ok.. this is one of the very few weekends that im free from teaching!!! yea mans.. must get some of my life back..

met jiaying, cheryl, jiajun @ tampines @ 10am today.. all mstan's students.. watched Night At The Museum.. good show!! very farnie.. hA.. after the show we took a train down to Orchard.. went TAKA.. bought DeathNote comics from Kinokuniya.. den went to the library upstairs.. cheryl borrowed some books.. den after that walked down to PS.. chilled..

wanted to look for a lan shop.. so walk somemore to The Cathay.. ate.. den walk to Dhoby Ghaut MRT supposedly on our way home cos cheryl gotta meet her parents.. and guess wad.. there's a lan shop at dhoby ghaut mrt.. and an arcade.. lol.. anihows.. looked around.. den took train back..

supposed to meet parents at SRC.. budden when we reached city hall, i called them and they were still at home.. so i sian le.. decided to go home and slack.. so that's why im HERE.. on a weekend which i dun needa teach.. damn slack la.. saturdays i usually teach 9am to around 830PM.. imagine.. one whole day!! and now im slacking away at home.. must treasure this moment.. :):)

had a great time with the 3 peeps today.. hope to have this kinda gathering soon!!

couldnt blog yesterday.. stupid quake in taiwan.. internet down.. hmm..

yesterday started off really bad.. got woken up around 5am with severe cramps.. yes it's the time of the month again.. ive always had cramps.. but this was one of the worst hits i ever had.. couldnt sleep anymore after that.. juz toss and turn.. hmm.. so couldnt go to sch to do fyp.. hmm..

stayed at home.. did some research.. but after visitin like one website, i couldnt visit anymore.. stupid internet la.. hmm.. played audition after that.. quite hooked to it.. cool game yea.. u shld try..

today i learnt parking for driving lesson!! hA.. interesting.. kinda getting the hang of it already.. yea.. fast learner huh.. hA.. but my schedule is kinda rushed.. instructor say no time already.. muz have more lessons.. cant stick to one lesson per wk only.. ive gt less than 2 mths to my test..

anw.. i really hope that the monsoon season will pass real soon.. no more floods.. especially in malaysia.. hmm.. look at the victims.. real saddening.. cant celebrate christmas and the new year properly.. hmm.. so we pple in singapore muz really thank God for his blessings man.. living in comfort here..

Today is overall a fantastic day..

Started the day waking up freaking early and reporting to lowrey music school at tampines.. helped babysit a really cute girl Rachel, cos there were so many kids around and only Ms Tan in charge.. took the chartered bus to Esplanade.. talked to Rachel on the way there.. she’s SO CUTE.. hA..

Reached Esplanade.. took damn long to juz get into the backstage dressing room.. security damn tight.. gotta get our individual security pass and scan to get in.. den oso waited damn long for our turn to rehearse..

After that had lunch with Ms Tan’s students.. this event is damn good cos most of us, Ms Tan’s students actually got to bond together.. seldom have this kinda opportunity.. was quite a rushed lunch though.. cos we were running late.. expected la.. hA..

Den went back for the actual thing.. emcee-ed first half.. quite fun.. especially the “penguin teacher” part.. hA.. den second half went to dressing room to wait for my turn with the rest.. this is when we actually bonded like crazy.. cracked jokes and stuff.. hA..

When it was our turn to go up.. I was kinda getting numbed.. went on stage and actually had problem locating middle C.. like ZZZ... and my left hand starting chord was OFF.. like TOTAL ZZZZZ.. cant believe i did that.. hai..

anw.. den went back to the dressing room and bond again.. exchanged msn and stuff.. the back stage at esplande is damn cool btw.. it's all linked to the Esplanade theatre and concert hall.. damn cool.. was like a maze though.. hA..

after the whole thing, went to have dinner at swensens with YUANZHEN and SHAUNA.. long time neva see shauna le.. hA.. had great fun.. den walked to city hall starbucks drink coffee and chat.. toked bout st nix days.. wad fun we had..

today's performance was quite sucky..

couldnt really get used to the touch of the piano and pedal.. and the place was kinda distracting.. the cars and buses and all.. we were at orchard road btw.. the hotel's under renovation, so the stage was right outside the hotel.. thus the noise and stuff.. couldnt hear myself.. hmm..

but also another thing.. my mind wasnt there in the playing.. something kept popping up in my head.. this thing i cant tell anyone.. till now, no one knows about this thing that's bugging me.. the closest i went to mentioning it was to my piano tcher..

i smsed her to kinda apologise for not playing well, and explained a lil.. so she called and wanted to know more.. but.. i dun exactly feel like tellin anyone.. so.. nvm.. when the day which i really cant take it anymore comes, maybe i will say.. but not now.. im still strong..

as i said before and i will say again.. throughout my whole 12 years or so playing the piano, NOT ONCE have they watched me performed. they have not even BOTHERED to show INTEREST. was disappointed at the last perf at YMS. they promised to watch my tml's perf. but now when tml is coming, they say they may not be able to wake up.

im so pissed off, i told them, then monday's esplanade one dun even bother coming. even though i already got 2 free tics for them. i should have juz told the lowrey person that i do not need the tics.. juz give them to some other parents that are more appreciative and supportive.

haven been updating huh.. let me talk a lil bout the 2-days piano tcher's workshop..

firstly.. it was great!! hA.. it is much much less formal than compared to the ABRSM seminar i went to last time.. this one has a smaller grp.. ~50++.. the speaker, Julie Tan is the president of the Singapore Music Teacher's Association.. she's fantastic.. remembers our names and calls upon us.. hA..

we played some games and did lots of balls.. to get to understand music more.. i learnt lots.. seriously lots and lots and lots.. hA.. took notes.. she gave notes too.. joined their mailing list.. im so gonna attend every single seminar she gives.. hA..

and this guy called Thomas came and joined us in the games and all.. we had fun.. called each other by first names.. on the 2nd day, there were brochures bout their past seminars around.. like piano pedagogy and stuff.. Thomas's biography was there.. guess wad.. he's the Head of Piano Studies at NUS YST conservatory.. L-O-L..

to think that i actually called him by his first name.. if i actually do even get into YST, he will be in charge of me la.. he's Dr Hecht!! not THOMAS.. LOL..
