it feels like it's already past midnight.. even though it's only like 930pm.. lolz..

Today was A Time To Shine 2!!

we met at 745am Commonwealth station.. den headed down to New Town Primary together.. had briefing by Coach Maddy.. ended with prayer.. then we met up with our buddy for the day!! shortly after, we took the coach down to changi airport T3!!

my kid was a primary 2 girl, JieYing.. super cute.. was super shy at first.. den she met this other friend, Cathy.. who was super hyperactive and quite 'straightforward', domineering and blah blah.. and the 2 of them kinda started to wreck havoc.. so me and Jofid (a fellow cg member) who was in charge of Cathy had to like run after them and stuff.. arh..

this Cathy.. she couldnt be convinced that i was a girl.. sigheth.. she was like screaming (she never speaks in the normal volume) how i can bring them to the ladies when im a guy.. LOL.. Jofid and I were like explaining, firstly, a girl cannot be named Jasmine, and a girl can also have short hair.. lolz.. but she just couldnt be convinced..

until.... when she was practically begging me (screaming) to push her on the airport trolley, i made her promise that we'd only go 1 round.. and she gotta call me jiejie from then on.. haha.. she kept her promise!! lolz..

so anwz.. the whole day was spent walking around the airport.. mainly terminal 3, but we did take the skytrain to terminal 1, walk around then took it back to terminal 3.. we showed the kids all the different parts of the airport.. control tower, arrival, departure halls.. explaining to them the functions of luggage weighing machine, conveyor belt, check-in counter.. and many many others la.. hahaz.. and we played many games too.. right smack at the middle of random places in the airport.. totally throw face.. haha..

headed back to New Town Primary at 4 plus.. and there were performances by some of the kids.. and then goody bag presentations to the kids.. consisting of a new pair of school shoes and stationery and storybooks..

cos these kids are under-privileged.. meaning they come from very low-income families, have studying difficulties, behavioral problems, broken families, or some having family members in jail or rehabilation centres..

so this event is held annually to bring JOY to these kids!!

i am so so glad that i took part.. this is my very 1st event with new creation church.. nt the main church.. but Arrow side.. the 'older' youths side.. yea.. super fun.. though i did feel awkward at times.. but it was all well.. haha.. quite sad that i cannot join them for the upcoming Arrow Church Camp.. ohwells.. there's always a next time!!

oh and to explain what i mentioned at the start of this entry.. why i felt like it's past midnight already when it's nt.. well.. quite obvious isnt it.. totally shagged by running up and down changi airport trying to look after and entertain the kids whose energy level pratically remained high the whole time.. lolz..

when the cg met in the morning, we were like quite onz.. a bit blurry cos it was so early.. but the energy level was still there.. but when we came back from the airport and made the kids settle down to watch the performances, the cg was like sitting behind 'nua-ing' already.. haha..

had dinner at long john silvers.. chatted abit.. then all headed home.. did i mention how glad i am that the cg consist of quite a number of pple living in the east.. meaning that ive got kakis on the trip home.. lolz..

ok im going to nua already.. legs, knees, thighs.. all aching.. lolz..

yesterday wrapped up my roughly 2yrs of teaching for lowrey music school.. was told to join them back when i can.. hahaz..

anw.. piano lesson didnt go too well today.. we spent some time on chopin waltz in c sharp minor.. and spent a whole lot of time on the fantasie impromptu.. had to do tons of repeats.. sigheth.. totally draining..

after that, settled admin stuff with the office.. den headed to downtown east for The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, with karen.. great show!! afterwhich we met up with yingling for dinner at pastamania followed by fellowship.. :)

tml.. it's A Time To Shine!! organised by my church.. to bring under-privileged kids from New Town Primary School to the airport for sightseeing, fun and games!! haha.. feeling quite apprehensive about how things will turn out.. but im excited! woohoo!!

gotta have an early night tonite.. slept only 5 hrs last nite.. gotta wake up super early tml to meet the cg at commonwealth station at 7plus.. and i need all the energy i have for tml :)

today is my last lesson with my wednesday students at lowrey.. was so so touched to read those lil messages on the gifts.. it's never easy to say goodbye huh.. gotta say another round of goodbyes tml.. sigheth..

