Long overdued

Many many updates.
I'm still figuring out how to lock posts in livejournal so I shall continue posting here.

181209- Sis's 21st birthday!
With Mum & Sisters! Dad couldn't join bcos he was at work.Hahaha don't you think my elder Sis looks like my Mum alot~P.S. I look like my Dad. ALOT. HAHAHA. :D
We went to a KTV at Chinatown, Sis's boyfriend was there as well. The KTV room is very very small, which was a little squeezy for the 5 of us. Nonetheless it was good, other than the part where I came down with fever at night. Well HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DEAR SIS!:P (Don't think she reads my blog though, hahaha!)

Wow I'm really glad I could join their outing(Sheena, XinYing, WanXuan, EeTing, Carissa, Yvonne), because I don't think I was really close to them in secondary school(I was VERY quiet, if I never remember wrongly there was a period of time I can just go to school the whole day w/o talking to anyone- typical nerd/emo kia HAHA).

First we went to Kovan for bowling, before heading to ECP for cycling.

I love the feeling of cycling. (: Speed, momentum, wheee~
Other than the aftermath of butt-pain, lol.

Went to church for effects training halfway, but met the girls again on the bus home! How very coincidental!

In conclusion, the outing was fun! Hope to be able to go out with them again~

241209- Bday celebration cum Christmas countdown!
The 6 of us(Gersh, DJ, Clr, Cvn, Wei & I) went to Vivo to eat steamboat! Well it wasn't very nice & it was pricey & I was down with sore throat & can't speak BUT the company was awesome, just hanging out & everything. & I just realised as I was uploading the pics, that we actually forgot to take a group picture! ):

Picture above was taken in church where we headed to after dinner, but Clr & Wei did not go along. Not very nice(DJ got blocked a little), but at least this was the nicer out of the 2 group pics we took? Aiyo.

Hohoho I really need braces to force my teeth & jaw in :E. Don't like me bunny teeth. :E.

251209- Meet up with Carman!
Carman, Sheena, Chinchilla, DJ!I didn't know where to put my hands, that explains the awkward twist HAHAHA.
Oh my gosh! It's been 2 years since we went to HK for SR's exchange program... & Now Carman comes over to SG to meet us! Many many memories over there, someday will save up enough to go back there, just as Sheena & I always said we wanted to!

Well Carman was Gersh's buddy~ I didn't talk to her much back then but she was really sweet to send us photos & compiled them into videos when we came back.

We went to eat at Thai Express, but I wasn't hungry so I drank a cup of Iced chocolate which tasted like Milo to me. I think the best ice chocolate is from college's Good News Cafe. (: Hahaha I miss college life, especially the fridays when we start school late & I go early to study on my own in the classroom.

Aww memories so sweet. (:
I miss HK.

Hope to meet Carman again before she goes back...

261209- Dad's 4*th birthday!
Hahaha protect my Dad's age. :P But he's young compared to my friends' parents I guess?

Our family had a simple dinner & a cake for celebration, as always. Bought Dad a nice black ball point pen set woho quite expensive but it's worth it~

I think my Dad is an awesome dad, he never fails to help me when I ask.
When I was younger I thought he didn't love us all because he seldom talk to us. But now I realise, he probably just expresses his love in a different way, by providence instead of communication.

Of course, both are important, so now I'm trying to talk to my Dad instead of waiting for him to talk to us! (:

26/271209- Tidied my room
Suffered from insomia, can't sleep so shifted my room furniture around & cleaned almost every surface(other than the highest window grills that I can't reach).

Okay this is rather mundane but I just wanna share about it because I tidy my room whenever I feel upset/bored/TOO awake. So for those who might feel the same at times, try this new therapy by chinchilla okay~

Slept at 5am, thankfully for the ipod touch Sis lent to me to keep me company.

Now I think I wna get one too. :D

Or maybe a laptop will do also laa. BERRY PURPLE SONY VAIO(to match my ipod, lol)!! Or any nice laptop.

Or nice DSLR! :D

271209- Meetup with PAE friends!
Went to another church to visit(HoGC had no service on Sunday). The praise & worship part were pretty different, another experience altogether.

