speaking of australians, those incredibly awesome gals behind frankie magazine (my love for which is EPIC, btdubs), have done it again on the cookbook tip. as if afternoon tea wasn't awesome enough, now they've added sweet treats to their canon. talk about a perfect pair. i just want to live in these books. seriously.

i kind of love this this necklace from sniffle co. especially their description of it. i totally have a pair of busted cons, hanging from a wire somewhere in southern california. i mean, who doesn't??

on taupe of the world!

sorry bout that post title, i'm just practicing for my next career as a nail polish namer. gah! i would be so good! i got bad puns in my genes, just ask my dad. anywhoz, i have a completely fickle heart when it comes to nail color commitment (last week was "tart deco", the week before was "lucky, lucky lavender"), but THIS, this color might be around for awhile. i'm so diggin' the smokey taupe* ("over the taupe" to be exact) and it actually looks a bit darker on the nail, with even a hint of purple. perfect.

*you know how i know that this color is especially awesome? because when heather and i met up for some delicious arepas at caracas, we discovered that we were BOTH WEARING IT. out of the massive rainbow of colors at the nail salon, we both picked this one. talk about a moment. i mean, she's not my bff for nothin', right.

jimmy fallon, who knew you had such awesome taste in magazines?!? did any of you guys see this on friday?? i didn't, but after getting an "OMG, i just saw bust on tv!" text from my awesome friend amber i tracked it down online and completely freaked out. seeing jimmy give some love to this glossy product of my blood, sweat, and tears (ok, maybe not blood. but definitely sweat. and a few tears.) totally made my weekend. men we love indeed.

coachella, ella, ella, eh eh eh.

palm trees, sundresses, side braids, beat-to-hell brogues...seeing the ladies of edward sharpe and the magnetic zeros (the goodness of which i just discovered on my last trip to l.a.) kinda makes me wish i'd made the trek to coachella. it's been awhile. p.s. new york, what happened to spring?!?

it's official. i want these espadrille wedges in tomato from marais. and not just because my grandma has the clock that this pair has been prop styled with. but because they will look soooo good on my feet! i don't know about you guys, but my summer shoe list is growing by the day. my toes, they just wanna be free!

i need this tank. and the distressed cut-offs, strappy clogs, white shades, mega turquoise rings, bangles, and orange-red pouty lips. this is a total summer jam. SO happy the sun is out!

when i saw this tres adorable photo of kate over on her lovely blog hello lindello, i just had to repost it here cause it's too damn cute! i hate to admit it but i might be over the top knot? and my hair isn't long enough for a decent side braid which leaves me with the most boring coif ever. so i am totally feeling the headwrap vibe for the spring/summer months and i think this is the perfect way to do it. i'm not sure i can rock a turban, or a grey gardens-esque ensemble (though lord knows i may try), but this! this is awesomely accessible. thanks for the style spark kate!

just a few spring outfit inspiration photos from one of my fave online vintage joints, ramona west. i seriously can't wait to rock a pair of platform sandals with some dainty little ankle socks. tiny dresses, rompers, tank tops, and short high-waisted skirts? that pretty much sums up my warm-weather wardrobe.
