9 & 10 July - Batam.

First stop after checking in to hotel (which was awesome, really) was at this place for seafood. We reached there like... At 2pm+ or 3pm+? This place is built on water and I got a little dizzy with its very slight shaking(?) above water. And it isn't that nice of a place unlike in this photo la HAHA. Got houseflies all. The seafood's not bad la but I think I may be too much of a city girl. I very much prefer eating in restaurants in SG without having the need to fan away houseflies hahaha. I do love the view though.

To back up my point about the hotel being awesome, it is 4 star - I Hotel Baloi. The lobby itself was so comfy already. Maybe thanks to the aircon that is really a life saviour in the relentless hot sun. Totally melted on the lobby sofa the moment we stepped in.

Took the above pic off the I Hotel Baloi website. Our room looks EXACTLY like this. I wonder if all rooms have the same picture hung up hmm... And our room overlooks the pool, which was really a pretty nice view in the day. Location is good too, right beside this really huge hawker centre. Something like East Coast Lagoon Food Village (at ECP), except that this is much bigger and really sells a lot more variety, not repetitive.

Ok back to the kelong. With his family. K and his sis were fighting over seafood and omg it was a really long and ridiculous fight. It was funny to watch but when it dragged on a little too long I was just like err ok guys chill man! Hahaha.

I love coconut flesh and juice! Would be even better if it was chilled.

Afterwards we went back to our hotel to nua for awhile before heading to the hawker centre for dinner. Then BCS mall which is right beside the hawker centre for erm. Some walking LOL we literally walked the whole mall without buying anything...? Then back to the hotel to chill YESSS seriously I loved the hotel haha so comfy!! But I guess the company made it even better ^^

Ohai. Next day at breakfast. Daz me looking bloated like a bao.

How the breakfast place looked like! Picture from the website again. This is night view I think, I love the morning ambience a lot more! It's like not so yellow cause of natural sunlight. And the sofas are comfy to sit on. The subtle clinking of the cutleries added nicely to its atmosphere. Oh and actually we were only have suppose to have 6 people for buffet breakfast but there were 7 of us. So I walked in really effortlessly as though I had already been eating in there, just that I came out to use the washroom. Haha! Professional actress.

Afterwards we went to walk around the marketplace and had the most bitter liang teh we've ever had!!! Authentic indeed. Then back to our hotel rooms to nua (best thing after walking for quite awhile in the blistering sun) and off for a short swim/dip in the pool (second best to aircon!).

Wanton mee after a short short dip. I LOVE THE NOODLES!!! Super springy which means chewy I like!!!!!!! Oh and the shop blacked out halfway through eating. How fun.

Time to go home so sad. I know I'm smiling but nopeee.

I'm am really REALLY surprised that mum didn't object to me traveling with them. Maybe cause it was just one night so she was fine with it. It was a good relaxing time with them. Thanks mum!

Hello There.

Been a long time since I stepped into this space!

It's been awhile since we hit our first year anniversary. We didn't do anything special, nor did we even meet that day actually. Although I do wish for something a little special at times, whenever I see him I tend to feel that nah, all I need is him to be here with me. HE is special. He may not be a guy who surprises me much nor shower me with gifts, but he is always sooooo thoughtful with his actions that the former isn't important at all. The latter is what's important.

Our journey has met its own obstacles, some small, some so huge that we were really put to test. I'm so thankful that we made it through, and that it was you whom I braved the storm with. I predict future tougher obstacles, but I am certain that we would put up a good fight no matter what. We still have such a long journey ahead, and aplenty to learn as grow as individuals or as a couple. I'm looking forward to my journey with you :)

Sometimes I wonder how students like this actually feel. How frustrated some of them must be because they wanna do well, just that they really don't understand and can't. The torturous hour they have to go through during exam, the relief yet disappointment after every paper. Coupled with almost every Singaporean parent's expectations, and our education system. What if they are really talented in something else? What he it causes them to deem themselves as a failure? He/she might never figure out their talents but only wither in academic inabilities. Sigh.

My fave part of our Halong Bay trip.

Last of our 2D1N Halong Bay.

Day 4 at beautiful Tam Coc.

With our fave bahn mi!!!!!!

Slow walks at night by the lake... Much feels. Really a lot.

30cents beer!!!

Outdoor countdown with horrible EDM.
Had a really fun night back at our hotel after this hehe.

And it's time to go home :')

Never expected us to have a trip together at such young age, for we're always so kampong-y, meeting comfortably in our neighbourhood. I've got so much to be thankful for. Can't even describe how I feel with words. Such friendships are so precious.

Halfway through December.

I've been damn busy this hols. With what? I also don't know. But my calendar's damn packed!!! So here's some random updates based on my photos.

@ Student Leader's Camp with Tobsie!

My OG hehe. Pretty fun bunch.

Our raft sank cause one of the pipe broke. It was unexpected (even by the camp instructors) and damn dangerous!!! Luckily no one got badly hurt.

THE STARS ARE REALLLLLLL omg freaking beautiful. Such an amazing photo caught by a super expensive camera!!! It was quite funny cause all of us were told to stop moving in order for this photo to be well taken.

It was a pretty good camp I would say. It wasn't about self-realising but more about bonding the Union as a whole as I think it definitely achieved it's objectives. I understood the other committees and faculty clubs so much more than before, and made friends from all over!!! And yeah it made me realise (once again) how selfish thinking is what causes segregation. If every committee could just give in a little we would be so much more bonded as a whole and work well as one unit altogether! Too bad humans aren't that nice. It always isn't that simple.

Funnest date we've had in ages!!! Went to Play Nation with him and got owned, big time. Not complaining though. Hehehe. He went to get paint with me after that cause we're repainting my house and I think the auntie thought we're a married couple LOLLOLLOL. 我们看起来有这样老吗???

Kbbq @ I'm Kim. Eat until really damn full omg. But $14 quite worth!!!

NUSSU PRU! Looking forward to another sem of work and fun with them :)))
