Happenings..

Its there

They are singing the christmas song

Happen in orchard that these native people from Jap came to Singapore to perform on the streets...

First time i see this happen

I was knocking off from work when i saw many people gathering around something in the christmas decorated orchard.. Christmas song was played, and there i see 2 people playing chess with each other....

And the poster says "Father dying of prostrate cancer.. Fund raising to purchase flight ticket back to Jamaica to visit sick father..."

Oh ok, i was thinking at least he's so much better than a beggar who just sits there and wait for money... Its the first incident i saw in singapore who is doing this, but obviously he isn't a singaporean...

I aimed the sky and reach the mountains

before the race, the sleepy face...

people warming up getting ready..

It was 4am in the morning and i took a cap down to padang... I came downstairs just to come across the taxi uncle swapping shifts... One of the uncles lived in yishun and i get to go to yishun first without the metre... Then ops, i realise the cap doesn't have a nets or mastercard machine... So i told the uncle,"stop me at the nearest atm for me to withdraw money..."..

But this really kind uncle told me to pay whatever i have to him, $16.. So i said, "next time see you at coffee shop treat you drinks..." as he stayed just beside my block..

I met Terry and his twin brother at the luagge check it, and we started the marathon together...

After about 6km, i said i needed to go first... My body was full of energy, so i went ahead...

My burst of energy came 10 mins after the race, and i go with very powerful strides... My body wasn't at all tired at the beginning so i really went on with very fast pace, cutting and overtake many people...

After 21km mark, they gave power gels.... Wow shoik, i had the chocolate one, taste like melted chocolate and that boosted me with the energy i needed...

here's the orange one, still unused...

After i go on to about 27km, my legs fail on me.. I had cramps after cramps but surprisingly, i continued running..

I enjoyed the water points along the way.. I would just stop, take a sip of drink relax, and then continue running....

After th 34km mark, my leg engines tell me to stop.... No more battery... So i walked from 34km to 42km.... This point of time was the most torturing moments.. My nipples, my balls experiencing abrasions... Poor thing... My sole was aching terribly and i have to sit down and rest every 2km... It was so horrible...

Luckily there were so many people on the sides cheering us to keep moving... That so moltivates me to carry on walking, although i couldn't run...

The finishing point was near... I still couldn't run... I can only walk passed the finishing line.....

here's the shirt with the medal

The proudest shirt ever, 42km finisher...

The Day before the 42km Marathon

And guess what, i got my race pack for the race... Here's the blue carry bag from standard chartered.....

And inside the bag contains, some brochures, a snack, Deep heating rub, a wrist band and lastly not forgetting the running vest..

cool.... i'm sooo excited for tml....

I made it just before i blew it

just 7 more seconds before i'll fail the swim trial and heechai and betrand already completed the swim.

Half way throughout the last laps, i hear shouts.. I see people on platform... OK, that must be Betrand and Heechai, they were cheering for me to go faster... thanks guys..

I look at the giant timer... 39mins.... above 40 mins and i'll fail... I push out my hardest stroke, kick with all my leg strength towards the finishing...

The clock was still ticking and before i could reach the end, it was 39.50.. 10 more seconds...

I quickly pushed and pushed, finially reaching the ending at 39.56

After i left the pool. I just laid half-unconcious at the platform with my head spinning in circles around whirlpool, while heechai and betrand lift me up on the feet...

That was sooo close that i made it before i blew it....

Good intentions lays bad impressions!

Why do good intentions lay bad impressions..... Its happening to me

First of all, i am going to say this is sooo happening to me. In a moment, it just happened that my life seem to be falling apart..

I had a quarrel with my brother about something... I was told this... "Hey, taking your frustrations home and let it off on your love ones... Its so irritating when you do that...." then i will be like.. oh yea... i admit that i always scold my mum sometimes when she asked me for dinner because i am concentrating on something really important, may be game may be school work, or studying for exam....

You see, the fact that when i put in my 100% into something, i expect results, outputs.. And when there is something that is disturbing me or standing in my path, i just can't stand it because i want to accomplish something.....

My frustration lies with the fact that i didn't rely on my parents for income, and also have to concentrate on my schoolwork , my driving.... My parents understand what i am going through and i know it isn't fair to be flaring out to them at times, but i just can't help it....

I want to be able to survive on my own, to lessen my parents burdens but by doing that, i became the bad guy... I let out my frustrations at home, i complain about stuff...

I can't just keep quiet and go crazy..

The amazing thing about this is that people don't think i have a bad temper, but only my family knows about my bad temper... that's the irony..

