Morning Run

This morning I went on a lovely run around our nation's Capitol Building. There were a lot of runners out. It is rare that I see a runner running when I run so this was a bit different. They were all friendly and looked happy. Who wouldn't be running by such amazing historical sites. I will give you a little tour of my run:

 I took this as it is mental health and substance abuse Recovery Month and I thought it was interesting that the sign was up.

 Megan and I walked down to the Eastern Market this morning and saw lots of yummy fresh vegetables and fruits, and even bought some.

A Little BIt of Heaven

This morning Katie, Lauren and I hopped in Ray's truck to go to Aspen Hills. We have not been there since Ray got sick...three years! Oh how I have missed that little bit of heaven...my own piece of the mountain. We arrived to find the gate had been moved to the top of the washboard road. When we arrived a big sign announced "metal key only". We had brought our card key as we did not know we needed the metal key. What to do? We knew our good friends, the Madsen's had gone down for the weekend so Katie texted Jamie, they were just leaving Fairview...but some of their other family was still there so Jamie called Tacie and Tacie and Caren came to our rescue. YAY!!!!!! They met us at the gate and let us in then arranged with us the time they were leaving so we would not be locked in. A joyful reunion with the mountain ensued. The following pictures show our little bit of heaven.
