Baseball Season Is In The Air

A few weeks ago we took a little trip to Coors Field in Denver to check out the Rockies home field and stadium. It was an awesome tour that took us many places we'd never get to see otherwise. Rick was in seventh heaven and PJ just wanted the game to start. We had to keep explaining that we are just looking, and they won't be playing today because it is hard to play baseball in the Rockies in February.
This is the visitors dressing room. It was really nice and comfy, but they didn't let us sit in the comfy leather couches designated for player.
The visitors bench.
It was great to see what it is like from the benches and to experience what we have always wondered about. We'll go again if anyone would like to take a tour.

Touring the Candy Factory

Did you ever wonder where all those fancy candies were made that you find at Harry and David or Bath and Body Works. Hammonds is the place for some of that, and a lot less expensive than you'll find at those store. It was pretty cool to watch giant candy canes be made and chocolate covered marshmallows. For some things it is a 3 day process, and very detail oriented.
I don't think they wanted us taking pictures of the work area, but we snuck one in anyways. This is more of the packing area.
She thinks if she covers her eyes that no one can see her. We just let her think that. A couple of the things we tasted there were clove candies and carmel covered marshmallows. YUM! It was a good time.

Living In or Outside the Box?

My mom sent some dresses, and PJ decided to model them for me. She loves it because it has sparkly sequence on it. She is a girl who loves her bling!
A cardboard box usually ends up being the best toy around. PJ has been using this as her fort for a good 2 weeks now. She thought taking food in there was a good idea until she figured out the dog also thought it was great. Then she still thought it was a good idea and made blockades to keep the dog out. It is now a little more colorful from her artwork, and has a few more toys to hang out with her.
How many people can you fit into a box? At one point they also had the dog in there too, but Scooter doesn't really stay still so she was kicked out. Thank goodness Rick is game for anything.

Another Year at The Stock Show

We had so much fun last year that we decided to go again. PJ got in lots of different rides on so many different horses. It was lots of fun to see all the animals, and PJ walked the whole time without complaining.
Getting her slerp on before the rodeo started. She always refers to it at the "Radio" no matter how many times we correct her.
Good times. You are all welcome to come along next year, buckaroos.
