great time catching up with Shauna yesterday.. real friends whom we can all be real with each other.. love it..

it's gonna be a quiet new year celebration for me this year.. most of the time i spend new year outside.. like watching fireworks.. jostling in the crowd.. having a drink or two..

this year however, im going to church for the watchnight service at 10pm-12+mn! =)

sent Yuanz off last night.. was quite a touching scene.. haha.. lazy to type here.. but is definitely etched into my heart forever :D

but went home feeling really empty.. was totally dreading my teachers' meeting today.. i guess cos there was alot of fear in me.. not wanting to know what is in store for me in the new year.. trying to avoid reality..

my teaching stint from sept this year isnt really smooth sailing.. ive still got so much to learn.. especially in classroom management.. having sent to teach with NO training at all.. it was tough.. so this kinda put in lots of fear, anxiety and dread in me..

but i know that God has good things in store for me next year.. during the full-day meeting today, i could feel so much of God's favor on me.. my timetable is good! im teaching Music and CME.. supposed to teach english too cos of lack of manpower.. but my HOD told me they managed to get 5 english relief teachers.. so im off the hook!

the teacher that im sharing my form class with is fun to work with!! im assigned to a sec 1 form class.. was kinda relieved when i saw this.. i feel as if it's God telling me.. "here, i give you a fresh new start. brand new class of students who are new to the school. love them like ive loved you. forget all about the mistakes you have done with your previous classes. start anew."

felt so loved.. i'll be kept really busy.. mixing around with the sec 1 parents and all during the upcoming 3-day sec 1 orientation camp.. but i know it's all going to be so good.. God has given me a fresh new lease of life!!

it's EARLY sunday morning.. came home from yuan's place not long before.. spent most of my saturday there with mich and nad.. baked muffins!! watched Titanic.. and watched yuan and her mum pack.. it's gonna be sooo hard to say goodbye tml.. :( shall not say it then.. will say "SEE YOU" instead.. :D

Friday was spent with yuan, nad and mich too.. woke from our SLEEPover.. had breakfast.. and did lame videos with my carebears.. well.. THEY did the lame stuff.. i was the videographer.. haha.. slacked around.. then we headed to ikea.. long time since i had my meatballs!! walked around.. THEY bought random stuff.. haha.. den mich drove us all home.. love her to bits manx..

so that was friday and saturday in a nutshell.. for sunday.. which is later.. gonna go to church early to get tics for 3rd svc with cg.. den stay for 4th too with mich and fel.. afterwhich we'll go to the airport to have dinner and send yuan off.. awwww...

a Christmas to remember...

CG Christmas Party at Amy's BF's condo.. we had a cosy bbq/games/gift exchange/fellowship session.. it was really good.. we were all relaxed.. even me.. quite surprised by myself.. cos normally i'd be on my toes whereever/whenever Coach is around.. sharing time together is what i love most :D

we ended about 11pm.. and i cabbed down to Esplanade to meet OOTGR!! miss all of them loads.. yuan, fel, amanda, sheena is leaving for exchange for about half a year.. played games.. exchanged gifts.. i totally win the lamest gift award manx!! haha..

den we headed to Chomp Chomp for supper.. drank a HUGE cup of sugarcane drink each.. apparently we were so so thirsty from all the laughing.. haha.. chilled till about 2+am.. den mich drove us home.. was so dangerous lar!! cos she was so tired.. we took breaks every now and then to sleep a while.. oh manx.. i was wide awake though.. zzz..

24/12/08 Wednesday
woke early to go to dental centre to remove my stitches.. so much food was stuck in the holes where my wisdom teeth were.. so the doc gave me this syringe with needle and told me to flush the area after every meal.. love the doc manx.. he's so farnie!! he even remembered i brought my carebear when i was warded at SGH and he asked why i din bring my carebear!! HAHA!!

headed down to Orchard to meet my mum for lunch and slack around after that.. den headed to Clarke Quay to meet Chee Min and Hui Li.. slacked, stared at the dirty river, ate Hokkaido icecream which melted SO FAST.. i made a mess.. haha..

walked to esplanade.. watched scenery.. wrote on the wish balls.. played guitar.. slacked somemore.. den headed to marina to look for dinner.. decided on thai express.. they had this tomyam steamboat which i was so tempted to get but didnt.. so we ate.. chatted.. shopped..

decided to buy a logcake for my family.. was quite late already.. so many places were sold out.. finally managed to get it at BreadTalk.. so CheeMin and HuiLi left.. was about 11pm by then.. i waited at RafflesCity Starbucks for my parents to reach the club.. cos i was in berms which isnt allowed.. so mum brought it down for me..

we had Sparkling Wine at the Lounge at SRC.. 13.0%.. quite high alcohol content.. dad got drunk quite quickly.. mum and i were good.. haha.. so i drove home.. cos mum said it's the festive season sure got alot of road blocks and dad is bound to fail the alcohol test.. HAHA..

reached home very late.. super tired from the consecutive late nights and early mornings..

