Slaanesh Rulez

 Fantastico e mega-androgino il Demone di Slaanesh. Certamente una delle miniature più suggestive tra i demoni maggiori, con le sue quattro braccia e il corpo mezzo uomo mezza donna fa piuttosto impressione. 

Great Marauder Chimera MM44

 Uscita nel 1990 questa a mio parere è una delle Chimere meglio riuscite: è piccola ma disegnata bene e alternava diversi tipi di pezzi tra cui scegliere: There were 4 alternate heads (Eagle or Ram, Boar or Rat) and 4 alternate tails (Scorpion, Lizard, Lion or Tentacle).

Quella che ho recuperato su eBay ha bisogno di essere pulita e sistemata ma mantiene ancora tutto il suo fascino!

Sculpted back in the 1990 is in my opinion of the most cool Chimeras ever made: is small but well designed and alternated between different types of pieces to choose from: There Were 4 alternate heads (Eagle or Ram, Boar or rat) and 4 alternate tails (Scorpion, Lizard, Lion or Tentacle).

The one that I recovered on eBay needs to be cleaned and placed, but I'm really excited to paint this nice piece!

Nice building for a great Warhammer Fantasy Battle

Realistic battlefield needs care. Nothing better than building with wood, an infinite number of houses and cottages to make things even better. It takes time but the result is truly amazing. U do not need more Plastic Prefabricated houses  you find in the store. With the wood, the effect is much more realistic and cool. 

Se proprio volete comprare le case in negozio fatelo, altrimenti con poche e semplici mosse si possono progettare e costruire piccoli gioielli in legno di balsa. Il segreto sta nel costruire le case in modo che i modelli possano poi interagire con le costruzioni. Prevedete dei camminamenti, magari dei livelli sui quali poter salire (torri di vedetta o piani alti per gli arceri e i maghi). Il dettaglio della colorazione è fondamentale. Aggungete un paio di radici secche e arba a piacere per aumentare l'effetto. Per il tetto usate il cartoncino, tagliate le strisce di carta, incollatele e modellatele a mo di ardesia.

If you really want to buy expensive houses in the shop do it, otherwise with a few simple steps you can design and build with balsa wood a great Warhammer house. Plan of the trenches, perhaps the levels on which to climb (watch towers and upper floors for archers and mages). All the details are essential. You can add a couple of dried roots and arba as desired to enhance the effect. For the roof, use paper, cut the paper strips, glue and cut it again to give them the right shape.

If u want to add more details, use the paper from the Warhammer Town Scape book. It's really hard to find on eBay, but you can also download a great PDF version online. This great book is full of small detalis to glue all over the building. Add some grass and voilà, you don't need Games Workshop-trash-plastic any more!

 Le pareti lisce di base, vanno decorate poi con strisce di balsa più sottili per costruire la finta armatura della casa. Con un paio di incroci giusti darete subito un bel sapore all'edificio!

The smooth walls of the base, are then decorated with strips of balsa wood to build more subtle reinforcement and to give the right look to the medieval "danish" house. With just a couple of intersections will give a nice look to the building!

King of Metal: Mezzo chilo di metallo dalla Reaper

Quando l'ho visto e ho sentito quanto pesava non ho potuto resistere: Hill Giant della Reaper scolpito da J.Weibe è un monumento a tutti i giganti mai usciti in commercio.
Mi ha subito ricordato, per le proporzioni, il favoloso gigante della Marauder (prossima spesa)!  E' quasi finito, manca solo una mano da dipingere e poi metterò le foto dettagliate della creatura!

When I saw it and I feel how much he weighed I could not resist: Hill Giant sculpted by J. Weibe the Reaper is a monument to all the giants never been available in the market.
I was immediately reminded, for proportions and weight  the fabled giant by Marauder (my next e-bay search)! 
Right now, the Reaper Hill Giant It 's almost finished, lacking only a hand to paint and will put the detailed photos of my new challenge!



















Nel frattempo ne ho subito trovato un altro interessante. Sempre scolpito da Weibe per la Reaper anche lui ha il suo bel peso in metallo ed è zeppo di dettagli (persino le ascelle pelose)!