Biathlon the Monster

1.5km of swimming makes a monster.
30 laps of swimming in 40mins and we took 43mins.. but great! we completed the swim but there is another 10km more of jogging distance to cover...

It's a life challenge, a taste of endurance and preseverance!....

LIFE IS MEANINGLESS IF YOU SKIP ITS CHALLENGE

This is something i shared with a good friend of mine. 2 questions to start!

Would you rather die of sickness or would you die trying to climb mount Everest!

Life itself is so full of challenge that sometimes u gave up trying for what you aspire for.

Wondered why some people have the guts to do things nobody else did or encouraged that he stands out from the crowd. They are people with great great courage to do what they think is right and do it.

It is a life cycle that everyone have to die someday. That's why that everyday we live, we have to cherish every moment of it.

Courage comes from the thinking that if i were to die tomorrow, i die with no regrets because i have the courage to do what i never thought would be able to do it.

I think of that everytime i came across difficult situations. I fell into bigger trouble, i take higher risks to solve it. Courage itself is to take risks.

People who have nothing take risks to have something, just like the paperclip story..

I ain't born with talents, i'm born with nothing, and i'll try my best to have that something!

end of story...

No more worries for tomorrow

No more deadlines, no more projects, no more crazy lab practicals and no more quiz to think about. How wonderful will life become.

Let's imagine Poly life without many things to worry about. Everyday is something we look forward to.

Today is badminton
Tomorrow is swimming
The day after is Shopping
Weekend will beee clubbing!!!!

No project deadlines, no time limit.. We do on our own time own target.

So that while clubbing, i don't have to remember "Oh shit, tomorrow i need to hand in my use case diagram".

Its full fun when u have it, and its full work when u do it.

How do you define Security

I think that we should implement some security into our daily lifes. We send out many smses everyday to certain people, some of them maybe important, others of less importance.

But we should at least have certain security in place to protect what is important. For example our contacts and smses in our handphones. Everytime we hang out with friends during luch, you will place your hp on the table at times, which is vulnerable to everyone. Anyone can just pick up your phone, browse your smses and straight away know who you are contacting with, and what the conversation details are.

Damn it... What about your contacts in your phone. For example i have a die hot girl in my contact list who has the most perfect legs that you will die for.

So, you don't want to share it with your friends but though somehow you spilled out her name.

Oh man.. I go for lunch, head out to order some food while leaving my handphone on the table. And this time, one of your friends is in need of a beauty and picks up your handphone. He browses through your phone contacts and found the girl's contact. He steal it by saving it into his phone and then return your phone to its original position and state.

And then, you can back to your table with your food and.... doesn't feels fishy about anything....

Oh geez, that's how tammy got sexpose.... One day any of us may get sexposed, too so i suggest setting a password in your phone.

Unlucky Napfa Results

Just 2cm away from gold, and i couldn't make it. A C requires a jump of 232 and i jumped 230 after many many tries. The instructor asked me to look far, but look far and cannot jump.

Wish i have legs like a frog...

i met this guy who was overtaking me in 2.4, then i ask, "so did u manage to get gold"
He replied, "No, my standing broad jump was 2cm away from a gold"

And gosh, there i found someone in my shoes, so we discuss discuss, he suggested we go bargain for the points.... lol no way la... 2cm also no mercy....

gg lo... came back with a silver... try again next time..

Call centre experience

After my attachment in KPMG, i thought of finding a new job for a different experience. I quitted my job in epicentre, which was a risk i took in order to find a better job.

Thanks to Heechai i found this call centre job in starhub that grant me a decent pay of 9 per hour. We are suppose to solve customer's problems.

As a new trainee over there, sometimes i find it difficult to help them because of my lack of knowledge, but not every customer is the same. They are very demanding.

Some just scold you once you picked up the phone, others distrust you at the beginning to the end. But the frequency of these customers calling is only about 2%, so the other rest of them were ok.

i picked up the phone and first thing i hear, "You are quite new eh, usually the operator will check and ask someone to call me back. I want you to transfer to someone more experienced!" Seeing the customer so sia lan, i anyhow transfer her to the technical department. Don't think they can help also but serve her right...

I have this funny guy Mervis setting beside me. Very helpful guy, but very crappy too.. Always complaining to his lcd screen about bitchy customers or screw up calls.

He received one call last week back. First thing to hear, "I was kidnapped! i demand compensasion from starhub." After hearing this, was like wtf!

He was kidnapped in South Africa and faxed in a police case from there. Haha, doesn't seem to be joking but is one of the wierdiest case for that week man... Farny stuff!

Went back to school yesterday, get to see all my friends and somehow kinda miss my school life alot.