anw.. i shld really get down to business in preparing for my violin accompaniment pieces.. 22 pieces in all.. i did play a few here and there.. but didnt sit down and practise.. sigheth..

and not forgetting the endless pieces i gotta work on for mstan.. sigheth.. 3 chopin waltzes, fantasie impromptu, 2 JS Bach prelude & fugue, and dunno wad.. lolz.. seriously.. 24hrs a day nt enough..

michelle went to church with me yesterday!! so so glad!! michelle, must keep coming back k?? i can feel that you are very at home at the church!! and very comfortable with all the people!! keep coming!!

was a super super awesome day yesterday.. i feel super blessed to have such great kingdom friends around.. yep.. the only regret i have is not having known Him earlier..

came home last nite and watched the charity show for the szechuan earthquake.. the stories they shared were so, so heart-wrenching.. 2 stories caught me and made me tear..

there was this mom who was kneeling and protecting her baby child.. she died saving her baby child.. the child survived.. and a handphone with a msg on it was found on the baby.. the msg read: 亲爱的宝贝，如果你能活着，一定要记住我爱你。

wow.

another story most pple probably wun remember, but somehow it also made me tear..

there was this man who was buried under rubble.. stuck, but alive. rescuers tried their utmost best to get him out.. during this time, he was saying that he's got his wife and children at home.. he will keep awake and survive so that he can continue to work and feed the family.. after more than 10hrs i think, he was finally rescued!! for a moment, i thought, yea! finally a happy story! but he died shortly after.. in the ambulance or in the hospital i cant really remember..

sigheth.. so many students and teachers died in this quake.. youths.. like you and me.. this show made me think.. i had so many questions in my mind.. thanks to yl who helped me in this.. hmm..

we are so blessed to be living in safe Singapore.. we are so blessed to be living today with this awesome Daddy God of ours who is watching over us 24/7.. and with all our kingdom friends.. who can ask for more?

today was....... THE ZONE!!!!!!

Hillsong United was awesome!! the atmosphere was awesome!! the crowd was awesome!! everything about it was just.. awesome!!

hahaz.. very limited vocab i know.. but all of the above, i only felt them like after the preaching by pastor benjamin.. i took super long to get used to the whole thing.. cos im like so not a 'crowd person'.. and everybody was like jumping about..

but but!! i got into it in the 2nd half..

im so glad!! Daddy, thank You for all You've done for me!! teach me, lead me, guide me!! rid me of self!! it's You im living for!! not the world, not my self, but YOU!!

i think it's the very 1st time i was so absorbed in the worship.. praising Daddy God.. losing self.. overwhelming emotions..

im on a total adrenaline high now.. so many thank you(s) i gotta say to so many pple.. first and foremost to Daddy God of course.. and then to my earthly sherpherd who "brought" me there as i was so against attending it in the 1st place.. arh.. so so many pple.. God knows.. and He will bless them for me :)

today's cg was great!! everything's great when Daddy God is in our presence.. amen!! full of worship, fellowshipping, sharing, fun, joy and laughter!! hahaz..

tml's the zone!! cant believe im actually going.. omg omg omg!! lolz.. i actually succumbed to their persuasions? lolz.. wellz.. since they're all so hyped up about it, im kinda feeling it too! haahz..

oh wellz.. gt 5 straight hrs of teaching to get over with in the morning first.. lala..

excellent day today, and i believe, an even better day tml!! hahaz..

oh and i really need to find time to sit down and do my QT.. a time of silence and solidarity..

p.s. i went on the kiddy ferris wheel at downtown east today.. with jeryl of course.. mum didnt dare to take, so i had to babysit jeryl on that wheel.. LOL.. quite fun.. but a lil nt worth the $$ la..

ok here i am home safe and sound.. hahaz..

all i can say about this morning was, we were 3 lazy bums lar!! haha.. endless alarms and snoozes.. finally mich had to leave around 9am to meet her choir peeps to settle their russia trip stuff.. so me and yuan continued sleeping..

we slept till 11 plus.. when nad/mich called yuan to say that they were coming and we are going out for lunch.. haha.. so yuan and i quickly washed up.. lolz.. had lunch at thai express.. then went back to the house to slack, watch sister act II.. afterwhich mich and yuan went to swim at SGCC while the rest of us slacked..

