I love my Cuddly Toys

Supplies used:
The kit is by Aiya of Juicy Bits, and is called Cuddly Christmas.
You can find that HERE.

Tube of choice – I used a poser by Designs by Ali.
You can find those HERE.

Mask of choice - I used sg_starlight-edge by Essex Girl
You can snag that HERE.

My template is available HERE.

Font of choice – I used Fido (set the kerning at -50, used a 3pt outline stroke).

The drop shadow applied to almost everything is 3/-3/70%/6 (on some items I used 60%)
NOTE: After resizing, I apply the Unsharp Mask (Adjust >Sharpness >Unsharp Mask = settings: 2/30/5 (luminous box unchecked).

All set? Let’s go taggin’…

Open a transparent canvas 600 x 500 pixels, or you can use the template as your canvas and build on that. If you use the template – be sure to duplicate (Shift+D) and close the original.

Open Paper06.jpg from the kit. On the layer menu, highlight Shape 1. Selections >select all. Selections >float. Selections >defloat. The marching ants will be around that shape. Copy Paper06 and paste as a new layer on your canvas. Selections >invert >delete. Selections >select none. Apply Drop Shadow to your new raster layer. On the layer menu, delete Shape 1. Close Paper06.

Open Paper08.jpg, resize to 50%. On the layer menu, highlight Shape 2. Selections >select all. Selections >float. Selections >defloat. The marching ants will be around that shape. Copy Paper08 and paste as a new layer on your canvas. Image >rotate >free rotate >15% to the right. Make sure the marching ants are covered by the paper layer. Selections >invert >Delete. Apply Drop Shadow to your new raster layer. Selections >select none. On the layer menu, delete Shape 2. Close Paper08.

Open Paper15.jpg from the kit. On the layer menu, highlight Shape 3. Selections >select all. Selections >float. Selections >defloat. The marching ants will be around that shape. Copy Paper15 and paste as a new layer on your canvas. Selections >invert >delete. Selections >select none. Apply Drop Shadow to your new raster layer. On the layer menu, delete Shape 3. Close Paper15.

On your layer menu, let’s hide the mask layer; and the 3 raster layers you just made. This gives you a clean view of the rectangles frame & lines you need to work with. Highlight rectangles frame. Selections >select all. Selections >float. Selections >defloat. The marching ants will be around that shape. Choose the dark red color from the kit (#691817) as your foreground color. Select your paint brush (square or round / size 15-20 / hardness-opacity 100%) and paint the rectangles (inside the marching ants), or you can use Bucket fill. Selections >select none. Apply Drop Shadow.

On the layer menu, highlight the Upper line. Selections >select all. Selections >float. Selections >defloat. Still using the dark red color, paint or fill that. Selections >select none. Repeat this step on the Lower line. Choose the cream color from the kit (#fffcef), and set this as your background color. Using the same steps, color these two thin lines. Apply the drop shadow to all lines.

Open Paper02.jpg. Highlight the fill layer on the menu. Selections >select all. Selections >float. Selections >defloat. The marching ants will be around all three rectangles. Copy Paper02 and paste as a new layer on your canvas. Selections >invert >delete. Selections >select none. Delete the old fill layer & rename this one.

Open Candy Cane01 and Candy Cane02 (or your choice). Resize to 40%. Adjust >Sharpness >Unsharp Mask settings: 2/30/5 (luminous box unchecked). Mirror one so that it faces opposite and Copy & paste these onto your canvas. On the layer menu, move the candy canes so they are below the fill layer. Apply drop shadows to both canes.

Open your tube (if you use this poser, you need to resize her to 60%). Copy & paste to your canvas. Adjust >Sharpness >Unsharp Mask settings: 2/30/5 (luminous box unchecked).

Open your choice of stuffed animals ( I used Little Bear01; Cuddly Santa; Snowman & Pengiun). Choose 2 or 3 items to fit into the rectangle frames, and a couple to place on the floor by her feet. It’s your choice. Each toy will need to be resized, so I keep my canvas view at 100% and place the opened toy window in front. By adjusting the view zoom on the toy – you can get an idea how to resize each toy. Let’s take the santa, for an example. I zoomed to 30% and that looked right, so I resized at 30% (smart size) and applied the unsharp mask, then copied & pasted to the canvas. That is a good size, so I applied a drop shadow and moved him to a good spot. If you don’t like the sizing – it can be easy undone and adjusted. Just remember to apply the unsharp mask after resizing. Apply drop shadows to your toys.

