I am sooo excited - Last year I planned to do this and didn't get around to it - plus we weren't here for enough weeks at a time to be able to. This year I thought about it in advance and ordered us some caterpillars. We received the butterfly pavilion a few weeks ago and the caterpillars arrived yesterday - they don't look much but have grown overnight and are getting hairier too! Hard to believe they will turn into beautiful Painted Lady butterflies but we are promised that three out of five should hatch into perfect butterflies............ I know I'm being a big kid about it but its almost like magic to me.
It'll be about 7 -10 days before they turn into chysalides and then another 7 -14 before we see butterflies :-)