they gotta leave for choir prac after that, so mich's mum who just returned from her hols, sent me to the 53 busstop and then fetched them to school..

when i got off the car, the 1st thing that overwhelmed me was.. loneliness.. sigheth.. i recall how we used to travel to choir together.. but now it's just them.. and me alone doing my thing.. luckily 53 came almost immediately.. i boarded and quickly took out my mp3 and listened to worship songs.. calmed me down a lil.. yeah!

i know and trust that Daddy God has got great plans for me. but sometimes i just cant help but feel so.. down and aimless.. hmm.. really gotta start feeding on the word and not let my faith be shaken mans.. :x

ok on a lighter note, i really cant believe i actually agreed to go to the Zone!! hahaz.. all thanks to my shepherd that really persuaded me and got me a ticket and simple refused to let me pay for it.. and told me that i should really learn to just receive.. from Daddy God and whoever.. lolz.. cant wait for it this saturday! hahaz..

and, and i still cant get over the fact that i really met all those pastors up close and personal at the airport last nite!! like really LATE last night!! not everyone has the chance to bump into them outside church.. but i had the honour to.. and i didnt cherish it and go up and talk to them!! argh!! full of regrets man..

it's around 3am in the morning on vesak day, and guess where i am? at michelle's place.. OMG.. ok i must describe my whole day..

started teaching in the morning, went home for lunch and slack a while. was going to attend 4th with yingling and yuyan instead of the usual 3rd with the cg.. cos yingling was serving at arrow counter.. yep..

so i had some time to spare before leaving home for suntec.. dad fetched me to pasir ris mrt.. took train down, was quite early, so dropped by starbucks for mocha first.. met up with yuyan, then svc!! haha.. msg was good yep!!

after that had dinner with yl and yuyan, then fellowship till about 10 with the 2 of them.. cool session it was :)

took train home with yl, then when i was at pasir ris interchange waiting for my bus home, mich called.. asking me for supper with her and yuan at airport.. guess what.. i immediately cabbed down!! hahaz.. that was crazy thing no. 1.

at the airport, stupid mich saw me at a distance, but gave me stoopid directions to her.. like turn right, left, left, right.. wadeva.. lolz.. so, crazy thing no.2.

we headed to Ya Kun for some light snacks.. and guess who we bumped into there!! Pastor Prince, Pastor Benjamin, Pastor Mark, Pastor Darren and their families!! wives and kids.. sitting right beside us!! yep.. yuyan and yl told me to go say hi and take picture.. but courage failed me.. arh!! quite sad.. lolz..

so, mich suddenly had a crazy idea to go stayover at her place.. took some time to really decide.. cos it was really.. CRAZY.. lolz.. by then it was already like 12plus 1am..

we decided to go ahead with plan.. LOL.. mich drove us each to our place to pack some clothes and off we go!! haha.. crazy thing no. 3.

so now, here we are, yuan and i at mich's room.. watching SNGS life skills centre opening ceremony on vcd.. i appeared on tv!! ask for my autograph yea!! hahaz..

feeling a lil tired now.. haha.. blog more when i reach home later today.. lolz..

today's arrow svc was awesome!!

im the chosen one!! Daddy chose me to be His beloved child!! it's no coincidence!! Mstan brought me to church, but ultimately, it was Daddy who really brought me close to Him!!

Pastor also preached about fear of rejection, shyness, self-consciousness.. and much more.. just that i cant really recall all of them now.. hahaz..

and yingling has really persuaded me to go to The Zone at the max pavillion next saturday.. wellz she already got me a ticket.. when it's like sold out! lolz.. really, what to do without a shepherd huh.. we will just be lost sheep idling around.. yep..

