Awkward

This is our server and yes she is practically in Nick's lap. I was laughing so hard and Nick was trying to hold it in. She was foreign-ish and I don't think she had a clue.

McCall

Tradition ( I guess, 2 years in a row) the Pancake house with their ginormous pancakes. Taylor tired some Tabasco sauce like daddy. She doesn't look to excited to try it here.

Taylor's Breakfast, (okay not really she and I split that but even with nicks help we had a whole pancake and half the ham left over.

(Taylor, "WHOA!")

Our friends!!

And this is Taylor's new mad face. It is pretty funny mostly because she can't really hold it before she starts to smile.

It's magic

I am the worst with the Video camera. I stopped it before she could tell us that it was magic that the letter disappeared. Also please excuse her outfit, she dresses herself these days and I just don't have the heart to tell her that some things might not go together. So if you haven't figured it out yet, Taylor sent her letter to Santa and it was a really fun experience, mostly because it "disappeared" like magic.

I'm thankful for....

This is our kitchen sink. I went to put Taylor down for a nap and it was pretty full, okay, OVERFLOWING with dirty dishes. I was not looking forward to doing all of them so I put it off for a little while, while I put Taylor down. Well I tend to fall asleep randomly these days so when I woke up I heard the sink running. My first thought was disbelief. (those of you who know Nick he really does not like to do dishes.) I went downstairs to see that my WONDERFUL husband had stopped watching Football and went and did the dishes for me AND put the all of the clean dishes from the dishwasher away. Hormones I know, but I was fighting back tears. I know that it is something so small and simple, but that makes me just absolutely love this guy. Honey, I love you and Thank you so much for all that you do and know that you mean the world to me.

Funny Girl

Taylor is really excited to be a big sister. She has been baby crazy lately. She pretends that almost everything is a baby. She feeds and burps them and puts them to sleep. She came to me with her stroller full of toys and said " Mom look at all of my babies!" She is going to be such a great help when her little brother comes.

She is growing up as well. She can now swing all on her own. She went out one day and I heard her yelling " MOM!!! MOM, LOOK!" and she was swinging all by herself. It is quite the accomplishment for her.

Another new thing that she loves to do is to dress herself. After every nap (yes she still takes naps and she is a happier kid with them!) she comes down with a completely different outfit. I finally snapped a picture of her with her unique ensemble and her "sword" (it's the bat). Most outfits are not complete without a skirt. She puts them over all her pants.

This was one of the moments in life where I wish I could rewind and record exactly what happened. So last night we wrote Taylor's letter to Santa Clause. It started out okay but then we got to the list part and she insisted that she didn't need anything. "I have toys already and I put them away and then the box wont shut!" I tried to explain that because she was a good girl that Santa Clause could bring her special toys and then she said something like this "but what about my brother? Santa Clause can bring him things that he can bite." bite meaning chew on. SO I was expecting her to be so excited to make a list and all she could do was say that she didn't need any more toys and worry that her little brother wouldn't get any toys. I was so touched because that is truly what Christmas is about, caring for others and not ourselves. It was a great lesson for me.

Finally I got out of her what she had told me all along that she wanted;
A little mermaid swimming doll
My little ponies
some Play dough
some goldfish crackers
Make up (lip gloss)
Coloring stuff, markers and coloring books.

She also drew Santa a picture of the toys she wanted (mermaid and pony) and she wrote her name all on her own.
