i somehow feel the need to do a new post. oh well.. not so miserable anymore. it's interesting how small things sometimes give you such great enlightening. interestingly, i chanced upon the september, october, november 2006 editon of our daily bread this tuesday. just picked it up casually and flipped through while waiting for my dad to drive me to kovan for math tuition. the first reading in the book was.. Peaceful Anxiety.
Here's a short excerpt:
It's comforting to know that such things are in our Father's hands. My inability to do anything about the problem was more than matched by my confidence in God, for whom all things are possible. As I prayed about the situation, my anxiety was replaced by His peace (Phil. 4:6-7).The problems of life can be taxing on us - physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Yet, as we learn to trust in the Father's care, we can have the peace that not only surpasses all understanding, but also overcomes our anxiety. We can be at rest, for we are in God's hands. yup. i am truly thankful for all the good things that have happened this week. there suddenly seemed to be a glimmer of hope regarding the bizroom issue. in fact, it could be a blessing in disguise. the TJ joint venture has been solved as well. instead of it being a 2jc thing, it now involves 11 other jcs. the j1s have been wonderful. its incredible how things seem to work out fine when you have a positive outlook. in fact, it comes as a pleasant surprise how good can come out of something that seemed so horrible.
the week before, i was complaining about the problems we had and my dad told me that there isn't much i could do anyway, so we can only leave it to God. i must say that He works in mysterious ways...
anyway, school life is still hectic and exhausting. bio topical test, chem mock spa, syf auditions, loads and loads and loads of tutorials which i have yet to start. oh well. i guess these things do make our lives a little more fulfilling. haha.
oh yes. i was clearing my desk this afternoon and i came across my ocip file. it reminded me of my carefree days in cambodia, where spa and tutorials were several hundred kilometers away, literally. i miss the holidays. weird that we tend to appreciate things only when they are long gone.
cheers everyone!

i think i have been feeling somewhat miserable the whole week. too many things happened too quickly, in too short a time. argh.. i don't know. i just feel miserable.
i guess i'm not the only one. i think denise feels that way too.
can't help wanting to strangle/scream at someone.
i hate it when people say one thing and then forget all about it within half a day. i am beginning to dread coming home.
ee.. my first 'emo' post in a long long while. oh well.. nevermind.

whee.. went for dinner with my ocip group yesterday.. my 2nd outing with them. ahah..
oh. ok. wait. by the way, denise and i cleaned out the bizroom yesterday! yeahh.. i feel soo accomplished and we'll be going furniture shopping soon! AND we are going to impose a no-shoes rule once we have mopped up the place. woohoo.. finally a place to hang out (even though it's about the size of a storeroom. haha. at least we have a "room". shall try to be more appreciative..
right. so we were stranded in school while we waited for jolie, chinghui, tricia and ziyan. after a round of that "ti-titititi-titi' game (we should probably name it the official group b game), we decided to go find an empty classroom and study. -.- YES. STUDY. muahaha..
so u can imagine mr lim's face when he saw us STUDYING in t12. haha. we asked him if he wanted to join us for dinner later on. his first reaction was, "not sick of seeing each other yet ah?" haha. anyway, we'll be having a combined ocip dinner soon!
we went to thaipan for dinner. i think the waitress got quite fed up with us because we took so long to place our orders and later on because we got A BIT too noisy. :D we played a game (forgot what's it called) but someone added a rule where the person to the right had to feed the person who called out 21. hmm.. we couldn't finish the food so the poor person had to eat up some food. anyway, as you would have guessed.. there were some people who we SIMPLY had to see getting fed.. muahahahaha. *evil laughter* we were sitted in this arrangement at a round table: tricia, me, ziyan, jolie, vannessa, elroy, chinghui, xiangyeow, zhichen. yup. so go figure it out yourself. *grins*
right. then we headed to gelare at siglap for part2! ziyan was sooo nervous on the way there because we wouldn't tell her where we were going to. she kept having a suspicion that we would throw her into a mud puddle. oh! which reminds me that we ARE going to do that on monday! :D we bought them a cake and then we sat around and talked till about 10. ohoh! i really really hope that we'll get to go for ocip 2007 again. as a group. nobody gets left behind. in fact, i think we should just give sdd a miss. maybe, we'll get to go with the j1s OR we could just plan our own trip there on our own. either way, i am already looking forward to it.
group b rocks. totally.
vannessa says: "OH YES"
right. ok nevermind.
i wonder why i even posted this.. i doubt anyone else really wants to know about my group outing. -.-"'