25/12/08 Thursday (today)
supposed to join Huili at BPMC for service.. but i really really couldnt wake up.. service was at 1030.. i woke at 11.. lolz.. so had breakfast with parents at Joo Chiat instead.. headed to park at the club after.. then walked.. Clarke Quay - Boat Quay - Fullerton - Esplanade - Marina - home.

took lotsa pics.. will post them on facebook ONE DAY.. wrote on the wish ball at Esplanade again.. lolz.. brought my parents for dinner at Thai Express AGAIN.. and i had my tomyam steamboat!! YEA!! lolz..

am home now.. quite early.. mich, yuan, nad coming over to sleepover later!! then zoo early in the morning tml!! so exciting!! :D

combined youth xmas bash last night was awesome.. too lazy to blog details.. some other time.. haha.. had dinner with the CG at siam kitchen after.. and Coach treated us to desserts/icecream at swensens..

today's combined english svc at indoor stadium was excellent too.. so glad mich managed to wake up and go!! :D:D havent seen ying ling for quite long.. she has some family matters yep.. but so glad to see her today!! especially that big, tight hug after svc!! such a dear sister to me..

feeling really lazy to blog details.. but i really loved this weekend :D

yes it's almost 3am on a friday night/saturday morning..

met Chee Min and her friend, Isabel at town.. saw the Church's float.. had dinner.. shopped, took pics with all the pretty pretty xmas lightings/deco along orchard road.. walked all the way to PS..

den took a train back to pasir ris to meet Hui Li for a movie at downtown east.. Twilight 1150pm!! nice movie.. but she says the book is nicer.. im only 1/3 thru.. hA.. not counting the other 3 bks of the series waiting for me on the shelf.. haha..

kinda late.. but im not feeling tired.. lolz.. gonna meet the cg at 12pm at suntec to make props for our combined youth xmas bash at 3pm at church.. lala.. eggciting..

Women's meeting today was totally awesome!! spent almost 12hrs at church.. lol.. but it was time well spent in the house of God indeed..

Pauline shared with us about Loving Relationships.. Coach Joanne shared about Communicating with Grace.. den we had a combined svc with the Men.. Pastor Benjamin preached..

the whole event was truly anointed.. everyone teared, cried.. soft/sore spots were touched.. healed.. praise God..

great time just hanging out with kingdom friends.. sisters and brothers in Christ.. wow.. totally love it..

had a fun time catching up, chatting with friends and Coach.. everyone was quite amazed and shocked by the stories and bruises i had from the surg.. haha.. den had late lunch after our shift.. den headed up to 4th svc.. met huili finally! she's back from her aussie trip.. so long!! haha..

after svc me and huili went to haji lane.. she shisha-ed while i ate wedges.. couldnt finish of course.. haha.. break record manx.. eat solid food so soon.. haha.. but mouth really tired now..

elaine and darrell asked me to join them for worship jamming tml.. dunno if i shld go.. i want to!! but i oso wanna go shop with my mum.. tml see how..

im home!! stayed at SGH for 3days 2nights.. im in love with the nurses and the care they gave me!! checking my temp and BP every few hrs.. even at night.. though they kinda disrupted all our sleep.. haha!!

was quite freaked before my surg.. nurses came to wake me early at 5am on friday morning.. bathed.. changed into my surg gown.. wore it wrongly haha.. den this nurse came to help me wear (paiseh no.1).. cos i wasnt allowed to wear anything underneath.. LOL.

wait for the OT to call.. den they wheeled me to the OT.. i was lying on the bed.. wad an experience manx.. everyone staring.. was about 730am this time..

reached the OT, transferred bed.. i didnt hafta move during all these bed changing lolz.. high tech.. haha.. surg nurse checked identity.. blood pressure.. was freezing inside.. oh put on hair net.. lolz..

after these checks, transferred bed again.. to the 'inner room' of the OT area.. doctors attended to me this time.. moved to this prep room just before the actual OT.. met 2 females docs.. who removed my surg gown while i was still lying down.. of course they kept me covered lar.. (paiseh no.2) and course it's so cold, they had this tube that blows warm air put under my thick layer of blanket..

but of course by this time im kinda too freaked to feel too paiseh lar.. hA.. den dey started to stick stuff all over my body.. waited for anaesthetist to come.. poked here poked there to try to get my vein on my wrists.. left hand totally blue-black already..

was so freaked i kinda teared.. so he said.. nvm.. push me into the actual OT put me to sleep first.. BIG lights on top and all.. just like in those doctor tv shows.. haha.. oh transferred bed AGAIN.. lol..

there, another female anaesthetist came and comforted me.. she checked my right wrist.. tada.. done!! by this time i was crying already.. haha.. she so sweet wiped my tears.. HAHA.. (paiseh no.3)

so.. put under GA.. was super cool lar.. injected drugs to my vein n breathed gas.. but they din ask me to countdown lei.. prob cos they see me so freaked.. haha..

so after the surg, was woken up by surg nurses calling my name SO LOUDLY at the recovery room.. still at the OT area.. mouth swollen like crazy.. biting a HUGE piece of surgical cloth or something.. lolz.. nx door got another person being screamed upon oso.. haha!!

