Skiing, Anyone?

Jo emailed the other day to spark up interest in a ski trip. I spent most of my morning on email with her and on the phone working out plans. Everything is up in the air right now but we hope to get a group together over President's Day weekend. Utah? Colorado? Who knows. I hope we get to go!

My work schedule is light due to the holidays. I'm working 9-2 Monday-Thursday and 8-12 on Fridays. I could get used to this! After getting off at noon, I went to pick up Mom and we had some errands to run. We went to the bank, the mall, to lunch, and then we wound up at The Painted Plate. We walked in, they told us how things work around there and we got started on our projects. We both chose a plate to decorate and it was a lot of fun. The gal there told us it would take about an hour to an hour and a half to paint. 3 hours and 40 minutes after we arrived, our masterpieces were finally done. We had a great time together! After that, we decided we were starving so we headed to Trilogy Pizza. Mom had never been there. She loved it. I'm going back soon to celebrate Joy's belated birthday once she gets back from Iowa.

I'm new here

This whole "blog-thing" is new to me although Nathan and I set one up about a year ago for a trip we took but never kept up with it. He said I should start my very own so, here it is. My goal, contrary to what the experts suggest, is to go back and archive special days, moments, chapters, events, etc., so that loved ones can keep tabs on what is going on in the Carmines' world. People say to start where you are today. Right now. There are just a few "big things" I want to go back and add. Hopefully, I'll mix the past and present together for a while until I get caught up. Since I'm not a big scrapbook-er, you wouldn't know it from seeing all the Creative Memories stuff I have, I hope this will be a good way for me to journal my life.

I hope I can get all of my friends to do this too so we can stay close since we don't get to see one another as often as we'd like. Here's a picture of a few of them but this picture is really old but take note, we all still look this great. (hee-hee!) No, really.
