the face" club.  (he's our last boy to join)  He head planted into the couch...(I would think that would be one of the safest places in our house to plant your head???)  He did a great job at the hospital and was pretty proud to show them off at school the next day.

I can't find pics of M's stitches...you can barely see his little scar here - this is Dec 2007.

SUMMER FUN 2012

We got to go to Cave of the Winds for free....they were doing a promo video for school field trips and needed kids for their video.  We had a great time.  This is the ropes course.  Dad, M and H are in this picture.

We hiked the Crags and Zay made it all the way to the top by himself!

Some good backyard fun playing Indians.

At the Beach July 2012

The kids (and their parents, too!) learned to surf last summer.  It was a blast.  Miss Sarah and Miss Marlena taught us and they had just as much fun as we did!

Father Daughter Dance

Rant

"You haven't posted in a year."
Seriously?
Ok, I checked.  It's been more than a year.

But I hate posting.  It's like sewing.  It makes me so mad - every time I do it I swear I won't do it again.  I want to throw the computer (or sewing machine) out the window.  Literally.

Who looks at this blog anyway?  Family?  Well....you either live here or I just saw you less than two months ago.  Any pictures I post at this point will be older than your current mental image of us.  (although Zay's teeth are looking much better now....but I don't even have a picture of those)

I decided to post today.  I started looking through pictures (which I have to access by networking another computer)....We have pictures from this past year in 3 different places on our computer....many of the pictures being repeats in multiple places on the computer....and since the kids use the cameras, some files containing VAST VAST VAST amounts of pictures unsuitable for blogging.  Then I tried to sign into our blog.  Couldn't do it.  Tried to get "help accessing your account" - "email my password"....then couldn't even get signed into hotmail.  Finally did it.  Finally got my password emailed to me.  Restrained the urge to punch the computer.  Signed in to our blog. Then clicked "post" and tried to get pictures.  They're on another computer.  Cool.  Don't know how to get them on here.  There isn't a choice on here that says "upload pictures from another networked computer".

BTW...FYI....I did clean the office before I sat down to blog so the piles and dust and stuff in the carpet wouldn't put me over the edge while I tried not to throw the computer out the window....I'm telling you, posting is ALOT of work!

I just went through this resisting-the-urge-to-demolish-computer angst last month.  Yeah, when I finally got the 2013 Costco photo calendar done in February.  Sorry it was so late, Grandparents.  And sorry I missed all y'all's birthdays who had them while I didn't have a calendar.  (ok, yeah, I miss them even when I do have a calendar...Happy Birthday, Family.  I love you.  And while I'm doing a parenthetical aside about birthdays....I'm sorry, Rachel, that we just celebrated your Feb. 3rd birthday two days ago.  I love you.)  So all that work for those calendars....and those are the pics I would post anyway...  I'm going to try to email you access to our Costco account online.  Then you can look at the calendar.  It'll be just like a blog.  A Costco blog!!  Sweet!

It might take me a few minutes to "get help accessing my Costco account" so I can send you the info....

Wow.  Time to pick the kids up from school.  BTW....FYI....I only had two calls from the school while I was trying to post for you.  (one from the nurse with a kid who says his throat is sore and one from the principal with a kid sent to his office today (again)). Gotta run.

I love you.
