LA here i come!

sian so many things to do.. i think i need to put all down to keep myself reminded... - do demo for scholarship appli - do essay for appli - get testimonial from mrs chua n mr tan, signed, sealed. - check out info for TT which is cheaper - wire transfer $$$ to be done by 29May, speedpost - check if can apply for NAC $$ - housing (no reply!) - financial statement for living expenses in US - copy of passport to be done by 7June, speed! gosh so much $$ to be spent on posting... thank LAMA alot of spending sooo much $$ to send me their stuff on n off...

Things i've learnt:

• USA is not Americas... on the same continent but no... not the same!
• LA is a city in California state, southwest?! of USA
• nearest cool beach i can go to is santo monica and 1 more place forgot.. can see wakeboarding!
• i need a car to drive down to hollywood to par-teh with the stars!

• LAX (the airport) is a horrible airport... not the worst though
• i can help buy loads of Coach and abercromobile and victoria secrets n send back home
• i can work part time in a fusion thai rest
• earning US$100 per day is attainable

• but dun let earning $$ to overtake my practising time
  
• pls let me make it in USA, i would really love to work for film music pepz.. John Williams! or musicials plss....
• then i have enuff contacts to become an agent for Arena, the latest club to be opened in clarke quay, specialised in bringing in foreign acts. (no local acts pls)
• i better bring some nice trendy clothes n bring over for par-teh.. we need to look good too to sell ourselves..

farking bad news...

finally received the latestpackage from LA music academy... and guess wat?! they've changed the 1 yr course to 2 yrs!! im more than happy about tt... but im very worried about the $$$ part... sniff... and they have a minor now! tt's neat but....$$$ =( boohoo... i'll definitely try for the scholarship in the school once m application get thru.. but im guessing it's slim chance of getting it n the closing date for NAC scholarship/bursary/help is nearing.. :'( boohoo.. now then i see... the stupid website never update yet lo... how am i gonna tell my mum about this... i must get the full diploma...no matter wat... and this also means tt i'll definitely miss WMC... coz even if i can skip some modules... i'll be doing the minor program n trying to take up as many electives as i can... including 1 module for conducting.. how neat is tt?! sigh.. all the best MAWO... i had a feeling tt this will happen.. but i didnt guess tt this will be confirmed even b4 i go over to US... boohoo... i must make it there!!!!!

ok.. just to keep things posted, im not going for masters in percussion/music or pursue music degree....

mainly due to the $$$ as well as the time needed for at least another 4-6yrs to finish up the degree/masters... forget it la... not young liao lo...

i'll just be contented to study a full time course in a widely recognised music school over there, gain exposure, see the scene there, absorb the culture, love da people... watched all the musicals i can find(of coz at a cheapo price!) enjoy some drinks at local pubs... headbang at live concerts... get my ass into the recording studios n make something out of it... and if possible, arrange or write my own music somehow or rather... hmm seems like alot of things i wana accomplish over there... pls hope the best for me!! trying for these 2 schools...

i've rather firmly set my eyes on New York University... not only for the masters in performing arts admin, also for the percussion degree, majoring in percussion theater arts... i hope i can do both concurrently... and hopefully skip some general modules.... hopefully i can pass the interview and audition..... =| wish me luck!!!

internship!

heh thanx to py who suggested the Arts House for a place of internship....

also my cousin said her office there can try... during dec or wat.. for 6months internship due to sing arts fest... hmm but she like relunctant for me to go into arts admin leh... sianz.. for my 伟大的理想 to 拯救 local arts scene full of crappy n imbecile(oops) 人渣 i think i need to study arts admin! hahaha

she mentioned this place barbile in london or wat.... famous place like esplanade like tt...

think mayb i'll try arts house 1st later this yr then see how....