Citadel Deluxe Box: Hobgoblin & Dwarf King's Court

 Scolpiti da Aly Morrison nel 1983 questi Hobgoblin entrano di diritto nel regno delle top miniature "orchesche" di tutti i tempi. A metà tra Labyrinth e i Samurai, le miniature sono dettagliatissime e piene di elementi curiosi di derivazione orientale. Armature giapponesi, katana, strani bastoni e mazze pennute. Peccato il metallo che dopo quasi trent'anni presenti tracce di ossidazione pesante in alcuni punti e nelle basi abbia fessurazioni importanti.

Sculpted by Aly Morrison in 1983 these Hobgoblin of law enter into the kingdom of the top "orcs" of all time. Halfway between Labyrinth and the Samurai, the miniatures are very detailed and full of curious elements of eastern origin. Japanese armor, katana, strange feathered sticks and clubs. Too bad that after nearly thirty years, the metal traces of heavy oxidation in some places and has cracks in the bases. Damn!!!

 Si conferma invece un grande classico il set "reale" di nani, Re, regina, orso ballerino e corte al seguito. Scolpito nel lontano 1982 mette addirittura i nomi ad ogni singola miniatura (meraviglia) :

Skull Crusher dei Goblin.

 Scolpita dal favoloso Kevin Adams negli anni '80, questa Skull Crusher dei Goblin è un piccolo capolavoro di piombo. Lavorata nei minimi dettagli ha come punto forte il contrappeso di legno e metallo con mezze lune sghignazzanti e facce scure. Anche la crew è particolarmente buffa e riporta tutte quelle caratteristiche goblin che sono andate perse nelgli anni: barba, facce strane, occhi stralunati e espressioni divertenti.

Sculpted by the Great Kevin Adams during the fabulous 80's, this Skull Crusher Goblin is a small-green masterpiece! It's full of small details as half-moon faces and grinning goblin strange faces. The crew is very funny and contains all the features that are lost in the modern time: beard, strange faces, big eyes and funny expressions. Maybe the best goblin War machine ever. Was also one of my favourite in the past!

If u look on the box back, u can see some nice detals too. Citadel always add a small "story" about the crew and the War machine, some funny dialogues and other nice stuff. Thx "Kevin Goblin Master Adams!

Skarloc's Wood Elf Archers

E' finalmente arrivata a casa la bellissima scatola di Wood Elf Archers targata 1987. Il gruppo di elfi è ben scolpito ma vale la pena prenderli solo per il favoloso-punk-leader con due spade!

Finally arrived the beautiful Wood Elf Archers Box from 1987. The group of elves is well sculpted, but it's worth taking just for the fabulous punk-leader with two swords! 
The box is really nice, full of colours and great pictures. Also in the back we can see a small story about the Archers Regiment and all their numbers in combat!

EQUIPMENT	The scouts are equipped with chain mail (light armour), shields, swords and long bows. Note that shields provide no protection when using bows. Personalities are equipped as noted in their individual descriptions.
BATTLECRY	Since they rely on guerilla warfare and sneak attacks, the scouts have no battlecry.
DEEDS	Skarloc's Wood Elf Scouts fight to preserve the edges of their forest home against the depradations of other races, most notably Orcs. Little is known of their deeds, although on one occasion over 200 Orcs of the Broken Skull tribe entered the forest, and none returned.
UNIFORMS	The scouts wear leather surcoats over their chain mail, in various shades of green and brown for camouflage.
SHIELDS	The shield design is a green tree with white trunk on a red background

Gara di pittura a tempo... 24 anni fa... credo... My first speed-painting tourneament, was 24 years ago... in Verona... was a third place for me.

Warmaster. Painted High Elves army

Questa armata di Elfi Alti mi ha portato via moltissimo tempo. Ho voluto dipingerla per bene, anche se le miniature sono molto piccole ho curato più possibile i dettagli e la serialità delle sfumature. Vista nel suo insieme è davvero impressionante, e poi tutti i modelli sono in metallo. Cosa non da poco, viste le dimensioni era un attimo fare dei "giocattolini".

This High Elves army took me a long time to paint it well. I used many colors and do my best to paint as much details as possible. Now It's a Great Army (full metal)!
