A 5 years old -half balded-boy with his mum, playing and indulging in the world of his own... once in while looks at his mama and said something which only his mom understands.. After few months time, he will know how a "sound" sounds like.. he just had his first coclea implant.. and will have another in months time...
A lady in her 50th, washing and tendering his 10 year old son on bed lying motionless.. she was talking to him.. but the boy was not responding... he doesnt talk.. he cant walk.. cant sit.. doesnt respond.. he'll eat via tube, but he is mainly alive because his heart is still beating..and his hands and feets can still move... he can still smile once in a while out of nothing.. and that old woman have been caring for her son for two whole years in the hospital.... O Allah..grant me the patience of this old woman.
there was another boy.. lying with all tubes.. the ogygen machine still beeping.. and the mother standing worryingly.. I swear there were tears in her eyes .. hoping that the beat won't suddenly stop..
ala kulli haal... i thanked Allah for making us healthy.. I broke into tears just imagining the pain those kids had to endure.. and how patient or strong shall i be if I'm in their shoes.. That was partly my experience during the Read ALoud Session at the paedetric ward last Saturday organized by UMMIKUSAYANG Charity team.. I salute sis Elisa and Sis Filzah in their lively way of reading aloud to children and made them to participate..
Ya Allah.. Alhamdulillah... sungguh sikit syukurku berbanding nikmatMu....