But the presence of God was still felt, & I was ministered by the Word. (:

Then met up with LL, Cassandra, ZhanYuan, YJ, Gerald, Kelly! :D
No picture again, because they took a picture before I reached! & Jerald left before I reached.

It's Christmas Eve!
Nearing year end, time for reflections, & for a brand new start for 2010.
Really wna get gifts but circumstances deterrrrrrrr.

Basically it's been a gap year for me.
The tough year of explaining 'why aren't you schooling'...
& explaining my current work location which has an uber long name

HAHAHA besides that life is still pretty great
Many many turning points,
Just like the one I realised a few days back.
Little lessons learnt along the way.

On life.
On studies.
On family.
On friends.

& How I realised I've changed just over a 1-year time span. (:
But definitely more better change to be done.
I could have done better.

2010 here I comeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! (:

Some more updates/thoughts:
1. I'm currently down with a bad sore throat + coughing fits & I can't speak, without strain that is. & I don't know sign language. I can't communicate with the rest of the world. Hohoho.

Or I can type~!
But I can't order food. -_-

2. Went for effects training yesterday, learnt many things. I think church is an awesome place... I can see better changes to lives around me, I can see better changes in me. (:

3. I strongly feel that, love(between family/friends/etc) is sacrifice.

4. Some people avoid confrontations but saying 'I don't know' to everything in some half-hearted, insincere way. It is an effortless & lazy attempt to shriek all responsibilities. I find it immature & I shall avoid doing that as well.

5. Yes I'm tired too, but what keeps you going?

Our day actually starts at MID-DAY! Likegood morning! Now it's just 4 hours into my day! A.K.A. the '4am' that we usually call it. Just a change of perspective...

Because I still haven't got the book & I haven't got the time to organise my thoughts.

Just wanna share some things I heard from my mentor Chesterm yesterday. He was sharing about this famous American athelete 'Steve Prefontaine', some background...

(Awesome. It's rare that I say something motivating, that made 4 people 'like'. Will I get patent for this quotable quote? Haha. But then again, was it the front part of my quotable quote that they like, or the second half? Give me the benefit of doubt, I take it as they like BOTH. :P )

Decisions leads to a better change yes, but that's like an utopic situation isn't it.

I made a decision to study hard, get straight 'A's & get into uni, but I failed to do so because...

But. The obstacle that stops us from getting what we want. The brick wall.

Dawn shared about 'brick walls'(obstacles that deter us from what we want) yesterday & it hit me, that the brick wall is what makes you different from the person next to you who wants the same thing.

Many of us gave up when the brick walls hit us. But how many of us possess the courage & strength to break down the wall & to obtain what's behind it? And the next wall, and the next wall, and the next...

How badly do I want success? How badly do I want to achieve my dreams?
& I remember something Hope shared with me before- 'We don't succeed because(of good things that happen to us/luck/fate), but we succeed despite(of the obstacles/brick walls that deter us from doing so)'.

Life is a race in itself
& I'm gonna run hard, very hard.

FIGHT for your DREAMS! (:
At least you know you gave your best. Don't sacrifice your gift...

Some updates:
1) ODAC BBQ was great! But when I left I realised I didn't eat a lot(to worth the $, haha!) & I was feeling hungry. The company was worth it though. Haven't been talking to ODACians because I seldom go for outings. Crazy pictures taken with JunQiang's Macbook! Pictures to be uploaded soon~ *Work=busy busy.

2) Got a pair of pretty shoes from a blogshop. Shopping is fun! More fun when I have a thick wallet full of CASH *cha-ching* or a very loaded bank account. HAHA~ I shall strive to make my whole closet BLACK. & lotsa bags, lotsa bags, lotsa bags~ & shoes. & make-up, hahaha~

I just scalded myself with very hot(luckily, not boiling) water & was trembling to keep the pain inside. If I was at home I would have screamed & ran to take ice. OUCH!! Now the pain is making me nauseatic(? Maybe there is no link at all?).

Anyway, this is just a short & rather meaningless update, hahaha.

Still thinking of new blog name, most probably using livejournal(because their layouts are more customisable). Listening to songs from YouTube to keep me awake(that explains the screenshot!), only had 4 hours of sleep last night. I'm tired but happy. (:
