North End!

Kaedan did amazing in North End!  He ended up running it in a 5:16.  He took 8 seconds off his best time.  Based on what everyone at North End was running prior to North End, this time would've got him into districts.  However, everyone stepped their game up and Kaedan came in 11th overall.  They take the top 8.  He was just several seconds/footsteps too late.  We are so proud of him and he should be so proud of himself for making it all the way to North End as a 7th grader nonetheless! 

 

The night before North End we printed Kaedan and Cooper some inspirational quotes and tied them up with curling ribbon in their school colors.  Kaedan really got into motivational talks and quotes to keep him going during the track season as it's such a mental challenge too.  I think the dedication and drive he's learned from track will help him excel in many areas of life.  We're proud of you Kaedan.  We love you!

Flamingo Fun!

Grandma and Grandpa Nye put these flamingos in our yard and we've kept them going back and forth in the family!  So fun and silly!  We love it!

West Point 7-11 Grand Opening

7-11 is West Point's first convenience store.  Everyone's been so excited!  We ran over to get some slurpees during their grand opening!  I have the feeling these will be the first of many!  ;)

 

 

Abraham Lincoln, aka Carter

Carter played the part of Abraham Lincoln in his patriotic play at school.  He did a great job!  Love you Carter! 

 

Baptisms for the Dead @ Bountiful Temple

Kaedan and I went with Jeff and Holly to do baptisms for the dead at the Bountiful Temple.  Kaedan had been before with the young men, but it was my first time.  What an amazing experience!  Thank you for being so diligent in your family history work Holly, and for inviting us along to share in the wonderful experience!

 

When Kaedan and I were driving up the hill approaching the temple we were listening to the radio and the part of the song that came on said 'Gotta get right with the Lord.'  Kaedan and I were just looking at each other and laughing. What a moment!

 

When we got in the temple we realized our recommend didn't have an expiration year on it so it took a bit to get that all cleared up.  Seems like nothing worth having in life comes easy to me, but the important stuff always ends up working out!  =)  So thankful for the gospel in our lives!!

 

We took a couple pictures with our phone really quick as we were leaving the temple.  So beautiful!!

 

Happy 35th Birthday Troy!

We went to Frosted Rock (one of Troy's favorite ice cream places) and had an ice cream Snickers cake (another one of his faves) to celebrate!

Reagan's Born!

Sweet Reagan was born!  So fun to see Kristen with a girl!  And I am so blessed to have so many cute nieces!!  She is beautiful!!  Thank you for letting me be in the room with you guys to experience the amazing journey Kristen!  ;)
