Happy faces 2...

As a disclaimer, I am not the best taker of pictures. If you want to see really good ones, check out Kate's blog. But I want to share why I was in seven days of pure happiness.

Blessings...

Early Monday morning I was excited to be on my way to the temple. to be precise. My trusty car did not seem to be running as well as that nice rental car I had been driving. Oh, well, I thought, that was a brand new car. When what to my amazement but my car stopped, yes the engine stopped at the corner of Freedom and 400 North*. So I turned the key off and turned it back on, pushed the gas pedal and the engine stopped, again. Hmmmm thought I, this is not good*. It is pitch dark and I am in the middle of the road. Out I got to push the car to the curb. I got it about a foot, my first goal was to get it past the white line, just inches away, but to no avail. No cars were passing, no people were on the street. After all it was 5:00 a.m.! A young man* appeared out of the dark and asked if he could help me. I gladly accepted his offer and we pushed, well he pushed, the car to the curb. Many thanks! And he was on his way. I gathered up my things and walked* back home. Where I got out Ray's trusty truck* and was soon on my way. I enjoyed my time in that special edifice* and was able to get to work on time*. After some consultation with a knowledgeable about cars person*, we determined it must be the fuel pump. I called AAA* and the tow truck was there in minutes*. The driver towed* my car to our trusty mechanic, Doug*. All I could think of was how blessed I was Monday morning!

*Blessings in this order
1. I was only six blocks from home!
2. I calmly figured out what to do with no tears!
3. A young man was there to help me!
4. Not only do I like to walk, but I am able to walk!
5. We had another vehicle for me to take!
6. I was able to make it to the temple!
7. I still got to work on time!
8. There was someone there who could help me figure things out!
9. Our AAA membership was current!
10. The tow truck driver came quickly!
11. The auto repair shop was less than 5 miles away, so no tow fee!
12. We have a trusty mechanic!

33 Years of Happiness

Ray surprised me at work today with this lovely arrangement of fruit. Not only is is beautiful to look at but yummy to taste! He brought it to me at work himself walking all the way into my office to surprise me. It was truly a wonderful surprise. To tell the truth, I am so thankful that we are able to celebrate this anniversary together!

Grandpa's baby boy. Bathtime.

Like father like son.

Three generations...my favorite guys.

Thank you Nathan and Katie for a wonderful week!

We Made It!

For those of you who may be wondering, we really made it, finally, to see our grandchildren. It was a most wonderful trip!

Josie taking Grandpa to church.
Posing for Grandma.

This little girl really loves her grandpa.

She loves her baby brother and her mother, too.

Rain is good for playing in.

Umbrellas are good for catching rain.

She really does smile most of the time!

Swinging high in the sky is a favorite activity.

Riding the chipmunk is safer than riding the seahorse...the seahorse has a cocoon under it.

Sliding is fun, too.

Loving baby brother and Grandpa.