TGIF!! as usual, gonna have piano in the morning, teaching private a couple of hrs in the early afternoon, meeting yingling and winnie for bible study in the mid to late afternoon, followed by cg at night :)

2 more weeks of teaching at elias cc.. gonna miss my students sooo much.. they're gonna miss me too lolz.. but oh wellz.. it's all for the greater good huh..

as ive mentioned, i didnt go to teach today. instead i went to meet up with my cg at Kallang mrt and took the shuttle down to the indoor stadium for our combined service!!

today's service was just so excellent! i could totally feel the presence of God, how the anointing is there.. there was a tribute to israel at the start, followed by praise & worship, then the message.. today's praise & worship was just so.. cool.. haha.. pardon me for my lack of vocab..

after the service, all the pastors had this song item for senior pastor prince's birthday, which is on 15th May.. he was saying how 5 is the number of grace, and God let him be born on this day for a reason.. yep.. oh and the whole congregation sang him birthday song.. haha how cool is that!

after the service, when the cg was hanging around outside waiting for nothing as usual, haha, i bumped into mstan and her bf!! how coincidental, everytime i go to church, i never fail to meet them.. church is so big and yet.. lolz..

anwz, headed down to macs to wait for my parents to pick me up.. dropped by simlim square to get my PSP!!!!!! ive been considering for the longest time if i shld get one.. and i just couldnt resist it after bro got one for himself!! haha..

bro got the limited edition red coloured one.. so i decided to get the mint green one after much thinking and looking.. lolz!! afterwhich we headed down to the club to swim, then had mum's day dinner..

bro just helped me put games inside my PSP.. im so gonna start playing right NOW.. haha..

wow im home really early on a caregroup night..

it was definitely a fulfilling day for me.. piano lesson in the morning with mstan, followed by teaching at my place, and finally meeting the caregroup peeps at whitesands at 430pm..

today's caregroup was super fun!! cos the nus pple just finished their exams, they wanted some activity to chill out.. and praise God, Coach Maddy's parents booked this bungalow near pasir ris park..

so we met at pasir ris mrt at 430pm, walked around, bought some drinks, then we headed down to the bungalow.. wow the place is AWESOME.. haha.. we left our bags there then we went to the park.. played the playground.. super hilarious.. then we rented bikes for 2hrs..

afterwhich, we went back to the bungalow to wash up, have dinner.. by then it's about 9plus.. we had caregroup proper.. today's topic is about treasuring our mums, just like how Jesus treasured his earthly mother, even when He was suffering on the cross.. then we shared about 1 event in which we should be thankful for our mums..

i kinda shared some really personal stuff, and im so thankful for Coach Maddy, who really saw through me and gave me some really excellent advice.. and of course to the rest of my caregroup too..

so caregroup proper ended about 11pm.. and the rest were comtemplating whether they shld stayover.. no one brought any toiletries.. so.. haha.. but their final decision was to stayover la.. like duh! the place is so spectacular!!

but i gotta go home!! sobz!! cos im teaching tml.. how sad is that manx.. but Coach was very nice.. she said it was too dark for me to go home by myself.. even though i live quite near.. so she had her cousin drive me right to my doorstep.. haha.. the convo in the car with Coach and her cousin was.. good :)

im so gonna take leave on sunday.. to attend combined service at indoor stadium at 10am.. seriously, how can i miss a week not attending service, to worship and praise our heavenly Father who is so great and awesome, and of course, to listen to the anointed preaching of the word of God!!

and i think it shouldnt be a problem making up the lesson for my sunday students.. so.. yep! ive decided, im gonna call them tml to tell them to celebrate mum's day on sunday instead of coming for lesson!! haha..

thank you Daddy, for this awesome day. to be able to fellowship with kingdom friends, to share our lives with each other, to know and learn more about You each day. I am so blessed. I am Your beloved child. amen.

recently ive been doing something really bad.. like i was putting You to the test..

i tried to get You out of my mind.. but i realised that i cant!! it's like You have become part of me.. I cant just pick You up and cast You aside!! every little thing that i do, i keep thinking of You.. You have become part of my subconscious.. i tried to recall how it was like last year.. when i didnt have You.. but i cant!!

a part of me felt fear.. like what is seriously happening to me.. what did i get myself into..

but another part felt.. ultimate bliss.. knowing that there is another being in me.. accompanying me in every step i take..

happy labour day!!

ive got no plans for today.. so will prob hang out with parents.. go to the club for a swim and stuff.. time to reeelax!!

woke up early for macs breakfast just now.. dad's giving maths tuition.. will head out after he's done.. in the meantime, i gotta do some prep for cg tml..

fulfilling day ahead tml!! piano in the morning, then going out with yl.. going to tecman at bugis.. some christian bookstore.. to check out some books.. durh! lolz.. then going for bridget's cg at night.. woohoo.. im loving it!