Open HeartString.png. Resize to 50%. Copy & paste to your canvas and place to the left side of the rectangle frames, like it is attached to the upper line. Sharpen with unsharp mask. Apply drop shadow.

If you used the red mask layer provided with the template, you will have a different look. If you want to use the light green, set #909e7a as your foreground color. Open the mask and reduce on your workspace. Layers >new raster layer. Fill with your color. Layers >new mask layer >from image. Select sg_starlight-edge, with invert checked. I resized the mask layer a bit (90%).

Apply the desired text. Apply drop shadow.
Apply credits for poser or tube, and your info. Then merge all layers, resize if desired (I chose 500 x 417) and apply unsharp mask. Save.

Done!! I hope you enjoy your tag and the kit.

Fall Flower Fae

This is a simple tag made using PSP 9.
No plug-ins are needed.

Supplies used:
The kit is by Micki of Heaven Dreams, and is called Autumn Colors.
You can find that HERE, and it is available in both tagger and full sizes.

Tube of choice – I used a poser by Lisa of Sophisticated Scraps.
You can find those HERE.

Mask of choice - I used Narah_mask_Esfera001
You can snag that HERE.

Font of Choice, I used a curly one.

Let’s get taggin!!

Open a new canvas 700 x 700, white.

Open HD_autumn_colors_frame_08, resize to approx 540-550 pixels wide.
Copy and paste as a new layer.

Open HD_autumn_colors_35.png, resize to approx 220 pixels wide.
Copy and paste as a new layer. Move the leaf cluster to a position above the top of the frame so the leaves are on the outside of the frame, but the clip would be covered by it. See picture insert (image 4.jpg).

Now duplicate this and flip – you should now have one at the top and one at the bottom of your frame. Merge the two clusters. Duplicate and rotate 45 degrees right. Duplicate again & rotate. Do this until you have a circle (4 layers). Merge those 4 layers to form your leaf circle.

On your layer menu, reposition the frame layer so that it is above the leaf circle. You may have to adjust the placement of the frame so that all the clips will be invisible (see image 5.jpg).

Now toggle the leaf circle to be invisible and using your magic wand (tolerance set to 25). Select the inside of the frame and the places shown in the photo (image 6.jpg) in a light blue. Modify selection> expand by 2. Toggle the leaf circle to visible, select that layer and hit delete. Selections> Select none. Your canvas should look like this (image7.jpg).

On the layer menu, select the leaf circle layer:
Adjust> sharpness> unsharp mask> radius 3; strength 15; clipping 5.

Open HD_autumn_colors_paper1.jpg and resize to 700x700 pixels. Copy and paste as a new layer. Apply your mask. Delete the mask layer, answer "yes" to the pop-up question, and merge group. Resize to 90%. On your layer menu, move below your leaf circle. Image> mirror.

Apply drop shadow to both the frame and the leaf circle. These are the settings I used (image 8.jpg) but you can select your own.

Open the tube of choice. Duplicate (shift+D) and close your original. Copy and paste as a new layer. Position so that the top is slightly above the frame, so that it appears your image is popping out. Duplicate the layer and toggle the layer link so they move as one image. Move one below the frame but above the leaf circle. Apply a drop shadow to the one below. On the top tube layer, erase any parts over the frame. See image 9 & 10.

Open HD_autumn_colors_22.png (tag). Image> mirror. Image> free rotate> 35 degrees left. Resize to approx 248 pixels wide. Copy and paste as a new layer. On your layer menu move layer below frame. Apply drop shadow.

Open HD_autumn_colors_77.png (bow). Resize to approx 180 pixels wide. Copy and paste as a new layer. Adjust> hue & saturation> colorize. Hue 255; saturation 70. This should match the ribbon on the frame. On your layer menu, move the bow below the tube but above the frame. Apply drop shadow.

Select a dark color from frame or tag (I used the nuts) and add your name on the tag, and give it a light drop shadow. Add the tube copyright info, license info (if applicable), poser info and your tagger’s watermark.

Crop image to 645 x 645 pixels and merge all layers (flatten).
Resize the canvas to 500 x 500 (or desired size). Adjust> sharpness> unsharp mask> radius 3; strength 15; clipping 5.

Finished!!! Not too difficult, eh?
I hope you enjoy your tag.