so got wheeled back to my ward.. was about 1230pm.. still groggy groggy.. nurse said im not allowed to leave my bed.. need to go toilet must tell them.. so naturally, i CONTROLLED.. haha.. kept going to sleep.. nurses keep coming to check.. did so many bp tests and temp..

then later when im nt so groggy already this nurse came to help me dress into my hosp uniform.. tot i could do it myself.. but my hands and legs totally not listening to me lar.. so yea.. thank the nurse for her help.. (paiseh no. 4)

so spent another night there after the surg.. under the loving care of the nurses.. had some fever today.. so couldnt get discharged at the normal time of 1pm.. stayed half more day.. so im home sweet home now!!

had so much 'difficulty' saying goodbye to the nurses.. loved them! knowing that you are well taken care of.. even in the dead of the night.. unlike my doctors.. whom i only see every morning and evening.. haha.. but they were awesome too!!

wow.. so much love in the air.. :D

parents and bro just left the hospital.. glad to have their company.. even though it was only for a short while..

reached the hospital at 130pm.. but only got to my bed at 330pm.. lolz.. have been slacking since.. thank God there's internet connection.. spent most of the afternn watching ANTM on youtube..

many doctors came.. cant keep track.. ha.. my op is at 830am tml.. no food and water from 12mn.. praying that all goes well.. no side effects/risks in Jesus' name amen!!

feeling quite.. hmm.. let's just say the hospital is too quiet at night.. actly it's not that late either.. hmmz..

omg.. it's wednesday already!! this few days passed very fast..

monday was supposed to be sentosa with nus cluster.. but cos it rained the whole day, we spent the whole day at Vivo instead.. chilled, bumped around, movie, dinner, worship under the stars!! was super cool.. got to talk to and get to know more pple outside my cg.. :D

tues i had teaching at home till 245pm.. den headed to Central (Clarke Quay) to meet Faith, CHee MIn, Ying Ling for shopping and dinner at Manhattan..

today.. is slack with mum day.. woke up at 1130am.. went to tampines to meet Gracia to take my baby guitar back.. den tampines mall with mum to shop, lunch, shop, tea.. and now back home..

bought an Adidas windbreaker for my hospital stay.. LOL.. they had this promo going on.. u put ur hand in this box and pick a ball.. white balls 10% off, Orange 20% and Blue 30%.. so i said a lil funny prayer and took out an orange ball!! so cool!! mum put her hand in, took out a HANDFUL of balls.. and they were ALL white!! praise God manx!! He can be so funny at times!! lolz..

anw.. gonna be admitted to SGH tml le.. quite apprehensive.. cos seems like everyone i know who has went for wisdom teeth surgery didnt have to stay overnight at the hospital.. why do i need to? hmmz..

but i know it's all gonna be good lar.. im in good hands!! and Daddy will be there with me toO! taking care of me and making sure that i get the best of everything!! praise God :D

and im so gonna get home on friday itself after the op.. im so not gonna stay a 2nd night at the hospital.. no way!! lolz..

so.. unless there's wireless in the ward, u'll not see me online till im back home.. till then!! :D

another great day.. headed to church early to get tics for 3rd with Gracia and Cheemin.. had lunch den chilled at Sky Garden.. taught them the new song from church on the guitar.. they're fast learners!!

went for an awesome 3rd service.. den headed to starbucks for more chilling and guitar playing with cg present.. haha.. gracia, cheemin, yeelian, jialing.. after a while all left, leaving me and gracia.. played somemore.. den headed to millenia starbucks to meet gracia's other friends.. chilled.. den i left to meet my parents for dinner..

home now.. breakfast with family tml.. den sentosa with nus cluster!! coolest.. dinner with yingling and faith on tuesday nite.. wednesday's free for now.. and then it's thursday already.. gotta get admitted to SGH.. :( :( :(

Happy Birthday Mum!!

yes it's mum's bdae.. gave her part 1 of the present this morning.. a very meaningful and touching (haha!) bookmark i bought from a Christian bookshop..

den we went out.. bought her a diamond bracelet which she chose.. now we're home.. waiting for dad to come home from work and we're going to the seafood restaurant at east coast for dinner..

did all these.. while im having MAJOR cramps and all.. cant believe i actually survived a whole day out.. normally i'd be curled up in bed hoping to die.. HAHA..

i went for my 2nd servers/leaders meeting last night.. Pastor Henry again.. as usual, he's awesome!! i still havent set aside time to re-feed on the verses he shared about.. totally procrastinating..

went for my pre-admission tests at SGHG today.. met my ex-colleagues at the lab!! took blood, ECG, and met my anaethetist.. he told me freaky stuff lar.. how i'll have tubes put through my nose cos i will not be able to breathe on my own under GA.. and telling me not to struggle as it'll be quite uncomfortable.. will only remove after im awake a while.. oh manx.. zzz.. and wad intravenous stuff.. zzz..

surgery's next friday.. but will be warded on thursday afternoon.. i really hope i can be discharged on friday after the surgery.. but chances are really slim.. sigheth.. i wanna go for the last caregroup meeting of the year!!!! sigh sigh sigh!!