we had the annual ( duh.. annual) juniors meet seniors session today! they look like a nice bunch of people but there are no st nicks girls in my junior class!!!!! argh..
ok. anyway, they self-introed then johnnyboy introduced us. he doesn't know what cca some of us are in.. -.-" then he made the juniors play " pass the apple" which i personally think is totally pointless and very VERY disgusting. ok. maybe sharing saliva would somehow make the class more bonded. ewww.. oh then 2 girls had to do a forfeit: 7 wonders of the world. poor girls. they were quite sporting actually..
and we'll be doing the angel-mortal thing again. and my mortal is... (haha. that's for me to know and him/her to guess) stop nosing around.. muahaha..

continued...
my ocip group. yeah.. i still can't get over our cambodian trip. and i now enjoy dishwashing (yah.. keep laughing) and somehow i actually can't bear to kill lizards these days..
it's incredible what 9 days of living together can do to 9 people who barely knew each other. what can i say..
"ok. nevermind."
tricia, elroy, chinghui, xiang yeow, jolie, ziyan, zhi chen, vannessa. oh! i forgot mr lim. yep. we're the group of stupid kids.

my best buddies from secondary school! yay.. we finally got to meet up. so glad to know that you all still remember me! haha. those were the good old days. ai wo, ai wo shen hi ge la! haha. the same photo.. but it's the nicest i have!

4 Faith '05! here's a picture we took on teachers' day! back in our dear old classroom. ms lim is now mrs lim! i missed her wedding! so sad.. maybe we'll get invited to her son/daughter's one-month-old celebration.. muahaha..

AND.. how could i forget BizClub exco comm? the really really sad thing is that we don't have a single picture. but... they are a really great bunch of people to work with. well, they do have a tendency to talk a lot of rubbish (imagine a 5 hour exco meeting.) but we definitely know how to have fun while we work. denise, eunice, weixin, siliang, kiansin. thank you so much people..

i just visited tanying's blog and it inspired me to create this list of my favourite photos and favourite people for the year 2006!
06s35. these were taken during the first 3 months.. i admit that we are not exactly the most united or enthusiastic class. but guess what? haha. i still missed seeing you all so much during the holidays. we are a class afterall.. oh. i just realised that we don't have a class photo since JAE.

my pw group! a group of people so unlike one another. we work hard and play hard (YES. WE PLAY..) haha. i couldn't ask for anything more. thank you ruth, rachel, ray and lubin. you people are the best!

my buddies from harmoc. i guess they are the ones who i really really share lots of tears and laughter with. tanying, mei fang, zi zhao, shun yuan and emma (our wonderful wonderful sectional leader).

back to school!
arrived in school at 7 today to see lots of sec school "kids" (haha.kidding.) roaming around looking lost. sadly, there wasn't any junior i knew (chai yue!! i am going to strangle you!!! ahh..). supposedly the cut-off point is 6, without bonus points. BUT i am highly doubtful. can't believe that it got so competitive this year. i got in with 9 points last year!they don't have the usual 'first 3 months' anymore. it's now 'first 3 weeks'. poor thing.. only get to enjoy for 3 weeks..
anyway, i was sooo happy today! it's so nice to see everyone again! i missed all of you! really! if there's one thing i miss about school. it has got to be the people.i miss lubin. apparently most of my closer friends are all ogls. bleargh. i should just go crash an og.yah right. i don't have the guts to. haha. i met practically my whole ocip group today! yayness..
whee.. no lectures this whole week! :) oh! and school ends at 12.10 for my class on wednesdays.. -.-" so i'll have to wait till 3pm for cca to start. hrmph.
oh. 3 periods straight of bio tutorial tomorrow.. great way to start the day huh.
